Nice work! I was thinking of all sorts of cool things I could do with nurglings and rats on the base. Nurglings riding rats. Even a tiny battle between nurglings and rats all under the feet of the Verminlord.

Do you have any photos for us. I would like to see them. :)

I agree with a lot of points raised here.

To me it feels like GW has never changed at its core, it just managed to put up a facade for a few years. However it starts to show its true form again - A hyper capitalist company from the 80s that couldn’t give much of a damn about its fanbase.

And around in circles we go.

Anyways I am sure they‘ll move as much rules as they can behind a paywall, it’s GW afterall. Why become a modern company when the old ways taste so much better?

Will the new Drake(s) be revealed today (Mon) or tomorrow (Thue)?

To me it looks like a wet dream of H.P. Lovecraft. ;)

I would say 2 on foot and 1 on manticore. This way you should always have any sorcerers available you will ever need. Never seen or used 3 or more sorcerers on foot or 2 sorcerers on manticore.

At Sunday I played against StD with my Ogor Mawtribes. My Friend had two Sorcerers on foot and one on Manticore. The scorcerers on foot didn't had much impact on the game the Sorcerer on Manticore might be imo pointwise expensive but it hurt me like hell and lasted a long time until round 5. I think this is not only a great model but also a very good one with a cool spell.

I like the look of the list.  I love using an LoA with Drones.  I would offer the following feedback:

    - The problem with Blades is that you are paying all those points for the sorcerer, who doesn't do a lot else.  Blades is a 7 to case (just of 50%) and there are a large number of powerful casters or auto-unbinds running around.  Some armies can just kill your sorcerer before he's able to cast.  There is some likelihood that you'll never be able to get Blades off.  Blades is VERY powerful, so the risk/reward is there.  I look for consistency and I'm risk averse, so for me Blades is inferior to either of buffs from Spoilpox or Sloppity.

    - I strongly dislike Nurglings.  I get what people are using them for: summoning point by being in your opponent's territory and move blocking.  I just don't think they work very well to do either.   In a tournament, you don't have control over the size/shape/location of terrain and in many cases your opponent will screen you out of those pieces based on their deployment.  A number of battleplans have huge territories, meaning after the first movement phase you'll already be in your opponent's territory anyway in which case the Nurglings did nothing.  Once the Nurglings are placed, they are SLOW.  They don't use the first movement phase, so you are unlikely to want to spin the wheel to the movement buff to get them in a location to affect the game.  In your list, Gutrot Spume does similar things to the Nurglings.  If I wanted a unit to fill the "nurgling" role, I'd look for something cheap/fast that can also be used to take late game objectives and screen my territory from teleports.  I'd probably go for a units of Furies for 20 extra points.  Furies can go a long way in one turn (move (12), charge (2D6), retreat (12+ D6) instead of combat)... so you can move them 24+D6+2D6 inches, assuming there is a unit they can charge into.

Again, this is because I want consistent performance from my units and I am risk-averse.  If you like the play of these units, go for it.

Well, this is our main problem in mixed(demons and mortals) list.

The blades of putrefactions are great

for buffing PBK but not for Plaguebearers and other demons.

On the other hand the bilepiper und scrivener doesn't buff the PBK.

Therfore I like playing "pure" lists, i.e.

pure PBK or pure demon lists.

Thanks for the feedback, mate. Out of curiosity, why would you drop the LoA? I personally find him really useful for dishing out the extra attacks on each of the drones' weapons, being that he's the only one who can keep pace with them. I think it works out at an additional 5 or 6 attacks each.

My Fault! I don't play with plague drones, in fact i hate the models but they are none the less great troops.

And therefore i didn't saw the role of the LoA for buffing them!  Your list is therefore even better than I thoght.

I like to play my Nurgle armies with 2-4

wizards, that was the reason for taking festus instead of the LoA into the list.

But that was, as I wrote before a fault.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Hey guys - some friends and I are starting a 2k league next week. I ran this list minus the sorcerer and extra command point, but with the addition of Festus. Although it preformed pretty well, I figured the only reason I wanted Festus on the table was to unlock Blades of Putrefaction, and so I decided to drop him out for a vanilla sorcerer and the extra command point. Anybody got any thoughts on how I can improve on it? Or is Festus a better option.  All feedback welcome. :)

    (Leader x4)

    Great Unlean One

General, Grandfather's Blessing, Doomsday Bell, Bileblade, Glorious Afflictions.

    Lord of Afflictions

    Rustfang

    Sorcerer

    Blades of Putrefaction

    Gutrot Spume

    (Battleline X3)

    x30 Plaguebearers

    ×10 Blightkings

    x5 Blight Kings

    (Other)

    x6 Plague Drones

    x3 Nurglings

    Extra Command Point.

    Total: 2000

Looks pretty good but i would skip the LoA and instead taking Festus with Plague squall and may be an endless

spell or a chaos spawn for the remainig points. If you don't have endless spells. I think the whitherstave would be a great artefact imho better than rustfang.

But a lot depends on your enemies and the missions. But all in all you made a good list. Holding Power, fast units, deepstrike abilities all is there. Would like to read your experience with this list.

The godsworn battalion allows for a daemon prince to be included as the hero. However, the daemon prince typeface is normal, which means that it is referencing the specific name of the unit. In this case, it means that it can include a generic daemon prince specifically. If the battalion said DAEMON PRINCE (in bold typeface), then it would be referencing the keyword, and so be'lakor could be included.

I dont know which battalion you are referring to when you say ravager battalion. Ravagers is a subfaction and there aren't any battalions limited to just them. Happy to look at it if you give me some more info.

You are right! I was completly wrong.

I had overead the "godsworn". And thougt it to be the ravager subfaction

(not battalion-second fault). Thank you for your quick answer and my " enlightment" ;)

List 1 doesn't work because be'lakor doesn't qualify for the Battalion. Its locked to generic daemon princes.

List 2 sounds fun with lots of casts, but not really much TO cast.

I do like list 3. I'm thinking drops matter less with be'lakor because he helps mitigate that double turn threat, so throwing points at a battalion to get lower drops isn't mandatory like with other builds.

I have a question: why is list 1 battalion

locked to generic DP? Where did you read this?

And what about the Ravager Battalion?

All cultists units don't have the word cultist as generic word in the headline

but also only keyworded cultists or am i wrong at this? I hope i could express my opinion to you? Because i am not a native english speaker. greetz Homer 72

No, it´s d3 MW if your opponent rolls at least one 6. See the Errata for slaves to darkness.

Nevertheless I think the Daemon Prince is a good addition because it is one of the more offensive pieces in our faction.

Before they got pointwise more expensive (160 Points), i' ve tried a 2k list with 3 DP, that list fought very well

against an army of (old) seraphon.

So even now I always try to include at least one DP in my army ;)

Guys im on a discuss with my mates.

My idea is to bring 9 plague drones and buff them hard with +1 atak from great unclean

+1 rend from spoilpox and +1 atak when they are next to a daemon hero, say lord of afflix or daemon prince.

Also with the bell+drone alligance extra move+ tree, you can have 9 plague drones in the face of the enemy buffed, and with the comand abil of drone alligance, saving at 5+/4++.

I think this is posible thx to the plaguebearer key from plague drone. Correct me if im wrong.

    List could look like

    Spoilpox

    Vilepiper

    Lord of afflix

    Great unclean

    9 plague drones

    30 plaguebearers

    10 plaguebearers

    10 plaguebearera

    3 nurglinga

    Tallyban? Also 1 drop list

You could also go for the Munificent Wanderes Super Battalion, you would have one drop and you could include your LoA or some Pusgoyle Blightlords and even the great Verminlord Corrupter ;)

    1. Yes, you are allowed to choose a Mark when you add the Models into your army by summoning.
    2.  Plaguetouched consist of 1 STD MORTAL NURGLE HERO and 6 STD NURGLE MORTAL units. All of thoose 7 are affected by the battalions rule, but only them. Notice that among the 6 StD Mortal Nurgle Units you may also include heroes.

Hello, I 've got a further question for 2.

Must all the units in the battalion have the mark of Chaos keyword, i.e. max I take a formoid crusher or a mindstealer sphiranx into the battalion? thx for your answers.

You should remove the Witherstave artefact because One Last Gift does 1 MW on 6 to hit on your units and Witherstave rerolls 6s on hit.... not very useful.

Sorry but I think you are wrong because the witherstave only target enemy units and not your own, isn't it?

    So it will be useful.

BR: Teclis is up for preorder next week and GW previewed the boxes.  Nurgle has a box with Spoilpox, Sloppity, and 20 Plaguebearers.  It feels like this means Spoilpox / Sloppity will get new/updated warscrolls, due to how little they actually show up in lists.    I have no idea what the battalion will actually do.

The inclusion of 2 heralds seems interesting from a narrative perspective.  Is this just the beginning of Nurgle being involved in the BR story?  Anyway, excited for the BR reveals this week.

Do you have link or other source. I couldn't find anything on the net.

  15. Hello,

which one is better in your opinion, the GUO or Rotigus? What are your experiences?

Personally I would prefer Rotigus, I think he has more punch and a cool spell. On the other hand he lacks the bell option the GUO has and therefore this cool buff.

What would you do? Take the GUO or Rotigus?

  16. I think 3 Gnarlmaws will most of the tome be enough, except you go on using Horticolous a lot. For my Blightking Army i keep a reserve of

30 Plaguebearers but never had the time (points) to summon more then 15

on the field. I also think PB are better for the most purposes than nurglings.

But i love them anyway :)

    Hi.

A little foreword. So when the Sons of Behemat were released i was not really happy with GW view on their giant dudes. First of all I expected something bigger, there was "mega" in the title after all. Second - i am not really a fan of portraying a giant as just a big dumb bafoon, covered in heaps of trash. Third - the conversions that appaled to me were really extensive, almost completely reworking the model. So long story short - I decided to create my own Megagargant from scratch, using ofc the power of 3d modelling and printing. Scince i was a noob - I decided to go easy mode on my first try, i picked Nurgle) Dirt, rust, corruption, all that good stuff that can cover and hide many mistakes)

So after a lot of work here is what i came up with.

    1.jpg.aab6ea743781ac37299e04d965c40c14.jpg

    And the other pics.

And here is my dude in his final form. Little gobbo is for size comparison. He is 23 cm (9+ inches) tall, has proper armor and weapon. Still on a 130mm base.

After i finished him i understood that i suck at painting nurgle and he looks too vivid and tzeentchy. The Changer of ways has a strong foothold in my painting habbits.

    Thanks for stopping by)

I am already working on my next Megagargant project, themed on a different faction, i hope i will finish him this month.

If you have any questions or feedback- feel free to post. Cheers!

Just stumbled about your fantastic artwork. The Three Skulled Head alone is awesome and quite nurglish:)

Was this intended? If so your are a great and inventive artist, this is just so great. Thanks for your post.
