I didn't get to see it all. Are the matches replayable on the Warhammer TV Twich channel?

    Seraphon list:

    Slann
    Engine
    Astrolith

    3x10 skinks

    4 Razordons with handlers
    3 Rippers

    5 Evocators

    Bastilidon with laser
    Stegadon

    Thunderquake starhost

    Yes

  2. Weird I think a lot of the skaven line looks amazing. Just about everything out of Skyre is gorgeous. I would love if Seraphon weapons had textures on them. Instead of being a plastic stick.

Sums up most of our model lines weaponry  -

Even the plague censer bearer has better texturing

  3. Certainly he has several variations. He has won 4 events or so at this point and is a terrific person for the hobby and player.

Some lists are 6 rippers, others are 9 depending on the objectives for this GT he ran a EOTG only because one scenario was 3 places of arcane power but normally he runs 16 razordons and no EOTG.

    Slann
    EOTG
    Skink star priest
    20 skinks
    20 skinks
    10 skinks
    10 skinks
    4 razordons
    4 razordons
    4 razordons
    9 ripperdactyls
    Shadowstrike starhost

Can go first or second doesn't matter. Use the 2d6 movement to bubble wrap the entire board and play for board control.

  4. Terradons can't kill grislegore either.

    * I'm basing this on the fact that they out drop your list AND get their 5+ MW shrug spell off. This is a big maybe. If they can't shrug mortals and you roll average or better, yes, terradons are great here. I was agreeing with you that terradons are better than rippers but I find Eotg has more synergy with rippers. If you are running terradons I think comet can be a equal OR better choice here.

That is why it is much better to ignore / speed bump grislegore and take out their minions that can actually score objectives and weaker heros that buff these minions.

  5. 100% that list is great against them. I was going to bring the same list next month. I love 2 + engines with rippers. Summoning turn 1 rippers before you strike is so good. I’ve done two engine, 6 rippers and incantor.

i think Incantor is better than eotg in terradon list, no toad placement to care about. Auto unbind is so nice. I think more skinks though. Definitely no handlers. Also charm here is kinda iffy, I like wraithbow from shyish on eotg, personally.  Over all I really think the list is solid and should take out a dragon in a single shooting phase after dumping average of 12 mortal wounds!

  6. Most likely. I fought one the other weekend with a basti and it tanked for a round. I don't think its very competitive though, 2d6 is really swingy and 280 is a lot of points. I've heard good and bad things from the snakes attack but haven't run it myself. I would say given its one model its easiest to keep feeding it 10 skinks and try to tarpit.

  7. I don't think there is a way to 'handle' it. I think it will be board control and outplaying your opponent. Shadow strike + 4x4 razordons and skinks. We don't have any stat lines or rules to contest those fights, but we didn't before either. Its not like we could line up with deepkin, or dok and win. Board control, screening, and mobility is the only path I know to 5-0 an event.

  8. Not only that but when they sink in and start doing d3 a hit! I honestly love guard but I only have 15 and I agree with you, if you are serious about getting them into combat take 10. I'd love to see 20.

Slight rant but I feel like seraphon get the short end of the stick on perception. Everyone says we are overcosted and underpowered and just take skinks and play for the gold. Well thats definitely 'math' true, to an extent. However, we have some great units that can really get in, and I think a big deal of it is confirmation bias. I just see other factions take things like 600 points + of a unit and everyone is like wow yeah that unit really performs. Then we see seraphon lists invest 200 point into an idea and its like eh our stats suck why bother.

Anyway, I have really been enjoying my mortal wound shadowstrike list but I've always got saurus on my mind. To many evos and deepkin in my meta to take a 40 block of warriors, but guard might be the ticket.

Main points is that I wanted the double teleport, because I've had some games where if I had that second chance to teleport it would've won me the game.

Heh, I've lost a tournament by failing both attempts in the bottom of round 5. Teleport knows when to fail. I like the list a lot. Lots of people diss the guard for their vulnerability to mortal wounds but thats kinda the whole game, not this unit. I think they have a really strong profile. I'd love to hear how you do.
