As everyone has said Admech and a no doubt glorious Ossiarch Archer!! But could that lad on the left be from the Idoneth Warband? With a coral neck guard?

Eh its not GW's MO to feature two warbands in the same reveal, especially these days with being behind on releases.

Of those Morathi had... picture, her spies weren't mentioned in any way, Seraphon were simply mentioned and in conjunction with Gitz of all things. Fyreslayers, realmgates, is dracothion real - just mix of various things.

I think the Gitz mention is a red herring there with Seraphon the actual subject of the entry. It is of course written like a tabloid. But bottom line it teased "the lizards await their next mission from their frog-kings." That mission of course is to go into the Beastgrave and blow up the mountain.

I suppose the Morathi spies/Soulblight are an "either or" as there was speculation at the time as to whether the dead author showed no blood because they had been drained or because they had been assassinated by shadow wielders.

Thanks, so that was this article. Most of those are just seemingly random, but who knows?

    I wouldn't say they're random.

Things that have come out/been teased since that are alluded to in the article:

    - Jakkob Bugmansson

    - Khanite Shadowstalkers/spies agents of Morathi

    - Broken Realms Morathi

    - Slaanesh (including Slaanesh breaking free)

    - Soulblight

    - Seraphon Warband

I think, bottom line, this article foreshadowed a ton of stuff we've seen come out since (and even some things that still aren't out). I think that:

    1. That's incredibly cool!

    2. Given how much it has foreshadowed, I think the Malerion bit hints at something. I'm not saying its a nail in the coffin for him. But I think it must allude to something we'll see play out eventually.

    See, @Random ? Wasn't that hard after all :P:P:P

I have to say I am pretty reassured by that little message, easier to wait...

NOW SHOW US BE'LAKOR, GW !

Idk. We already knew there was going to be  preorder next time with Drukhari. "Normal service" could mean a lot of things and doesn't tell us if they'll be going weekly, bi-weekly, or something else going forward.

I imagine from above, the zombies would look like a graveyard itself is crawling across the field. I find that to be some cool imagery.
Yes, it would have been nice to have more sculpts, like the 10 Necron Warriors got. But they might (hopefully) use that as justification to keep the kit on the cheaper end.

A pushfit box of 10 zombies with only 5 repeat sculpts at Lumineth pricing would be criminal.

If GW does stick with the gravestones on top of all of them, I hope they at least make a multi-part kit to add some more variety.

I do agree on that, I don't see these zombies being ported straight to Soulblight Gravelords, not without many additions to differentiate them. Plus admittedly the graves make them look "higher-tier" in a way, like they're supposed to be stronger than the abundant zombie chaff. I wonder if that might be a thing actually, having both weak zombies in great numbers and a few slightly more elite kinds of zombies.

I'm of a similar opinion as many of you. I actually really like the Cursed City zombies, but I also hope that any kit for the Soulblight Gravelords is different from these push fit ones. I expect these Cursed City zombies will be the same warscroll regardless. They won't be "elite" zombies.

Did the Cursed City tweet from Element Games vanish into thin air or is my googlefu just failing today?

They appear to have taken it down :(

We might be getting bumped so they can keep Broken Realms on track for 3rd edition.

If Cursed city was "right around the corner", I think we would definitly know the release month. We have a cursed city novel that should most likely be released the same time as the box.

Now their is the problem. Warhammer Community has a black Library coming soon article where they basicly show the releases of the next two months:

    https://www.warhammer-community.com/blacklibrarycomingsoon/

The problem is, the Cursed City novel is not listed their. We have stuff for march and april listed.

It's most likely that the Lumineth Realm-lords Release and maybe Broken Realms Teclis is in march because we still wait on that book:

    ACtC-3ehLJm3xX0WjahCR50DOVko3a9vAg9YJIyw

The other books that should be released and april are those

    ACtC-3dBvDU4LloU4DDVwrIVooqS8ciWtwLhpDbF

    ACtC-3fG8uAilG0gw_XYLlF0UnKZ2_f-klXVu8TW

    ACtC-3cKc3y8hhwb9o1puvpf6eIXogTLJBfiGZng

It cursed city should be released in march or april, the book Cursed City novel would be shown in this list as well, so we are either in the last week of April (and the Cursed City novel isn't added yet, or the release is in May.

To give a comparrison, Direchasm and Warcry Catacombs were in the months as well as their bookreleases:

    ACtC-3cG9rFa0fIZGP756XvHp-dXByQ6fSQnY8TP

    ACtC-3cbEeShr3NaRd_Z9tPsVRQ6vQ33rJf7qnHc

+ We had the Bonesplitterz Warband in the Preview as well, that is a May Release.

It is a little concerning. It could just be that whether it is March or April is up in the air so they don't want to pin it down yet. I can't see it being pushed all the way to May. We saw the image in the style above for Cursed City that originally showed March 2021.

  10. Has anyone else noticed that the Cursed City paint jobs (including the Vampire previewed today), seem to be a step above what we usually see for the studio models? The edge highlighting isn't as cartoonish and there are some really impressive blends.

  11. Interesting model. Another unclear article. Surely this model will be part of a Cursed City expansion given the lore but odd that they didn't come right out and say that. Could he be the 9th playable hero? I had my doubts it would be a new model, but seems like he has a bone to pick with Radukar.

To those wondering, it appears we’re NOT going back to weekly releases as they didn’t announce any preorders for this weekend but have said Dark Eldar are on the 20th

The other (worse) possibility is that nothing is going on preorder the 13th and the 20th is going to be the next time we have something up. I suspect we'll hear more later this week.

I would have though that’s a April/May release as it was revealed later, we’ve know about new Lumineth and Teclis since New Years.

I dont think that's accurate. Both had models teased in the New Year trailer. Both had silhouettes and a couple models shown 2 reveal shows ago, and both had their full release revealed in the last preview show.

Additionally, there was a picture leaked the other day for the Cursed City Black Library book that shows that at one point it was intended for a March release.

For all we know it could become a single Monthly release. Drop absolutely everything at the beginning of the month.

I really don't get it. The Global COVID situation has been drastically improving over the last 2 months and somehow GW's supply chain issues seem to be getting even worse than they were before.

  15. 5 minutes ago, JustAsPlanned said:

I could see this being either a vampire or some kinda chaos sorcerer given the sword design

Vampires seems like a decent guess since their thing so far with the new models has been "silly hair" and this silhouette delivers more of that.

  16. GW sure wrote a whole lot of words there to provide 0 clarity on their upcoming release schedule. They didn't even say something as basic as "we're sticking to bi-weekly for now." In fact, they didn't even explicitly say "there is no preorder this week." They just left us to conclude it by saying nothing about it.

Didn't even know about that one. Not feeling like I missed out on anything though.

Existing models is a cost-efficient way of getting expansions through but I'm hoping for new stuff too. Although if they follow the Silver Tower pattern of releasing plenty of rules for existing hero models then I would enjoy that.

I have zero interest in expansions that use existing models, especially if I already have the models and have to buy the set again just to get cards/rules etc.

Pretty sure that's just a fur hat, but otherwise I agree that him not being an ogre is a good thing(if there were ogre vampires, they'd be unstoppable), though I hope the zombie ogres get expanded on, as it's a nice change of pace.

My money is on that we get two centerpieces for Gravelords, one new piece for the new named character, and possibly The Black Coach from Nighthaunt as lore wise it's dragging the corpses of Necromancers and Vampires around.

I think it is a pretty safe bet that a new Corpse Cart is in the cards for the Gravelords. There are even some rumor engines that would fit for it.

It's interesting that the city is still 'alive' to an extent - i.e. it still has humans living in it, presumably upholding some basic amount of the day-to-day running of the city, rather than just being ruins full of monsters like these settings usually are (Mordheim, Shadespire, etc). I wonder if that will be reflected in the scenario design at all, as narratively speaking that's a pretty different dynamic to just heading into a dungeon and bashing some bad guys. You're almost more like freedom fighters trying to retake the city.

It is a pretty common setting in Vampire stories to have a town of locals under the shadow of the vampire overlords (Dracula, Curse of Strahd, and Critical Role's Briarwood arc for example). The vampires need living humans to feed on so they can't wipe out the whole populace.

We haven‘t seen this one yet

Though there is a rumour engine that fits his sword... mhm 🤔

Nah turns out he's the feral vamp up on the pillar. I thought the same as you at first but now that leaves the rumor engine unsolved and something else to look forward to...
