  1. We have a strange escalation tourney at my local GW, starting at 500pts, 1 leader, 1 battle-line.

    I have the following goodies:

    • 20 Bounderz
    • Loonboss on Squig
    • Loonboss on Mangler (Could counts as mangler)
    • (Loonboss on) Aleguzzler Gargant (don't ask)
    • 12 Squig Herd
    • Zarbag's Gitz (I could take the heavily armoured gitz as a regular loonboss, and Zarbag as a madcap shaman)

I was going to go with this, but I feel I'll get shot off the board too easily:

    • Loonboss on Squig
    • 12 Squig Herd
    • 5 Squig Hoppers (counts as, using bounderz)
    • 1 Aleguzzler Gargant

I know I'm not going to win as i'm new to AOS, however I'd like to survive the first and maybe second turn! :P

Does anyone have a suggestion for either a reasonable force for 500 points (I'd prefer to use what I have, as I'd have to buy and build it by tomorrow) or something wacky that should be fun to play?

  2. I'm wanting to try BoneSplitterz, but everything I'm reading recently seems to indicate that GW overlooked a flaw which made them very competitive, and in a knee-****** response, nerfed them to heck and back.

Is it likely now that regular orks have gone, that Bonesplitterz will follow? I really like the idea of stone-age orks covered in warpaint.

Our store is doing a mini escalation league, so was thinking of going to it with Bonesplitterz, but not sure if they are going to get squatted or not.

  3. The warscroll builder is a little janky on Skirmish.

I added a bunch of beastmen figures, got the points to 240. I then upgraded a bestigor and ungor raider to 'unit leader' and was expecting it to go to 250 (5pts per upgrade). It went above 250, so my list wasn't valid, I removed them, and it kept them at that points cost. I'm not sure what it is trying to do.

I've had to calculate my skirmish force outside of the warscroll builder.

I totally considered the chariots, but again, they look so bad that I don’t want to deal with them. You wouldn’t happen to have any good ideas to convert them?

I'm intending on using the Orc Boar chariot, swap the boars out for chaos warhounds, and stick some Gor on to drive it. Job done.

Failing that, if you're at all crafty (hobby, not sneaky), you could pick some plastic wheels up from a bits seller, and build the frame out of some scrap wood/plasticard, which means you can really go to town with making this cobbled-together look. Use some chaos warhounds, or ork boar rider boars to pull it, and you'll be fine.

If you do that, you can then covert one or more of the ork boars into razorgors.

So managed to get some 105x70 bases for the chariots. Dont think I can use the chaos chariot as a conversion as the bases are tiny

Would Ork Boar Chariots fit on those bases? I've just picked some up off ebay to try and modify (use warhounds or something for the pulling beasts), will be a bit of a pain if they are too big.
