Event Title: Mancunian Carnage: Spring 2022
Event Author: Boombatty80
Calendar: Events UK
Event Date: 05/21/2022 12:00 AM to 05/22/2022 12:00 AM
Mancunian Carnage is my events series which runs throughout the year. These are classic 5 game AoS tournaments with the added bonus of my boundless enthusiasm and untethered determination to make things a bit ‘different’. My aim is to ensure that there is always a way to enjoy the weekend, be you a power player, a painter or a wooden spoon contender.
There are 84 spaces at each event and last year both sold out (though with drops closer to the date attendees hovered around the 70-80 number).
Tickets are £50 per player, can be bought here and will include a proper lunch on both days & entry to the evening quiz (to save you from Stockport’s dreadful nightlife).
You can find the most recent Carnage singles tournament pack through this link. The 2022 events will follow a similar structure….with some twists thrown in.

Mancunian Carnage returns to a new venue to satisfy the demand. A tournament like no other ‘Carnage’ delivers five matched play games, with the added addition of bespoke secondary scenarios, across two days with 80 entrants competing for the podium as well as a host of other awards spanning sportsmanship, painting and list building.
Ghost Arm Jones, your gracious host, endeavours to welcome one and all to this singular celebration of Warhammer, camaraderie and eccentricity.Event Pack Can Be Found Here

After some heated discussion online over the past few days at the start of the tournament season I've taken the decision to make some changes to the way sportsmanship/good play is rewarded. It's an attempt to strike a balance between rewarding positive behavior & limiting the chance that 'vote canvassing' or swapping will take place. Any thoughts on this welcome.
-
Cracking stuff Paddy - good to have you on board.
-
No worries Dave. Be good to have you down if you can make it.
My ‘Size Kweens’ Ironjawz will certainly be knocking around as I’ll be stepping in with them in the event we get odd numbers; they might look good but they’re reliably dreadful enough in game to make sure I don’t accidentally win my own tournament.
-
Cheers fella - you're on the list! Looking forward to having you in the manchester!

It's being hosted by my good self at The Forge in sunny Manchester. It’s a fantastic venue and has the benefit of being very new and well kitted out so should be a perfect setting for the weekend.
It's a £35, 32 players, 5 game, AoS tournament with lunch thrown in each day.
You can snaffle yourself a ticket here - https://t.co/2Lh1mRQ4Oq
And you can check out the rules pack here - https://t.co/7HRTBad15b
Ideally what this event will be is a good humoured and lively two day event with some fun opponents, challenging matchups and lovely miniatures to ogle at too. Competitiveness is expected but if you can’t laugh off a defeat or an unfortunate dice roll going against you then you might be in the wrong place.
Any questions give me a shout!

I agree. I have looked at other GW models, even 40k, but nothing seems to stand out as a good basis for conversion. I know there are other model ranges out there, but I'd rather keep the Aesthetic consistent throughout the army. I've painted just under 1000 points of Ironjaws thus far, so wasn't planning to get a Mawcrusha just yet, but when I do it seems I'll have to start learning how to magnetise.
Not sure how confident you are yet with conversions but you could do worse than looking at some of the older range. One of my megabosses is the old grimgor ironhide which I picked up on eBay before stripping - just gave him a more scenic base to make up for his size.
Alternatively from the 40k Ork range check out Boss Snikrit or the big ass Weirdnob. It wouldn't take an awful lot to get them to fit right in - especially given how many weapons & bits of armour you'll have laying around on old sprues.
Hope that helps.

I'll see how it plays out.
It's important to note that I'm primarily a tournament player so the list needs to be very versatile both in terms of what it can handle competitively in melee as well as being able to full-fill objectives.

Where is it written "once per battle"? it is a command abbility.
'that has not used it before this battle'

I like those kind of list.
But I'd like to add a Goul king on terrorgheist (as allied?)
Can this GKoTH summon some let say Crypt Flayers if he is allied? it is unclear to me. And is this once per battle or what?
Indeed he can and yes it'll only be once.
-
The hordes are there to attack too really. I'm convinced they'll be underestimated and at that size they're almost always going to get their re-rolls.
Tweaked a bit though to take on board comments about objectives. At those sizes I ought to be able to summon them repeatedly from my grave sites.
