Does anyone have any thoughts on how updates to current Warscrolls--which in many cases seem absolutely necessary to me--will be handled when the new edition drops? I play Seraphon, and almost every Warscroll in my army mentions a spell-based summoning mechanic for the given unit that will no longer be in play. And there's been talk that at least one unit, the Engine of the Gods, will have some changes to its abilities.
On the one hand, it seems unlikely that GW would go though the hundreds of extant Warscrolls and update them all, but on the other hand, what might their workarounds be? A blanket statement in one of the new books saying something like "ignore the bits that don't apply anymore," only, y'know, in fancier language than that?
ETA Off topic, but it makes me irrationally happy that this is the 13,000th post in this topic.

In the second episode of the new podcast they said a couple intresting thing:
-Spells costs points (around 20 to 40 each)
-A new spell "crystal wall" (probably the one in the ironjaws image someone posted previously) that prevents from shooting trought it
And the models will be sold in a box of 13.
I don't know what "Ironjawz" image everyone is talking about. I remember a crystal wall in a Seraphon image, mind. ? -
It looks less like smoke to me than seaspray. But surely we've had all the "under water" stuff we're likely to see for awhile.

I am super excited to attend this. My first tournament!

So does the spell list on that Warscroll indicate to others that we'll not be seeing expanded "standard" spells in the new core rules?

Not sure if true, but... heard that Gotrek in the "Realmslayer" audio drama will be voiced by BRIAN BLESSED:
Oh that would be amazing!

I'm really excited by what I've read here so far, though I worry about my Bastiladon's lack of efficacy in melee compared to shooting. Hopefully units like that one will get some expanded melee characteristics.

This was a phenomenal event. The physical environment was great--good looking battlemats with GREAT looking terrain on all tables in a spacious high-ceiling room with enormous windows, with a bar and restaurant just up the hallway. But even better than that was the social environment. Everyone I played was there to compete, but even more they were there to have a good time and were very welcoming to this newcomer to the tournament scene. The Tournament Organizer and his plucky band of volunteers have every right to be proud of the great event they managed.
It took until my fifth and final game to cross off my last objective, but I met every one of my goals for the weekend. I had a great time, I meet some new folks, I learned a lot, I scored a certain number of sports points, and I achieved one victory.
I will definitely be putting this tournament on my calendar for next year, and I highly recommend that anyone who can get to Nashville in high Spring do so as well!
