  1. https://www.totalwar.com/blog/who-is-zhao-ming-cathay-warhammer-3/ More Cathay lore drips coming our way! It looks like Zhao Ming is the cathayan equivalent of a runesmith: He loves working with metal and magic. However, most of his family believe he's being corrupted from exposure to either Warpstone, foreign magic, or the bloody Great Maw itself! That last one sticks out to me, as we've never really seen the Ogre's god affecting anyone but the ogre kingdoms. Also, more mentions of Hobgoblins causing mayhem, which leads me to point out Chaos Dwarfs incoming.
  2. “Furnace Kings” seems to be the name being pumped out by GW to be the next chorf army since the real gate wars if I’m not mistaken. I personally love it, it’s not too AOS that we have to mock the ****** outta it, but still unique enough to be copyrighted.
  3. Honestly the only way this @Norray could've gotten us even more hyped is. if he said "Vampire Pirates with Ogre Zombie war band."
  4. I’m hoping next week is Stormcast preorder week, this way the rest of Spooktober is open for more important stuff. Stuff like Warcry, Necromunda, and Chaos Dwarfs.
  5. Agreed, a roadmap for everything GW produces would be amazing right now, especially since they're apparently not doing any more previews atm. AOS and anything related to Fantasy, barring Total War and The Old World, seems to be getting the shaft for now, while 40k is getting another space marine army(albeit a rather badass one), and has a ,so far, accurate unofficial roadmap in the form of that one rumor post. For now I propose we all focus on finishing our current armies and posting nonsensical rumors about Chaos Dwarfs until we know what chaos is getting this October.
  6. First off, which issue if this from? I’m really hoping they go the Funrace Kings route instead of the crappy 4chan “Oathtakers.” One sounds like the IRS, the other sounds like canon Daemonic Steam Engines. The same people who say that probably believe Magnus did nothing wrong in 40K, when we all know that’s a lie.
  7. Could you send me those pictures? or a link to them?
  8. But then they wouldn’t get plastic models, and if they did they’d probably be squatted despite being really cool models.
  9. My only concern is what would this proposed Chaos Scorpion God be the deity of? We already have two different gods of poison (Spider God and Nagendra of the Splintered Fang), maybe it's a corrupted death god who kills grave robbers whose followers hate anything related to Nagash (especially OBR for obvious reasons).
  10. A plastic Firebelly would be amazing, especially if it lead to a whole new subsection of Ogor. The Crematorians are the OBR subsection who basically turn into what certain people in the south think all muslims are.
  11. I've had the head canon that Hashut is the one that runs the soul forges that make Soul-Grinders. It just fits the lore so well.
  12. Ashcrawlers is just a wonderful combination of words. Seriously, anything called "Ashcrawlers" in fantasy/sc-fi just brings out images of many legged lava monsters and I love it. Scorpions are honestly my favorite arachnid (besides the jumping spider), they run on the simple philosophy of "Don't mess with me and I won't sting you" and scorpion gods in fiction tend to do the same.
  13. This, this right here @Neverchosen, speaks to my soul. In unrelated rumors/news, Grand Cathay Lore!!! https://www.totalwar.com/blog/total-war-warhammer-3-grand-cathay-lore/ And Now GW has joined the fun!!! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/09/21/read-the-official-background-for-total-war-warhammer-iiis-most-deadly-units/
  14. Sorry @MitGas, the age of the multiple elf release is over, that is clearly a Chaos Dwarf! All jokes aside I don’t actually think it’s either faction, odds are it’s something death or sylvaneth related.
  15. The last “rumors” we had for AOS are as follows: 1. Revamped Beasts of Chaos. 2. Spiderfang update. 3. The Dawnbringer Crusades. 4. Actual Chaos Dwarfs (either named Furnace Kings or Oath-Takers). With the Warcry teaser we have exactly…… Ditka.
  16. WHO DARES MOCK THE TOMB KINGS OF LONG LOST NEHEKHARA?!?!?!
  17. Do you guys think GW noticed they forgot to release the Boltboyz?
  18. Rant time! Okay, what we know from this video is that we have the beloved 8 legged monsters coming to the varanspire. The so called “Red Harvest” seems to be set underground, in the various mines/forges that fuel Archaon’s wars. Now some people are pointing out that it seems like Spiderfang are getting shafted. However, in an relatively old White Dwarf article covering Spiderfang it’s mentioned that The Spider God is worshipped as The Scuttling Queen by assassins. In conclusion, it looks like we might be getting chaos spider bois vs Chorfs/Iron Golems.
  19. Roughly 2 hours until the big reveal(s) tonight. What do people expect on the Warcry and Necromunda side of things? I’m not putting 40K because it’s all but confirmed to be Black Templars.
  20. Honestly GW seems like it tried and failed to rip off Lovecraft when it comes to the chaos gods sometimes. It doesn’t help that for the most part the depictions and art of the 4 all make them seem somewhat humanoid. Josh Reynolds really made the Chaos Gods seem like primordial beings of madness by using astronomical terms to describe them. My favorite example is his description of Slaanesh in the second Fabius Bile book: a being whose smile is made up of galaxies and tears in the fabric of the universe. Doesn’t that sound horrifying?
  21. I do t think we were supposed to see them tonight, if you go back to the homepage the link is gone.
  22. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/09/18/gen-con-the-skull-tribe-slaughterers-will-put-the-blood-into-blood-bowl/ its Blood Bowl tonight bois!!!
