  1. An astute observer in the Spanish Lumineth group has pointed out that this could be the helmet for a future redesign of the Phoenix Guard (which I really hope it happens, one of the most beautiful models of all time). Looking forward to 4th

This is the second time we get a Dawnbringers short focused on Skavens. Deffo with the Chaos book (presumably the 6th one) we would get a new Skaven hero.

If I remember correctly, we were told that we would get miniatures for "more than 12 factions". It would be fitting to give the last miniature, and 13th (more than a dozen) to the Skaven

Can you said some date?  Maybe preorders on 3 th febreruay?

In Spain there is a Big tournament and if It isnt release before 14th, i cant play :(

Yeah...It's already not in for Mallorca and I don't think it will for Talavera. I hope that, at least, the Battlescroll drops this week, given this paragraph:

Next week on Warhammer Community, we will have a new miniature to reveal for Necromunda, more Dawnbringer fiction, and a breakdown of Warhammer Age of Sigmar competitive play at the Las Vegas Open.

As previously said here, behold the spirit of the river.

Jokes aside, I think it was a great preview. I am a bit disappointed for Ossiarch players, I really thought that we would get more minis for book IV today. The Morai-Heg is great and Callis and Toll + Retinue are impressive, but it is true that book IV feels a bit underwhelming right now.

As for the rest, stunning Kroot (I have never been a fan of theirs, I prefer O'Shovah and the whole armoury of Tau) and great models all around. And I definitely think that we are going to get a book VI of Dawnbringers to tie with 4th edition and bring the forces of chaos.

  5. What I love about GA: Death right now is that we have four armies that feel, in lore and rules, pretty different from each other:

Soulblight as endless hordes of corpses and powerful undead wizards

Ossiarch as the disciplined legions of Nagash

Nighthaunt as a ghostly procession that inspires fear

Flesh Eater as the heroic knights that defend the realms.

Really interesting rules. Fortunately I have other hobby projects at the moment, but I would be very interested

A Lumineth Warband could be very interesting, even though I would have much preferred Idoneth. I'm hoping for Zenith and that we get a look into which creatures they'll be getting.

A unit of scouts with DR would be fantastic. And having something new for my favourite army is always a treat, so bring it on, GW!

A potential LRL warcry unit would be a representative of one of the other elemental castes(?) I assume. From what I know there are supposed to be 2 more schools of natural hysh magic alongside the alarith and hurakan. Do correct me if I'm wrong though I'm not a LRL player.

We are still missing some Tyrionic elements (Like chariots) and the temple of Water + Zenith. I don't think the rumour engine fits with any of those categories, unforunately :(

  8. Now I am picturing a sort of Avatar of Morai-Keg (Like Belthanos is the herald of Kurnous or the Eidolon the collective reimagining of Mathlann), and that would be very cool for DoK. They lack another centrepiece besides Morathi, and the other aelven armies do have one (Avalenor/Eidolon-Leviadon/Treemen-Belthanos), so it would be nice.

But if it ends up being Lumineth I would not complain 😀

Keeping in mind that so far 90% of rules content for the dawnbringers books is new Armies of Renown (aka new subfactions) a new DoK unit or hero that has a themed army built around them seems on brand. And the hag is kinda death themed, so it would fit with book 4, probably.

With Whitefang's like here, I am excited to see if DoK get a nice unit instead of yet another hero/warband

The seraphon box would be absolutely perfect if I hadn't already bought the Slaan, unfortunately the armybox was a thing.

Yep. It is probably the best, alongside OBR, but it is repetitive with the army box. Same goes for Slaves (you already have 10 chosen and the Theridons, and I would argue that you probably bought a Vanguard on top of it too). I was expecting something more...spectacular. Be'lakor or Katakros would make the boxes 10 times better, at least for me.

I don't consider two dragons 75. I consider them 3 Stormbringer issues, which is half that.

But given that we are currently in issue...6? (At least in Spain), that would mean that you could get those dragons in around a year and a half. Not worth the wait, imho, especially if you get a nice discount from your local store.

If we are having another preview in mid-November, I guess they will want to release everything shown before then. We have Epic, KT, 2 40k books, the remaining CoS miniatures and Dawnbringers III, so I guess that it will be announced in 3-4 Sundays. IMHO, epic, KT, one 40k Codex and Cities will take preference.

Anyone got guesses what the new faction reveal for Kill Team will be?

According to Valrak now it would be the time for Space Marine Scouts vs new Eldar Striking Scorpions (looking forward to it). He also mentioned something regarding Tau auxiliary forces (Kroot or Vespids) and new Swooping Hawks, but I don't think that they will renew two aspect warriors through KT instead of the mainline game.

  14. I don't think it means anything, but when speaking about the changes to rupture, Nick speaks about the interaction with "the old Incarnate of Ghur", perhaps pointing inadvertently to a new, let's say spiderish, one?

    (First minute, more or less)

Probably just a comment on the relative age of the miniature, but found it curious.

exciting, hopefully there's more than just ironjawz, I'd love for bonesplitterz and/or kruleboyz to get a little love too. Although I'd be fine if KB got some rules updates and no new models.

No clue what to expect from new IJ units though, they aren't really lacking for anything. Maybe a named foot megaboss? Then da Choppaz can get the foot boss, and bloodtoofs can have a unique big pig variant.

My bet would be on Maw-Grunta, new Ardboyz, warmachine, the named character mentioned before which, perhaps, it'sa megaboss on grunta? And then you can have the generic variant as the 5th unit.

    Very excited with this update!
