Wait WTF? Are you guessing or do you know for sure?

I'm hoping and praying for that. We should have something like emerald lifeswarm but cooler and better

  2. Hello all. I was thinking on touching my stormcast list because I never feel the mood to use them. I have other armys (idoneth, sylvaneth, 1k kharadron and LoN) and I was thinkign on going elite with stormcast. My actual list is:

Relictor, Castellant, Celestant, Neave, Incantor, Arcanum.

    2 x5 liberator, 2x 5 judicators
    5 retributor, 3 prosecutor, 3 pallador and 2 fulminator.

I feel I only need battlelines and relictor, I can keep fulminators cause I like them and maybe palladors. I would like to have an army that combines well too with my 1k kharadron if I wanna go 2k with kharadron-stormcast. So I was thinking of:

Arcanum on flying goat, 2 arcanum on dracoline, Relictor.
    2 x5 Liberator, 5 Judicator.
5 evocator, 3 evocator on dracoline.

And the other option is changing 2 Arcanum on dracoline for Celestant Prime and Incantor.

Whay do you think??? Is Arcanum on flying goat worth it?? Is Celestant Prime worth it?? Shoud I keep Palladors and change that 5 evocators as they are 200p??

I see Celestant Prime a bit weak for his points. And Arcanum on goat has more health.

I think 2 Arcanum and relictor give a nice healing buff, and evocators are cool too.

    Any thoughts or suggestions??

Looks like Forbidden Powers will introduce a mercenary system! Fitting for Fyreslayers, but the question is, who will join them? Will every faction be available as mercenaries or only specific armies?

I don't understand that. Will Fyreslayers be as mercenaries??? Will every army able to have mercenaries?? from differente factions or aliances?????

  4. I was almost 100% sure not to wait for big changes so the kurnoth are the same. Maybe they rework the tricks of the tree rev but nothing else. Of course, new battletome, new batalions, new endless and maybe new terrain... we will see

  5. So..  no news today?

I hope that if they change the wyldwoods just split it into three independent trees that need to be on a distance between them. Just the same way we use them, but easier to transport and to put on the battlefield.

And I hope theres an endless that let us resurrect deleted units like a tree of life or something

  6. I had touched my sylvaneth to a more snowy winter-spring time. I added too something I dont know the name in English, that green plastic thing that imitates plants for christmas :)

Btw. I was reading 100 times the comunity article and I was thinking why they direct us to Drycha instead of the Start Collecting as toher times they did on similar posts. I dont own Drycha, and I think by now I didn't need it (I love the model but never included on my army), so I wanna know if maybe drycha has a summon ability now to bring spite rev or tree rev. Personally I don't like spite stats, I never used and I dont think I will, but I absolutely love tree rev. Hope to see a nice rework of our army. Cant wait!!

  7. I was thinking something... we were the first army with terrain, NOW every new army comes with terrain and maybe we will have a terrain with cool mechanics.

Maybe we can put 3 trees as we are saying, and maybe they block line of sight on an area of 3 to 6". With this we can use those trees as it were our forest, and it would block almost the same area.

Awaken the woods would work something like: choose a tree and blabla mortal wounds, and if is there any other tree near 6" it awakens too and hits near enemies.

Setting a wyldwood can change to "set three sylvawoods" or "set one sylvawood". If this comes I see a huge table control too, just imagine the 6 trees separate on the battle and u can teleport into them.... very cool.

Also we don't know anything, maybe they don't change the wyldwood. As I see it I would like the change, if it is like I'm thinking of.

And we are forgetting something else, endless spells!!! We could have something like emerald lifeswarm but better bigger and cooler than let us turn to life Tree Rev or why not turning entire units to life. Something like LoN makes, when a unit is slain roll a dice and with 4+ u can set up the same unit on a graveyard (sylvawood or coolspore spell) and then of course they teleport to 6" of any of our sylvawoods around the map.

Another endless of course would be ROOTS!!!! An area and everything there and 3" can't move or only moves 1".

And a damage dealer spell, bugs or something. Like drycha magic but on endless spell.

So how do u see it??? The regrowing Spore would be cool isn't it?? GW hear me I want it all!!!

Hmm... that sounds like a reasonable guess. Looking at the Gnawhole rules, they sound very close to what the new rules could be. And GW has a habit of recycling rules. So I'm going to take a guess at:

*Setup 3 woods before deploying units. There are restrictions on where they can be placed.

*You can't summon more woods.  Say goodbye to the Acorn of the ages. Say goodbye to wyldwood deepstrike.

*You can teleport any Sylvaneth within 6" of a wood to another wood.

*Enemy units treat the woods as one of the "bad" scenery effects from the core rules, Sylvaneth treat the woods as one of the "good" scenery  effects.

    *No longer blocks LOS.

I see that you can summon woods, but instead of the forest just a tree

I'm impressed with the direction they seem to be going with the Arch-Revenant - I've been crying out for a low-mid points cost combat hero that's not Durthu for ages, for those of us who don't enjoy going the multiple-tarpit Dryad/Wych/Wood/Ancient route and want  be a little more aggressive with the Sylvaneth. Hopefully the basic revenants themselves will get some kind of tweak to make them a decent option, even if its something as simple as 2 wounds.

The fact that the Arch-Revenants attacks and rules seem to be a perfect fit for my own Man-Stag conversion is just the cherry on the wooden cake.

And regarding Wyldwoods, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the old model replaced with a single big tree, in the style of the Feculent Gnarlmaw or Herdstone. Easier to transport, easier to physically play around, and of course easier for GW to make money on (which we cant really begrudge them for, as they are at the end of the day, a business.) - and for everyone who already has a bunch of the old woods (which lets face it, aren't great models), just think about the awesome forest themed gaming tables you can do for narrative games (yes they exist still) as well as for interesting and different looking matched play games.

Old and replaced doesn't mean obsolete and useless.

Ylthari guardians has 1 wound so don't expect 2 wounds for revenants. I thing exactly the same as u, I dont like dryads and I would love an aggressive army with revenants and kurnoths. I feel the hero aura of reroll hits of 1 for kurnoth would be great for revenants cause if they gain the Ylthari guardians abilities they will go re-roll wound of 1 and with 3+ fight first.

For now I see kurnoth going sooo damn good. re-roll all saves if dont move, the mortal wound mechanic, 5 wounds more for almost same price as 10 revenants, more damage and now reroll hits of 1 with arch revenant...

For sylvaneth wyldwood I expect a pack of 3 trees that work on area

  10. I bet winged guy has a command like the king for Idoneth, giving 1 more attack or something similar to tree revs.

Hope they give us new battletome + endless and something cool for the wyldwood

  11. So it's likely shadow aelfs come first.... with slanesh release we will see what previews make on community articles this weak. OR maybe we have to wait till the 11's May for the previews.

Shadow Aelves could be something like the incarne of 40k, horns, swords and mists

  12. Is there any clue of what will come first between Dark Aelves or Battletome Free Aelfs???

May Whit Dwarf has an article of Ulgu, the shadow realm, that is supposed to be were Malerion is with his aelves. Maybe is a clue.

On the other hand we have the change that joined all the old factions on the games workshop web before gloomspite.

What I think is that new aelfs will come later this year or maybe next year, but the new battletomes will come sooner (ironjawz, tzeentch, dispossessed, free peoples, seraphon, StD, Oggors and of course aelfs!)

  13. Maybe is nothing but slanesh goes out and white dwarf has an article of the realm of shadows.... know what I mean?

And junes WD will be released later... they say a bigger gap between may and june so.... theres something big coming??
