    PACK >> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f0OkcrnNtnFVnZadmZEulj4dEk_uH6GG/view?usp=sharing

The town of Mierce was not in its first incarnation. The land upon which the town stands had long given rise and fall to many civilisations. The edges of the land lay ruins and dark foreboding forests filled with terrors the realms have long since forgotten. Far more unusual however, in its land host multiple realmgates.

The events of the Necroquake have set upon a series of unfortunate event, for a mortal who called himself Shirek have stumbled upon a vault. Typical of ignorant mortals, they could not help but to retrieve an item which have alerted various forces of the presence of a very powerful artefact which now is in his possession.

In this campaign forces gather to claim the prize for themselves, guided by their gods and greed. Opportunistic mercenaries made themselves for hire, questionable allegiance but nevertheless useful.

It falls upon heroes to reinforce the defence of Mierce to prevent such power to fall into the wrong hands. Will you claim the prize for your God, or defend the town from Mierce against the tides of despair?

    EVENT SETUP

The day event will set out as following:
2 factions: the invaders and the defenders
Each faction will have a COMMANDER
COMMANDERS will organise offence and defence for each faction (methodology will be included in a later edition of this pack)
Battlefield split up into four ‘Areas of Conflict’
    The Town of Mierce
    The Dark Forest
    The Haunted Graveyard
    The Hinterlands of Mierce

    PROGRESSION
The day will consist of FOUR rounds. Each round the COMMANDER and their faction will receive the Scenarios for each ‘Area of Conflict’ and decide which of their forces to deploy to each zone. Each round will present a NEW scenario of each Area of Conflict.
    Choose carefully!

    FORMAT

You are a warband that has been drawn to the seemingly quiet peaceful town called Mierce.

We will be using the GHB 2019 matched play rules and battle profiles for this event. Malign Sorcery, Forbidden Powers, Firestorm Campaign will all be allowed for narrative reasons. Imaginary armies like Chaos Dwarves, Bretonnia and whatnot will be permitted.

You will need a 500 and 1000 points army. Your general has to remain the same, and no unique named characters. Your 1000 points list must include your 500 points units (but these can be upgraded).

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Your painted 1,000 point army (3 colour minimum)
    Your printed list
    This printed pack
    A backstory for your army
Dice, tape measure and 6 objective markers
Good sense of humour and some imagination

Sigmar basically went “fine be that way” and then booted him out of the pantheon. Creating Grand Alliance Death in the process.

If "fine by that" meant, storming through Shyish, abandoning the war in rage to hunt down Nagash, accidentally freeing the Carrion King hence unleashing the Flesh Eater Courts ... yeap :D

Dispel the idea of "casual and tournament" lists from your mind. Because whilst he latter has some meaning the former has no meaning what so ever that is universal to all players. There is simply a sliding scale of skill and your friend is simply higher up the scale than you by a noticeable margin. This means that trying to ask him to "play casual" can actually be hard for him to work out because you're sort of saying "hey build and play a bad army that you'd never actually build nor play." Which is why they still end up being good lists.
There's also likely a difference in both of your play styles; if he's building lists better and is studying other players then chances are he's also playing better - making smarter choices so that even with a weaker army he'd still likely have an advantage.

have to completely disagree here, sorry :D

Would preface this by saying that I'm an averagely (closer to bad) player. There's some of us who prefer to run lists we like, rather than optimum lists. I run Eidolon of the Sea, because it's cool. What constitutes as fun is different for each hobbyist.

I could run a netlist and do decently, but in the end of the day I won't have any fun with it. I rather run my list and play a more casual game.

  6. just popping in to say I really hate this idea on different levels. 40K is a good precedence where I don't really enjoy the game as there's really just 7 "real" factions in the game (Imperium, Chaos, Tao, Necrons, Orks, Tyranids, Eldar).

suddenly to play the game, for example you'll need a Guard book, a Blood Angels book, a Knights book, a custodes book depending on meta?

it's not entirely translatable but the general idea is that it's impossible to balance for a single sub-faction (say Stormcast).

Blood Angels have been consistently nerfed because one stratagem and one model is considered broken in Mixed Soup. I like the diversity of AOS, where every army has something different. I think allies is a good compromise, small enough it allows for special flavour without taking away the key piece of the main army. I wish 40K would do it the AOS way.

I’d rather it be a scenery that is like Herdstone

I think most BOC players will tell you that the Herdstone is probably one of the more dysfunctional scenery pieces out there. You still need to be around it to sacrifice your ungors, the buff itself runs contrary to an army that just wants to get up the field and smash face.

First a 4+ save ignoring rend, then a 4+ on each mortal wound allocated to him, and THEN deathless minions from GHoN or Deathless spirits from Nighthaunts giving him another roll after that to ignore on a 6+, because as far as i know they would stack.

Damage Saves (FNP) do stack, which is why Ossefic Diadem is so good in a skeleton army.

However, you can't use 4+ ignore mortal wound to ignore regular wound.

    Hello folks.

I found an issue playing Idoneth Deepkin with allied units. In the High Tide, when I've made all the attacks with my Idoneth units during my turn, then, can I attack with one of my allied units before the enemy? Acording to the rules, it seems like I can when it's my turn.

Don't know if the question has already been asked there, apologies if it's the case.

No. allegiance abilities do not affect allies. Tides of Death in this case.

    However, there are two exceptions.

    1. When you take a non-named hero as general in Ionrach. They are locked into an allegiance ability that grants allies the "tides of death" ability.

    2. When you take the "alliance of wood and sea" battalion.

    Hope this answers your question.

This is an armylist of a player who makes the first place in a local tournament,  his tactic was that he buff his terrorgheist and killed everything whit it.

he's 10 points over the limit .. so he is fielding an illegal army??

Q: With Curse of Years, are rolls that may negate the mortal wounds inflicted by the spell taken immediately after the wounds are caused, but before you roll the dice again to see if any more mortal wounds are suffered by the target unit? If yes, do I get to roll for additional mortal wounds for wounds that were negated? A: Yes to the first question, and no to the second question.

    Hi and hello!

The allegiance abilitie Wave of terror where you can fight on a 10+ charge, does your opponent get to fight back like in the normal combatface?

    If my interpretation is correct...

No. This happens in the charge phase. In the fight phase, you pick a unit first.

  14. been looking at Death list for a bit but the biggest issue for me about Sprit Hosts is that they're not battleline. It's been mentioned that they're the most points efficient unit for Death so you can't go wrong there.

Though having other battlelines that can do screening , or w/ mobility (in terms of wolves), I wonder often to myself where Spirit Host fits in the greater scheme of things. Mortal wounds is nice, though my mages can certainly throw out a few. Would I rather have big hitting rend units like Morghast?
