Aesir22 Posted May 7, 2017 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Hi everyone. New AoS player here! Ive played an open game last week and have a few more planned, and a beginners tourney coming up. But its 1000 points, and i am struggling to know what i should field. I have at my disposal high warden on griffin x2 sorceress (dark) x1 archmahe x1 spireguard x20 sword masters x20 gladeguard x16 repeater bolt thrower x2 prince tyrion x1 ellyrian reavers x10 gryph hounds x6 i was thinking because i won't have the numbers i would go for a heavy shooting force: high warden sorceress archmage spireguard x10 reavers x10 sword masters x10 i dont have much experience so don't know much about tactics. 2000 points would have made this sooooo much easier haha. Dracothjay Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 A unit of 10 readers will pump out 30 shots. That WILL force your opponent to make save rolls, and there will be fails. Look after this unit and stay at 16"!! swordmasters, take 10. Ther s no benefit to taking more than 10 as they get 2 attacks each and are expensive. Take at least 20 spireguard, they will die in droves, but it's their job to do so. Have you considered the spireguard formation? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
