APH
Alternatively, if you do paint a test model, make it a minor Hero. It's a standalone model anyway, and it won't look terribly out of place if it's of a higher quality than the rank-and-file grunts.

I've just bought a load of trolls. Also got a dragon and a cockatrice in their boxes, waiting for some glue. I'm surprised that so many people prefer building rather than painting. I thought I was the odd one. I can't get enough of putting kits together. Struggle to even be bothered to fit a pot with water sometimes, at the thought of painting. Hopefully it'll all change when the Blood Shed is finally complete. Gonna get them all laid out and crank up the airbrush.
Soulsmith
I find a useful way to kick yourself back into painting is don't start with rank and file. I still have nurgle to do but the warrior models are not fun to paint at all, as nice as they look. So im working on my forgeworld orc bosses, ready for an ironjaw/orc force.
