So some elements of the event may change slightly to fall in line with their event. This event is going to use the Matched Play rules from the General’s Handbook as a warm up for the Facehammer GT and progression for those who took part in the Season of War in-store Campaign. A lot of the Event details are TBC as we’ll wait for the Facehammer GT Rulespack to come out first. It’s going to be a series of 3 Pitched battle over the course of 1 day. The games will ‘Battlehost’ – 2000pts and 2.5hrs long. We will be playing Registration from 09:15-09:45 Pre-Event Brief 09:45-10:00 Round 1 starts 10:00 Tickets: £12 (lunch not provided) Number available: 32 players Buy your tickets from: ELEMENT GAMES WEBSTORE VENUE The event will be played at the recently refurbished Element Games' North West Gaming Centre: Address: 1st Floor Hallam Business Centre Hallam Street Stockport SK2 6PT EVENT FORMAT We will be playing 3 rounds during the day. First round will be random pairings with Round 2 and 3 being Swiss. The event will be playing at the Battlehost level for 2.5 hour long games ARMY SELECTION To be fully confirmed but most likely 2000pt Battlehost restrictions as dictated by the General’s Handbook CLOSED LISTS All lists for the weekend will be closed. The lists will be checked for legality by the organisers on the day WINNING YOUR GAMES To be confirmed, but using the battleplans from the Matched play section of General’s Handbook SPORTSMANSHIP Every player will receive X(TBC) Tournament points for Sportsmanship at the beginning of the event. These events are meant to be fun and we hope you all treat them as such! At the end of a game if you feel your opponent has been particularly unsporting you can approach a Ref or Organiser and explain what has occurred. You may report the game as an 'Unsporting game'. A player will lose (half of X TBC) Tournament points if the receive 2 reports and lose all Sportsmanship points if they receive 3 reports. At the end of the Event you'll be asked to vote for your Most Sporting Opponent. PAINTING There is no painting requirement for this event as it’s partly a practice/warm-up event. There is however a Best Army award and at the end of the Event you'll be asked to vote for you favorite (painting/conversions.theme etc). WORKING OUT WHO HAS WON At the end of the three games each player will have a score of up to (TBC) Tournament points from Gaming and Sportsmanship. Highest points ranks highest! TIMINGS Expected finish time - 6.45PM 2 hours 30 mins per round with a 30 minute lunch break and a 15 minute break between rounds 2 and 3. Venue open 0900 Registration from 09:15 Registration closes 09:45 Pre-Event Brief 09:45 Round 1 starts 10:00 Lunch Break: 12:30 Round 2 starts 13:00 Round 3 starts 15:45 Awards: 18:30 Home time: 18:45 PRIZE SUPPORT Dependent on final number but at least £5 per person playing in the event will be awarded as Store Credit at the conclusion we will also award the following awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed Generals Most Sporting Best Army Wooden Spoon Food: Snacks and drinks will be available on site. It is recommended to bring your own lunch but there are local shops and Takeaways within walking/driving distance if you want to buy some. Parking/ travel: FREE PARKING all day outisde in the venues shared/private car par and next door in the 46 space Council run car park. Public transport: Davenport train station is the closest at a 10-15 minute walk but the main Stockport Station is also only 20-25 minute walk (and you'll find more frequent trains). You can get the bus from Stockport Station for less than £2.00 each way. And the Bus stops at the end of our road - opposite Premier Inn and is a 2 minute walk. YOUR TICKET & REFUNDS This purchase is for a virtual ticket and no physical product will be sent out to you. If you discover you can't attend the event we can process a refund for you up to 14 days prior to the event running. Please email support@elementgames.co.uk. If after this date you find you can't attend we won't be able to process a refund for you as food, venue space and prizes will have been bought and paid for.
