Madmojo15
Something that's come up in my group is the debate about taking respites. The rules quote that you "can" take a respite if there are no enemies on the board. The rules for taking two in a row state that "when another one would occur" an unexpected event happens. Does this mean that if there are no enemies on the board for two adversary phases in a row and you took a respite last turn that an event happens no matter what? Can you choose to not take a respite and just keep pushing on?
Megagribix
There's a Silver Tower FAQ in the works and this is one that will definitely be cleared up in that. For now I'd say interpret it the best you can and house rule it for it to make sense. But for now there was quite a discussion on boardgamegeek: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1582439/respite-question-optional-or-not This was the house ruling from that I liked best: Adversary Phase 1) Monsters on the board? YES => activate monsters => end phase NO => see point 2 2) Last round was a respite? YES => roll for unexpected event => end phase NO => see point 3 3) Want to take a respite? YES => respawn heroes & pets, reset skills etc. => roll for ambush => see point 4 NO => end phase 4) Ambush happens? YES => roll for encounters => end phase NO => heal or search => end phase
