Nico
Zoom like a Megatrakk Scrapjet down to the South London Legion this Wednesday for AoS, Nightvault, 40K, Kill Team, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, Middle Earth and Malifaux! You can now find us here: Lansdowne Hotel Carolyn House Lansdowne Road Croydon, CR0 2AD @sthlondonlegion https://m.facebook.com/sthlondonlegion/ The new venue is between East Croydon and West Croydon Stations. It’s only 5 minutes from our previous home. It has a bar...? This week! Still #SoHotRightNow Ben Savva @Age of The Erstwood Orks iz ‘ere AoS GT Finals aftermath 40K - what the FAQ? #Nightvault kicks off 40K/Killteam Sector Campaign going strong More armies starting Adding more scenery! Necromunda There will be the usual mixture of 2,000 point games going on. If you have a smaller force, then someone should be happy to give you an introductory or demo game as well. Last week: Underworlds (Nightvault) kicked off in style; Lots of 40K and Kill Team: We’re were very pleased to congratulate Ben Savva - the new AoS GT Champion! #PrideOfTheLegion #OnlyTheFilthful. He defeated Russ Veal, Tony Moore and Gary Percival @wanderingrogue to reach the top spot! Rob, Simon Fro, Hugh and I were there too and did reasonably well between us. My fortunes improved after buying new Eldar dice after my second worse dice ever. Feel pretty certain that Nurgle are firmly down to Tier Two based on how Rob’s list and mine fared (notwithstanding Terry’s spectacular performance). My Mephitic (my GUO) and chums had some memorable games vs Sam Loving, Steve Wren’s majestic Chickens, Dan Ford’s multitudinous Bloodletters, Paul Buckler, Sam and Joel! About to bounce! More wings than an Aviary vs Steve Wren! The week beforehand Ben Savva won Angelcore in style with his Daughters of Khaine! Ralph put the South in South London Legion - at the Sydney GT! @Age of The Erstwood Ben Savva finished painting Leo’s Dreadwood commission and Leo took it for a spin! Lots of Kill Team went down. Simon Fro with his second place at #Blackout. Loads of players down across various systems! Hobby Corner On the hobby front, people are building up new armies esp. Nighthaunt/SCE. Ben Raven has come up with another list with 4 Flappies - shock! Craig nailed the Ad Mech Robots with some sweet conversions. I’m painting terrain for the terrain god, but also painted a first 10 Space Marines #WolfyWolf and some filthy Dark Angels too; I’ve finally started painting my Sylvaneth with a Nurgle twist: 40K Our sector based campaign is going strong. People have written compelling narratives for their forces and customised their forces. 6-8 forces are taking part, with a mixture of full sized, Skirmish and Kill Team games. People met up on Friday at James’s place for even more games! Bloodbowl Rob Bradley managed a commanding victory over Matt’s Chaos Dwarves to take the trophy! Slipshod, the Rat Ogre, wondered why he was being taken to a tour of a smelter. The Skitz Skatz with their trophy. Sponsorship deals are flying in. Bloodbowl is such an amazing game! New players are very welcome! Warhammer Underworlds (Nightvault) Nightvault and magic! Plenty of games on this week after a good start last week: The only way is up for me with my 18 games 14 Losses record. I’m loving the Fyreslayers compared to the Blood Reavers - much more my style. Should be a perfect second game to fit around a main game in an evening. Or you can just play 4 games back to back . Malifaux Another fun game: Necromunda Simon Fro is leading the charge and starting a campaign soon. I’m doing Van Saar! John’s Escher took on Matt’s Orlocks for a second time. Will be going strong this year and the level of support from GW (e.g. Squat Mercenary and Genestealer Cults in White Dwarf). @Thanatos Ares @Leonardas @Bowlzee @Marc Wilson Give me a shout on the forum or post below and I can add you to our AoS WhatsApp chatroom (we broke 170,000 messages recently and counting - I swear fully half of it is John talking about Khorgoraths). The Hobbit Huge amount of excitement over the new boxset! Simon Fro attended ArdaCon for a tournament!
