Does the Command Ability for Nagash apply to a Nagash?

The Command Ability is Supreme Lord of Death.

Supreme Lord of Death - If Nagash uses this ability, then until your next hero phase you can re-roll hit and save rollas of 1 for all friendly DEATH units. In addition, do not take battleshock tests for DEATH units affected by this ability.

The hangup seems to be on the wording on "all friendly DEATH units"

He's a Death unit. there is no hang up... It affects him as well.

For reference this was addressed in “The Rules FAQ v1.4” Page 2

Q: Is a unit within range of itself?
A: Yes

edit: To clarify, your opponent does not have ‘friendly DEATH units’ however, if you were playing a match where there were two players on a side, and your your friendly team member was playing Death they would also benefit.
