Montrach with a Mortis Engine Spirits Conversion Idea

Hey All, 

I picked up the the montarch kit and I noticed that its kinda flimsy. Has any of you tried to do a Montarch x/ abyssal  riding the Mortis Engine's ghosts? Is it possible for a conversion and do you have pics of it?

I think a simpler (cheaper) fix to counterbalance the weight on the front and stop the flimsy feeling would be a pin from underneath the abyssal going down into the base, the best place for this is behind the spirit at the back and through the coil in the tail. You could use a thin black rod or a transparent rod, I've seen people use extra spirits to cover the rods, or I've seen people use scenery such as pillars  / fencing etc to do the same thing. You can also do this at the front to hold the weight there instead.
