The Outcast Stormcast ( A Reading)

This is the first reading by me so enjoy! 

A Stormcast Eternals regiment/ army were patrolling around the city of Hammerhal until they were set to collect "asteroids" in a city ruin but the reason is unknown.

The Stormcasts were led by a high and mighty Lord Castellant Louis , Sword of The Lion and his loyal servant Marantz Hammerhand into a quest only the highest of lords know the reason to.

After a days walk the golden war host stumbles upon a city ruin , assumed it was the ruin the high lords mentioned the host began the search for the asteroids.

Marantz and a handful of Judicators searched the outskirts while Louis searched the ruins themselves.

Marantz caught a glimpse of glowing in a pile of debris and hurriedly went to investigate it. The Judicators covered the bright lord while Maraz smashes the debris.

"Louis! i found an asteroid!" shouted Maraz.  He reveals the asteroid but it was in fact a skaven warp grinder! Maraz stumbles back but was stabbed by the drill , luckily it wasn't mortal he immediately ordered the Judicators to fire in the debris but there was more to come.

A pile of warplock jezails were pointing straight out of the debris as the judicators were preparing to fire but they were too late , the jezails fired and instantly took the souls of the judicators.

Horrified ,Marantz reports back to Louis the threat of the ratmen but Louis front is already plagued by clan rats

"Take some of my Paladins!" Yelled Louis. "Cover my flank!"

Marantz returns to his front with his elite paladins with massive glaives even he is jealous of.

The Skaven return with a warlord with a cruel pick and a trophy of slain generals heads as a banner.

" Kill man-things!" Commanded the warlord.

The gun line of warplocks return but Marantz is ready for the shooting and hid himself and the paladins inside of the city ruins.

The confident warlord storms the ruin with only a couple storm vermin as guards. 

As soon as the storm vermin poured in the mighty glaives of the paladins fell and struck down the heads of the storm vermin , leaving the lone warlord to face certain doom.

The warlord still takes out a single paladin with a swing of his pick and violently finishing off with a bite , as soon as he killed the paladin Marantz knocked the bloodied warlord into a cleared space for a duel.

The warlord strikes first with his pick but bounces off the shield of Marantz , the golden warrior seeing an opportunity strikes at the rat with his warblade and damaged the warlords shoulder causing him to collapse on his knees.

"Last words vermin?" 

The Rat remained silent as Marantz decapitates his head with a swift and deadly strike.

Part Deux! 

After the warlord was slain by Marantz , the paladins and Marantz himself prepared to take incoming fire from warplock jezails.

The first wave of the gun fire wasn't threatening but after the salvo large engine noises were being brought to life.

A squadron of warp lightning cannons have been spotted!

A foolish paladin peeps in the window but the skaven spotted him , preparing to fire at the ruins.

The stormcasts are bracing for the cannons to fire! After the cannons shot the entire ruins fell to the ground.

The remaining warriors fought through the debris and was greeted by some angry spears.

The weak clanrats were quickly countered by the paladins glaives as their leader Marantz springs up and decapitates their clawleader.

After dealing with the clanrats the stormcast now lesser in numbers charge into the cannons and slay the pitiful crew.

Taking control of the cannon , Marantz struggles to operate it as it is in skaven tongue but he aims it at the horde of clanrats at Louis' flank he pressed on the button that looked like the closest thing to a trigger and fired!

The shot successfully hit the horde and left the Liberators of the high Castellant to rally.

Victory was assured but more was to come...

Mighty stormfiends leaped through the ruins and opened intense fire of the ratling cannons into the front line and more with doom flayer gauntlets and drills barged through the liberators.

Louis spotted their leader , it was a taller and slender skaven warlord with a blade glowing of warpstone.

He fought with the liberators against the stormfiends and slayed a few and tried to reach the warlord as soon as he can to lower the morale of the stormfiends.

Louis then met eyes with the warlord but  suspecting something as the warlord does not seem normal , the eyes are as green as warpstone and the blade dripping an unusual liquid.

"Come... try to kill me... if you can." Murmurs the warlord.

"Not much enthusiasm ay? Atleast for a skaven."
