Alfavega
Hello , i´m going to play in june a Tournament in Germany(2000P).I wanna play with my Kharadron Overlords. At the moment i got some problems to play with them.I´m new in the game and dont know 100% how to build a hard list. Here my first 2 Lists. Allegiance: Order Leaders Aether-Khemist (140) Aether-Khemist (140) Units 9 x Endrinriggers (360) - 3 x Skyhooks - 3 x Drill Cannons 9 x Skywardens (300) - 3 x Aethermatic Volley Guns - 3 x Drill Cannons 20 x Arkanaut Company (240) - 6 x Light Skyhooks 20 x Arkanaut Company (240) - 6 x Light Skyhooks 10 x Arkanaut Company (120) - 3 x Aethermatic Volley Guns War Machines Arkanaut Ironclad (440) - Main Gun : Aethermatic Volley Cannon Total: 1980 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400 Leaders: 2/6 Battlelines: 3 (3+) Behemoths: 1/4 Artillery: 0/4 Wounds: 114 My idea for this list is to place 1 Squad of 20 mann Arkanaut at a Obejctive. The other 2 squads plus the rigers and wardens going into the Ironclad and try to deepstrike and destroy important units of my opponent. The 2 khemíst try to buff my wardens to get more output. Sorry for my bad english Best regards Martin
Murphy
The list looks pretty solid, Zilfin Clown Cars are a good build for KO. The Ironclad can only fit 25 KO models not including the Balloon boys so unless you made a mistake with the Arkanaut unit sizes you cannot fit the other 2 units in, a 10 and a 20 man squad. If you are taking ranged weapons on the endrinriggers you are losing out on the awesome Saw which is the main appeal of taking them as a unit all with saws can be buffed by a Khemist and put out serious amounts of pain. Take Skywardens for guns as they are the exact same guns but on a cheaper carrier.

Sorry for my bad english Best regards Martin To add on to what @Murphy said, you should take 3 Grapnel Launchers on the Endrinriggers. This gives them an amazing extra 24" movement, because having 3 all but assures the ability goes off on a 4+. So if you consider the 3" disembark move, 12" normal move, 24" Grapnel move, 12" charge that's an amazing 51 inches of potential movement! They get you from one side of the board to the other, Grapnel Launchers win me games.
Alfavega
Thank you very much for your help, what do you mean with clown car? I change the Arkanatu Company squad to 2*10 and one squad with 30.The 30 man squad can hold objectives and shoot from the back. Do you think i have to use more Wardens?I saw that the most of people dont play the Arkanaut Firgate right? Allegiance: Kharadron Overlords Leaders Aether-Khemist (140) Aether-Khemist (140) Units 10 x Arkanaut Company (120) - 3 x Aethermatic Volley Guns 10 x Arkanaut Company (120) - 3 x Light Skyhooks 30 x Arkanaut Company (360) - 9 x Light Skyhooks 9 x Endrinriggers (360) - 3 x Grapnel Launchers 9 x Skywardens (300) - 3 x Skyhooks - 3 x Drill Cannons War Machines Arkanaut Ironclad (440) - Main Gun : Aethermatic Volley Cannon Total: 1980 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400 Leaders: 2/6 Battlelines: 3 (3+) Behemoths: 1/4 Artillery:
Murphy
Clown Car is a tactic of putting all your best units in one Skyvessel and dropping it out of the sky. The Frigate can make a good Clown Car if you plan on taking minimum arkanauts and as many skywardens and endrinriggers as you can since they don't take up space on the Skyvessel, you could have a Frigate drop in with as many Endrinriggers and Skywardens as points allow basically. The Ironclad is better in that it can carry more Arkanauts and is actually pretty good after the drop whereas a Frigate wont do much itself with only 1 Shot a turn worth mentionin and that'll miss half the time with 4+ to hit. That new list looks a lot better, a Khemist buffing the 9 Light Skyhooks in that big unit is pretty scary especially with the Arkanauts +1 to hit monsters or heroes. The Skywardens and Endrinrigger are much better geared, using a Khemist to buff the Saws on the Endrinriggers gives you 12 attacks with 3+/2+/-2/d3 as a profile which is pretty brutal. And as said before with the 3 Grapnels you have an 87% of rolling a 4+ and suddenly that unit is half the table away.
Zetsu20
first ..you must choose your sky port to gain an ability to your army. play 2 khemist i use Urbaz skyport for khemist 4 buff. the ship i think we only use it for embark for deployment tactic so i suggest frigate to save a unit point. and from my play test so many many times. i think KO better keep distance and shoot than enter the combat. Murphy
My Own list at the minute is in flux between taking Allies and not taking Allies.
