Honestly better thought out than mine. My only question is if monstrous vigour is even required on a GKoTG, its not like we care about the gooses degrading profile.

The degrading profile is always better to not have to deal with it, it means better movement, more attacks and a better scream. It makes them a bit more reliable I think.

  2. What do you think about this list then.

    Allegiance: Flesh Eater Courts
    - Grand Court: Court of Delusion - The Feast Day
    - Grand Strategy:
    - Triumphs:

    Leaders
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist (445) in Warlord
    - Lore of Madness: Monstrous Vigour
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist (445) in Warlord
    - Artefact: Amulet of Destiny (Universal Artefact)
    - Mount Trait: Gruesome Bite
    - Universal Spell Lore: Flaming Weapon
    Abhorrant Archregent (245) in Warlord
    - Artefact: The Dermal Robe
    - Lore of Madness: Deranged Transformation
Crypt Infernal Courtier (130) in Warlord
    - General
    - Command Trait: Dark Acolyte - Spectral Host

    Battleline
6 x Crypt Flayers (360) in in Hunters of the Heartlands
    - Reinforced x 1
3 x Crypt Flayers (180) in Hunters of the Heartlands
10 x Crypt Ghouls (95) in Hunters of the Heartlands
    10 x Crypt Ghouls (95) in Warlord

    Core Battalions
    Hunters of the Heartlands
    Warlord

    Total: 1995 / 2000
    Reinforced Units: 1 / 4
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 97

    The reasoning behind the list:

Double GKoTG, one with a 5+ Ward, the other one can cast the 5+ ward on himself if needed. Both will summon 3 more flayers. The Regent will summon a Varghulf.

The 2 units of ghouls are there to screen or sit on backfield objectives. The 6 pack flayers can be buffed and send off to do flayer things.

The Ghoul Kings hopefully will able to put out the damage will being able to be a bit tanky as well.

    Thoughts?

Well, that’s not the GDubs-Way anymore (sadly)... they threw out the Bonereapers as a very strong Death faction

I have strongly considered Bonereapers as a faction but ultimately found their core playstyle quite dull, to defensive and focused on grinding out games instead of taking the game to your opponent and really winning the game. Guess I will be deciding between Ironjaws and FEC for my future army then.

If you’re planning friendly games, no problem.

Otherwise the mortarchs are too squishy and too expensive (except for Arkham, maybe). You could think about a Start Collecting FEC Box for 3 vargheists and a vamplord on dragon, if you’re really crafty magnetizable into a terrorgheist...
the book is old and it starts to show, no, it just is old, but the variety and options it brings are superb for friendly casual games.

I field double terrorgheist legion of night ambushes or 60 zombies  with roughly 25hp regeneration per turn or super elite double dragon soulblight lists, all with various success but with a lot of fun. LoNagash has one of the most divers unit range, which look and behave differently.
F U Stormy Stormboys, cities of sigboy and chaos ascended, if the Range there is useful don‘t know don‘t care, hail Nagash!!!

I was kind of expecting that answer. Its sad that they have ignored LoN for as long as they have as I do believe that they would sell lots more models if the rules / model range would get updated.

  5. Hi guys,

I am considering getting a Legion of Nagash army as my first AoS army to get back into the hobby after a few years of a hiatus. Is it still worth getting into LoN at the moment due to the battletome being so old? I was thinking of getting an army to the vein of this:

    Allegiance: Legion of Sacrament
    LEADERS
    Neferata Mortarch of Blood (340)
Arkhan the Black Mortarch of Sacrament (360)
    Necromancer (130)
    UNITS
    40 x Skeleton Warriors (280)
    - Ancient Blades
    5 x Dire Wolves (70)
    5 x Dire Wolves (70)
    30 x Grimghast Reapers (420)
    10 x Hexwraiths (260)
ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN / COMMAND POINTS
    Extra Command Point (50)

The idea is to have 3 good units that I can revive with the skellis, the reapers and the wraiths. The Mortarchs and necro are there to provide magical support. I could perhaps drop Neferata for Manfred. This army is a good base because I can get the most out of two Skeleton Horde start collecting boxes and I love the look of the Mortarchs.

    What do you guys think?

  6. Hi guys,

I am a returning player and am picking up some DoK from a buddy of mine in a few weeks.

My initial haul consists of the contents of the previous battleforce box (with the Cauldron magnetized to be able to run all options) and Morathi. I wanted to have some input for what my next purchases should be - getting a ****** ton of sisters and witches is probably the obvious answer.

Our local tournament games are sized between 1000 and 1250  points. What would I need to get to expand my collection to run an effective 1250 list and how could I grow that into a 2000 point list?

Is trying to build a non Hagg Nar list not advised? I do not need to have the most competitive army however I do would like to be able to compete.

Is a hybrid snakes / witches army currently viable? If so what would I need to buy in order to build such a list?

  7. A few months back I sold off my Stormscasts and jumped back into chaos (40k). As a result I now have quite a few models which I can use for AoS and 40k. Can I make an army from the following models:

    Lord of Change

    Herald of Tzeentch

    2 Daemon Princes

    The Changeling

    40 Pink horrors

30 Gors (counts as tzaangors in 40k but since they are actual brayherds, id probably have to run them as such in AoS.

What should I be looking to add to build an army?

I thought something along the lines of:

    Lord of Change- 380

    The changeling - 200

    Daemon prince - 160

    3x 10 pink horrors 600

    30 Gor allies 210

This is 1550 points. What should I add for the final 450? It doesnt have to be extremely competitive.

I personally don't like it. At a 1k points a Stardrake feels like an all your eggs in one basket kinda thing which can really hurt you depending on the scenarios you'll be playing. It's a cool model but running him in anything less than a 2k point game is neither a wise nor fun decision in my opinion anyway. I'd rather (especially in this meta) drop him for a wizard of some type and buff up your liberators by combining them into a 10 man unit then taking either more shield guys or some Judicators preferably to threaten your opponents with.

What type of wizard would be ideal?

    Would this be better?

    Lord Arcanum - 180

    Lord Celestant - 100

    10 Liberators - 2 Grandhammers - 200

    5 Judicators - 160

    3 Vanguard  Raptors  w/ Hurricane Crossbows - 140

    3 Paladors - 200

Is such a list better? The lord Arcanum seems quite expensive, I am afraid that running 2 heroes is not enough as well. It does have a solid block of infantry with ranged back up and a mobile element.

  9. Thursday my local store is holding a small 1000 point tournament. I just aquired a Stardrake and thought about bringing this list:

+++ 1000 punten madness (Age of Sigmar) +++

    ++ **Pitched Battle** 1,000 (Order - Stormcast Eternals) ++

    + Leader +

Lord-Celestant on Stardrake: 2. Keen-clawed, 4. Mirrorshield, 5. Staunch Defender, Celestine Hammer, General

    Lord-Relictor

    + Battleline +

Liberators: 5 Liberators, Grandhammer, Warhammer and Shield

Liberators: 5 Liberators, Grandhammer, Warhammer and Shield

    + Allegiance +

    Allegiance: Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals

    + Game Options +

Game Type: 1000 Points - Vanguard

++ **Pitched Battle** (Order - Eldritch Council) ++

    + Leader +

    Loremaster

    ++ Total: [1000pts] ++

    Created with BattleScribe

Would this work? Basically i need my LCoSD to go to town with reroll to hit and healing up each turn.

  10. During the end of last year I picked up a number of Vanguard units.

Is a vanguard themed army playable for regular games. I thought about adding a few ballistas and castigators to complement my raptors.

Is it me or are vanguard hunters for 120 points still ******? It's sad that those are the only battleline units I currently have.
