    Tbh Blood Sisters would work better than BloodStalkers, but we have a good skaven player in our area and I like to keep the stalkers in to deal with those dicks with moremorewarp power

    Sorry for my ignorance, but how come you get to pick 2 prayers with the priests?E

    EDIT: Nevermind it was the enchancement. I need to read more carefully.

  2. Reinforced Battle Shields (6+) Pick friendly OB unit armed with Nadirite battle shields wholly within 24” and visible. Negate wounds and mortal wounds on 5+.

     Which units have those battleshields?  Is it only Immortis Guard?

    The main question is some brainstorming about a competitive, lovecrafthian, "Ulgu themed" 2k list :

    Realm: Ulgu

    1x Akhelian King (General; trait: emissary of the deep places; weapon: spear; artefact: doppelganger cloak) (240)

    Endless Spells:
    1x Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (40)

    For now, I have not yet tested the list with my friends, but the idea is to prepare it for a future event. It deploys a few units, but has several answers: 4 support heroes, 2 spells/unbinds (with +1), 1 deepstrike, 5 tanky units, high speed and a very good combat phase.
    At first glance I think the possible problem is the horde lists, like daughters, plaguetouched and nighthaunt. I'm curious to listen to your reflections about.

    p.s.: "Lovecrafthian", because I imagined a cult allocated in the sea of Ulgu, where a degenerate and ambitious race, like the Idoneth, venerates one of the forgotten Godbeasts (maybe "Dagon"?). The sequitors are not other than human zealots of this cult.

    Do you have a battalion for the second artifact? Your points calculated from the list are 1860 so I guess so.

    Is it legal to ally a Khorne Demon Prince? I thought the only legal ally was Slaves to Darkness or something.

  6. Played my first game with 1250 points couple of days ago.

    Worked really well against flesh eater courts.  I suppose adding Soulscryer would make the list even more viable. I have 20 Thralls, Aspect of the Sea, 10 Reavers and a Leviadon aswell so i can easily modify the armies. I really liked how fast and hard-hitting the eels are, and also very durable.

    If I apply this command ability with a unit of Akhelian Morrsarr Guard...the Fangmora Eels mount have +1 Attack for the 2 melee weapons of his warscroll (Fanged Maws and Lashing Tails)?.
     
    The only reference on Core Rules are about Hero mount, not cavalry not command abilities:

    - "Command traits have no effect on attacks made by a general’s mount unless noted otherwise". (page 17)

    - "Artefacts of power have no effect on attacks made by a hero’s mount unless noted otherwise". (page 17)

    The Mounts get the additional attacks aswell. And if you wanna visit cheeseworld, i think you can save your command points for the turn 3 high tide and use the ability for example 3 times. 3 additional attacks for 3 units with all their melee weapons!

    I have a question aswell. Does the Fuethan enclave let you reroll the 1's to wound for Leviadon and Allopex mounts aswell? It would make sense (they are Akhelian mounts)?

     

  8. Just to make sure, if i bring to Ishrann Soulrenders to the battlefield, will they both be able to use the lurelight skill in matched play? I reckon they do, but want to make sure. Time to bring some Death level resurrection :D

    Yeah all in all its not a major loss, just sad that it forces us to play really offensively.  For some games i would have wanted to experiment with ishlaen + reavers for example. Both are kinda gutted now.

    Also, what is this ****** with the updated battalions? I just bought the battletome, so now i have to pay for them again? 

  10. Having just invested in a Leviadon, 12 eels, 2 Eidolons and all the 4 supports + Akhelian King/Volturnos i kinda hope the warscrolls in the app are mistaken. 

    Even though the new Tidecaster is sweet, i think the hit to Ishlaen Guard and Reavers are too much. Forces me out of a defensive playstyle... well see.

    Gave these guys a try in a couple of quick 680 point games against a Daughters of khaine force. Learnt some stuff lessons about splitting up my forces in the first game and had a mega-buffed unit of blood sisters make a mess of my units one by one, but in the second game I was a bit more cautious with timing my charges, and did better. 

    The Allopex is disappointing (looking through the last thread I’m sure no one will be shocked by that) but the eels are all round great.

     

    currently painting a tidecaster, then after that I think an eidolon (and more eels) is called for.
