I'd love to see some top notch painter do the Iron Golems with kind of polychromatic, iridescent, armour that subtly shifts as light falls in different ways on it. Really play up the mutative, transformational nature of the realm of metal.
maybe with different thinned down contrast paints blending into each other over a silver/steel base coat, so no one colour is overwhelming but you get subtle shifts right across the spectrum.
I'd try myself but well...
Fortunately there's an easier solution. You might want to check Chameleon paints by Green Stuff World. Amazing effect!

Unless you begin buying a new army before you finish painting the previous one. Oh well... 😕

Just a sad Panda that the whole Darkoath/Slaves to Darkness/Everchosen hype has died out.
Let's wait and enjoy whatever comes in the meantime!
PS. Any rumors highly appreciated ?

So rampant speculation, but what are the chances the remaining chaos stuff is getting the same treatment; darkoath = everchosen, slaves of darkness, and daemons of chaos?
With no new models GW could drop a darkoath tome tomorrow and not hurt the beasts release in my opinion; all that range needs really is better interactions/synergies, and anyone that wants them, either already has them or will get them regardless, right?
While I agree that it's entirely possible to give this treatment to all mini factions, I also believe that character which is so unique and iconic to Warhammer universe as Chaos Warrior should get a proper treatment. New chaos warriors, new champions/heroes, new marauders - probably tilted towards Norsca (tribal/viking/wild/mutated) would go a long way to bring back the glory of Chaos Undivided. Of course the 4 (or 5) Chaos gods are interesting, but they're also very narrow in their distinct esthetics. It's cool but you need to be a fan to fully appreciate each lore, while Chaos Undivided has this raw appeal that is currently lacking in Age of Sigmar.

If Ogroid Thaumaturge is in then I'm diving head first as well. That's the one model I always wanted to paint but wasn't interested in Tzeentch (daemons) esthetic.

So Swords are out of question in 2.0 I guess, since most of people tend to use Scythes and Bows. Anyone see a point in taking Swords instead?
-
So Darkoath are beastmen and not barbarians/Chaos Undivided afterall? What about Malign Portents model then?
Or is there separate Darkoath faction coming, apart from now speculated Brayherd update? ?

Has anyone tried Varanguard with StD following their point drop?

And Darkoath is up there as well to complement the Moonclan/Malign Portents release.

GW vs Blizzard might not seem like AOS rumour but I wanted to add to that. Wish, rather than rumour but I'd love to finally see some AOS games (console/PC/board). Blizzard would be perfect for that since they really nail the fantasy games they produce (Warcraft/Diablo series), and just imagine if World of Warcraft would be set in Mortal Realms...
Apart from that my ongoing dream is to have the 3rd Total War set in Age of Sigmar setting

I can see Chaos War Mammoth becoming the center piece model/behemoth for upcoming Darkoath faction... Here's hoping! ?
-
Would you say it's worth investing in Slaves army right now, or is it better to hold until Darkoath comes? I love the Undivided/Chaos Warriors theme and will definitely go all in on Darkoath. Just wondering if they would be compatible with the StD.

No Hallowed Knights and my personal favourite Radiant Suns of Sigmar though?

Any thoughts on optimal weapon load out for different number of Kurnoth Hunters in 2.0? I'm thinking that Bows would stay as my top pick for 1st unit for that range threat. Scythes as 2nd and what goes after that?

and flying sharks are truly something that hasn't been done too many times in miniature games.
Sharknado ripoff though

I may be reading this wrong but that letter looks like someone trying to hide something and blaming it on Troggoths. Not that Troggoths couldn't be a part of that army but that letter just reads like "Whelp, you guys were right about it being Troggoths so no need to look any further. Nothing to see here!"
It's rather obvious that the 2nd letter have been sent by the Idoneth themselves, after they've slaughtered every single being from that 'filthy village' and don't want to be found.
Poor villagers are now sleeping with the Troggoths

How did you achieve that bright, glassy/glossy silver? Doesn't look like NMM to me.
Edit: Had a closer look... They look as if they're wearing this wet, liquid silver that T-1000 from Terminator was made of. Absolutely amazing effect!

I guess that the fact Slaves to Darkness were not even taken under consideration when this Tier list was created says something about their position, eh?
