  1. Have you tried to make them? Plasticard on top of thin pieces of cork would the raised stone easy to do. There are companies that make leaves of various sizes and colors for 28mm. Everything on there can easily be scratch built. Give it a try. Check out some model railroad scenery sites for materials.

@mDaro That looks really well done!  Is that one of the Irongut's bits for the weapon?   Which kit donated the hooded head bit?

Its basically Bragg the Gutsman with a Mournfang weapon and some bits! Crazy easy conversion.

As Extermina said, kitbash.   Alternatively, if you're playing friendlies, I've found many people are fine with letting the giant ogor club "counts as" the great gutgouger.  Especially if the  other tyrants are all  dual-wield loadout.

This is my tyrant with Gutgouger. Kitbash is the way to go.

Maybe I could use it as another Loonboss with Giant Cave Sqiug - where Grumlok takes the place of the Squig.  I think I have more than one, so I can put one together normally and then do something else with the other one.

OMG HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT!!!! Consider that stolen!

Since I have some 20-30 different Night Goblin hero models from over the years that I really like I am trying to figure out how to use as many of them as possible but still use the new stuff.  I think I am going to be doing more stuff like putting them on many of the big monster/creature models.  For example, adding them onto the bases of some of the models as more of scenic details, standing on the shoulders of Giants or big Trolls to help lead them, or build a howdah onto my colossal squig and put a few of them there - etc.  Some of them also work exceptionally well as unit leaders for the grot units.

Base them like the Scuttletide spell and use them in its place....? Very thematic for a Grot army.

I completely agree with all of this, as for the spell lore there is 4 really good spells (itchy nuisance, the great green spite, the hand of gork and squig lure), 1 alright spell (vindictive glare) and one subpar spell (call of da moon).

If you are full Moonclan you should be casting The Great Green Spite every turn, Troggoths and Squigs should be casting Itchy Nuisance every turn, Pure Squigs should be casting Squig Lure unless they under Da Bad Moon and the Spiderfang spell lore is amazing but i personally dont run them.

Saying that there hasnt been much Spiderfang debate going on for awhile? I think they are one of the strongest builds in this book now, pure Moonclan being second, then Squigs then sadly Troggoths last.

Where did you see the spell lores? Its the only thing I cant find.

The retailer i go with offers about a 22% discount, squig herds at 21.50, hoppers 23.50 and shrine at 27.50. Saving £20 just on them 3 items which is nearly another box of squig herd!

WOW! I have to find a US discounter. Going to keep my Spider converted Moonclan army and build a Squig Gloomspite army from scratch.

I'm so happy to see my precious spiders included into this book! So glad I hold on to them.

Now to finnish off their bases.

Can you post a close up pic of the red please? What's your recipe if you don't mind sharing? That looks like the exact red I've been trying to do for my spiders.

Do you guys prefer bows, stabbas or poking me spears on your grots?

I always do spears for the look. When I need to I call them stabba's and NO ONE has ever said a word. I think the majority of players don't know the difference in wording. Currently building 40 with actual stabba's when I want to do two differant units with each weapon.

Played a game tonight with this list.

    Hammers of sigmar

on board:: lord relictor, lord ordinator, 2x5 liberators, 2x5 judicators w crossbows

off board: celestant on dracoth, neave blacktalon, celestant prime, 5 retributors, 3 raptors w hurricane crossbows

Tabled a chaos army with Archeon & Tzeench allegiance.

    impressions:

    1. much more control of striking from heavens

    2. Crossbows much more dangerous

    3. Bravery makes the army practically fearless

    4. 5+ to bring libs back failed every time (not sure about this yet)

    5. Celestant prime is much bigger threat and more reliable due to changing the charge result

    6. I forgot to roll damage saves for new command trait. Have to relearn how to play this.

    7. Lord ordinator bad for this list and I should replace him

    Questions:

    1. Does the celestant prime get +4 attacks on turn 3, or just 2? Opponent questioned this but it seems the sam as before to me.

    2. Do the raptors get to rapid fire when striking from the heavens? Not sure based on vague FAQ wording.

    3. Can you use more than 1 command point trying to bring a unit of liberators back? Gut says you get one chance when the last one dies then they’re gone forever.

I can't stop thinking the bows with 3/3 and -1 rend outweigh the extra attack......I haven't built my 10 yet. I keep seeing this but isn't that rend more important?

there are generic warscrolls for them as well, so I bet there'll be a headswap or something to build the generic version.

Not to doubt you but have we seen alternate listings for these models? Did I miss something on the GW site? I was hoping this was the case but I still think they should have given us a stand out centerpiece to use. The Prime is a waste.

Also some of their abilities only effect hammers of sigmar units

I don't get this at all. They've just made sure the majprity of us don't buy the featured new characters or get to use them. What gives? I was so excited to get these when I saw the pics. Whats the point now. I can't use their command abilities.
