Thoughts on a concept please
My ogre army is all seraphon themed and I wanted to build my own mawpit
I game up with the following build as a cold one fighting/feeding pit
It’s using warcry terrain which has seraphon elements mixed with being broken. The base is traced from mawpit so it’s the right size
I’ll add ogre details and can move elements as nothing is glued
Please give thoughts and feedback- 1

Any ideas on when the rest of the new stuff and a normal book will be released?
-
Wanting a bit of feedback
My whole army is ogre riding seraphon based
In line with that I thought I’d buy kroxigor as gorgers , then I remembered I love converting and I want 10 gorgers which is expensive…
So below is a first moc of an ogre/kroxigor/maybe
3 options
1. full ogre old one head as helmet add me dead seraphon etc
2. Cold one head as head
3. Saurus headThis is tacked together, lots of work to do but I’m look for thoughts

Pics please.
Green stuff work let to do
gargant is my varghulf, (I’ll prob do 3 and use in gargant army)
the knights are mournfang with cold one riders that have ghoul arms/heads(my ogres are a Dino riders, all ogre riders on aggradon so had spare mounts and have heaps of old cold one riders so it works). I will “dead th up” a bit more and paint will fit my other ghouls to tie in

I was thinking the same thing... then again, I am a madman.
If you going to be a madman your in the right faction….. maybe just try to avoid eating people

I guess it depends on what kind of list you want to play...If you want to go down the Hollowmourne route, you can not have enough Horrors/Flayers, if you lean into more of a Morgaunt/Serf style list less so.
By knights I meant new bat knights not key word knights
I have 12 horrors, (will probably go to 18), 18 flayers and 100 ghouls
im thinking
120 ghouls, 40 beast flayers, 40 guard, 18 horrors, 18 flayers and 6-18 (probably 18) bat knights should allow just about any build
ive kit bashed 6 bat knights and all the new heroes so far
i love the variety of builds this book will allow, means I could play same army a different way multiple weeks at game nights whilst saving a min/max list for tournaments

Important question for my wallet…. 6,9 or 12 knights
i like to play variety for chill hammer so is 12 in a list chill hammer viable or am I wasting $
or maybe 2 units of 9 maybe 🤔
-
So is there a world where a unit of 60 ghouls is now fun (by a unit I meant 2 units). Could be incredibly difficult to move and when someone does bringing 30 back will be epic

After going over the leaks, this is my first draft of a list.
Sub Faction Blisterskin
Abhorrent Ghoul King 450
W/ Shadowy Obfuscation, Grim Garland, Flaming Weapons, charnel conviction, Horribly Resilient
Abhorrent Gorewarden 150
W/ Deranged Transformation, Curse
Abhorant Cardinal 120
W/ Bless this meal
Crypt Infernal Courtier 165
Crypt Infernal Courtier 165
6 Crypt Flayers 320
6 Crypt Flayers 320
3 Crypt Flayers 160
3 Morbheg knights 150
Total: 2,000
The general has the potential to be extremely tanky with a potential 5+ ward healing 2d3, and can't be targeted outside of 12. The Garland helps amp up his shriek. The Gorewarden provides utility, as he can either deep strike a unit of flayers or Morbheg knights, or slingshot himself and another unit across the board. This could be my general as well. Since Blisterskin makes him a priest, curse helps up the mortal wound count. The 6 man flayers will be supported by the Courtiers. Morbheg knights are there because they fit the Flying theme, neutralize an unleash hell, and are new and coming in my pre-order box anyways. Lastly, I had 120 points left, so I threw in a Cardinal. He can start on the throne, generate Noble Deeds, and be airlifted out by the squad of 3 flayers.
I was running Blisterskin before, and had already been working on an anvil of Apotheosis priestess that I can proxy as a Cardinal. The rest I will get from the pre order box, so I will be up and running.
What do you guys think?
Looks interesting
im a flayer fan. I’d be interested to see if 10 ghoul guard can space out to get a terror g within 3”, a 4+ ward early on could be juicy

Keen to see what people think of my Gorewarden, decapitator and knight. Please offer cnc
had a spare archregent and ghoul king so thought its the best way to make use of them
also built a dozen mournfang riders on seraphon aggradon so have heaps of spare mounfang to use as mounts for knights
next will be pope, judge and herald

Random idea time but if anyone is looking to start FEC and not interested in the old ghouls you can just use swords for old and halberds for the guard as there's no difference in weapon profiles.
I wonder If this was intentional for this exact reason?🤔
Still very tempted by the delusion but not ready to jump in just yet as too much other stuff.
I have to admit I’m a little disappointed that the swords and halberds aren’t 2 separate profiles anyway
kinda wouldn’t be surprised if when the normal book drops it gives them as separate profiles

What about the other heroes
the executioner looks as small as a 32 to me
When you say cav for bats do you think 60x35 or 75x42 or 90x52
-
Great to finally get some rules for our new FEC models!
what do people think the base sizes will be of all the new models
we we know the guard are 25mm
what about the rest?
40s, 32s? -

what about the rest? I’m building my own version of all the hero’s and the knights so want to get base sizes right

Your idea is perfect, you have made me so happy I could cry
i I want the mawpit but didn’t know what to do with 5 gorgers I don’t want (I’m using kroxigor as gorgers)

I think they could do different tiers of generic heroes.
Basic hero 50 points
Leader hero 75 points with slightly better statline
General hero 100 points best statline
Could also expand buff range with each of those. Just thinking out loud here.
What about going back to how whfb did thing with different points on artefacts etc
i loved the system where I could ‘build’ my hero
would also mean a greater variety of items get used as points would change what item you could take. Not so many auto choices

So um….. I’m not wowed by the bay cav, super excited to have them in the army but not personally wowed by the models (I know I’m crazy)
I also have 18 mournfang sitting around from an old conversion…
so here’s an early moc of my bay cav idea, I’ll probably wait to use spare weapons from new cryptguard and heads hopefully. I’ll and dead bits like bones from crypt horrors etc
cnc welcome (including mentioning my insanity at not loving the new bats)

What’s the thoughts on the new mawpit
looks like it could be a good option in some builds. Good to force you opponent into you or right away.
