I think the Bull is for Darkoath/ Slaves to Darkness. Fits the muscle/anger/darkness barbarian aesthetic.

hey can Ful-Grimnir be used as a Runefather in the LOTL battalion? (sorry I don't know where else to ask)

Whaaagh activity?
2 "destruction" player armies showcased in 2 days when usually they showcase one every few weeks. Ironjawz discussion on WHTV

Am I the only one who thinks all this Waagh activity at the community site and on Warhammer TV is a definite hint that something big and green is coming to Warhammer Fest next week?

Chariots and female fyreslayers would be awesome. GW lore on female dwarfs always alternated between good (they dont have beards, which was always an annoying trope IMO. Funny when Prachett did it, terrible everywhere else) and bad (only 1 in 10 dwarfs are women; aka this species should have died out literally the first time it fought a war).
We know women take a pretty big role in Fyreslayer culture (the head of the Miners Fellowship in, i.e. one of the most important positions in a society that lives underground, was a woman in one of the short stories, and its not portrayed as abnormal) so having them as warriors would be cool. Plus barbarian dwarf warrior women with golden runes in their skin and gigantic ginger mohawks sounds so deliciously 80s.

Yeah chariots would be amazing - and would fit the slightly Ancient Mesopotamia-inspired aesthetic of the Fyreslayers.

Huh, it seems these weren't future Shadespire warbands, but just some (amazing looking) push to fit kits, neat
"On the release weekend, meanwhile, you’ll be able to grab a range of push fit kits to bolster your forces from Soul Wars. If you’re a fan of the Sacrosanct Chamber, you’ll be able to reinforce your army with some Sequitors and Castigators (not to mention a loyal Gryph-hound!) while Nighthaunt players can add a Deathbeat Drummer to their Glaivewraith Stalkers, or add the shrieking Myrmourn Banshees to their armies – diabolical wizard-hunters with the power to feast on magical energy."
Wow the horse skull ghost with the drum is amazing!

I just realised the UK Games Expo is this weekend. Don't we all think that's when the release date for AOS 2 will be announced? Would make sense, and they've already announced that they will be previewing a lot of new stuff.

Rumors from DakkaDakka say that support actions will be triggering inspiration for Skaven. This sounds possible and quite thematic IMHO (sqar attacks!).
sounds like a good idea! Link to source?

Ok, can we try to guess the Inspire conditions for these warbands?
My cautious bet is:
Chosen Axes:
Inspire when your team captures 2 objectives (Treasure hunters)
Spiteclaw's Swarm:
Inspire when all alive fighters are within 2 hexes of the leader -

" Friday evening sees ‘The Pete and Andy Show’, as it has become known! Pete Foley and Andy Smillie get together to talk about the news and new releases from the studio over the next few months. Previously in this kind of seminar, we saw a preview of Shadespire a good 7 or 8 months prior to release, a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 was revealed and, most recently, at the Nova Open they showed off models and information about next year’s Warhammer Age of Sigmar releases – so this is certainly not one to be missed. "
omg I'm (figuratively) peeing my pants! I hadn't seen this and now it's tonight!

I like them a lot. I think they are great fun and fill me with optimism regarding the future of AOS. I really like the idea of having multiple smaller factions with different aesthetics and play styles derived from the same race. What I wouldn't give to see some of the bigger picture plans regarding the game, it's background and future.
I agree. Especially also the fact that they make up these smaller factions by cranking a few aesthetic and mechanic aspects of an older faction up to 11. As in Fyreslayers: Troll Slayers and runecraft cranked up.
Kharadron Overlords: Gyros, Irondrakes, Cogsmiths cranked up
Ironjawz: Black Orcs -"-Sylvaneth: Dryads/Treemen -"-
I also gives us plenty of inspiration for further speculation! Is any aspect of duardin culture still missing for a possible third faction?

I think it will be interesting to see how they handle it if they take non-compendium and absorb it into a new faction.
I think this is easier if what we see released next is actually Battletome: Duardin. So they have dispossessed, steamhead, fyreslayers and MINERS (bring back miners!) They can all be together, they can be separate.
I hope they only bring back miners if they do a new model for them. Battletome:Duardin would be amazing!

I think it makes sense that they are going to take the best kits and include them in new AoS specific faction releases.
It will be interesting to see how they handle taking from factions with a bit of lore and matched play profiles (as opposed to the releases where they took from legacy factions pre-matched play).
There will certainly be a period of crossover. They might even leave it possible to play scrolls in one of two factions? Disposessed or steamhead, Light Aelves or Order Draconis/, Cthulhu Elfboys or Scourge Privateers etc.
Previously:
The ironjawz release did it for ardboyz (correct me if I'm wrong)
The Bonesplittaz release did it (correct me if I'm wrong)
Beastclaws took from Ogre Kingdoms (correct me if I'm wrong)
I think Black Orcs were a compendium unit before ironjawz (cmiiw)
Bonesplitters were bonesplitters even before the relaunch
I think you are right about Beastclaw (but weren't they compendium before? Dispossessed aren't compendium, that's what I'm getting at) -

Sort of agree, sort of disagree. At the moment I actually feel that the older parts of the dispossessed range is a bit of low point - if the warriors and war machines disappeared and we got in return new high quality models that maintained the quality and aesthetic of the hammerers and irondrakes that would be a huge plus. However at the moment as you say they have not killed off anything to create a new faction so I don't know if I feel it is likely.
On the subject of all these new sources, a bit salty yes but on the other hand if they are coming in about two weeks...
Yeah, if they did fold the Dispossessed into the new faction (however unlikely) in a way that would let me keep everything I have in my current army except for the cannons, that would be okay with me. I would miss the synergies of playing with a Runelord and a Warden King, but I never bought the Warriors or the other older models anyway because of their quality. When it all comes down to it, I guess I'll be happy as long as I can have new models and still somehow play with Irondrakes and Longbeards in some sort of army.

If this is true it's very promising
The reason I hope this is not true (and the reason I find it unlikely), is that that would spell the end of Dispossessed as a faction. Why would they do that? And they haven't done that before, either, have they? Killed off one faction to make a new one? If Irondrakes and Gyrobombercopters switched sides, that would sorta make sense, but hammerers/longbeards? (full disclosure: I am a passionate Dispossessed player). The part about the warmachines being phased out sounds sad but probable - they're not the most high quality plastic kits in the range (just like quarrellers/thunderers/warriors. They need to go as well) I also find the number of people who *suddenly* have sources on this new faction really suspicious. No one really knew anything 6 days ago and everyone was asking for the new duardin back then as well.

It is a bit weird. White dwarf usually covers 4 weeks but the next issue only seems to cover three. It could be that the next week is filler but then why not give warhammer quest its own launch week. It is a big enough product to merit one. I hope we do see the duardin the week after Roboute and co as I have put a hold on future purchases until I can check them out but I think it will probably be the following week.
I hope the new White Dwarf will hold some sort of hint.
