Yeah but IDK was only discovered by others after necroquake, before that they were in extreme isolation, light elves are more likely though.

Nagash hided them, no one knows about bonereapers until now

The society, culture and technology of Kharadon only developed after age of chaos, when some duardins were forced to escape their homeland and to the sky

More like at the beginning of the Age of Chaos. They spent AOC hiding in the toxic clouds of Chamon.

Oh, sorry, they said it was campaign so I assumed it means something for Warcry.

no problem :) I'm just really itching for some new warbands to come out, since I have a pretty solid idea of how to play the first 6 chaos warbands now (and I like learning and painting new stuff :) )

Depends on the gang and the arm.  On the whole you can swap arms around, but some arms don't work with some bodies for some gangs - pouches may get in the way, or the posture looks off.  They sort of fall into a gap between mono-pose and fully interchangeable.

I don’t think the most important thing is how fully interchangeable they are - clippers and greenstuff exists. But that the sprues are designed like Munda sprues could indicate that the games have similar equipment systems rules-wise - and, mechanically, that would be amazing.

Yeah there must be some sort of explanation - it’s Just really weird because surely this is not something that takes up a production slot at the same factory as the minis (and I really hope a few things go up on preorder soon ;) )

Maybe they’re using it to get an extra week to produce something big? The Warhammer combat arena 40k thing?

ah yeah that pretty strange, maybe the week is left out so they can fill all the retail stores out first before the general public can get access to them. I believe a few places are doing demo of contrast first before the preorder even starts.

if they don't reveal anything more today, it probably is and that the Contrast paints are one of those two-week preorders that GW does sometimes on bigger releases

No no look at the dates it’s just a one week preorder and those usually create an empty period between them not before them

I believe that we will be able to choose weapons for the warcry warbands.

    Look at this. AdepticonReveals-Mar27-IronGolem9bgvhfs.

The left iron golem warrior holds a hammer in his right hand, but if you go to the newest trailer at the 15 seconds mark, he holds a chain. The pose is the same but it's still something i guess.

    Very exciting preview overall!

I love you. That’s exactly what I was looking for as evidence: identical poses with different weapons. So long, savings!

Oh I’m with you on that. It’s just a shame the gameplay from necromunda always looked so out of it to me (personal opinion I know) that it wasn’t enough to get me into it.

Hopefully Warcry will be different. Especially if there is (modulair) terrain in the box it will be an auto buy.

Yeah Mundas gameplay is a bit of a mess, or it was in the beginning, but I really love where it’s at at the moment. And oh yes, modular AOS terrain please!

    Haha don’t shoot the messenger!

But how is that different from normal AOS? If I bring two units of reavers they look the roughly the same, if I bring two Stormcast armies based on the push fit soul wars miniatures they are exactly the same.

I don’t think it will have cards but who knows. (Small addition to what you said, it’s 6 chaos plus 8 or nine non chaos warbands.)

I think the difference will be in who you bring and depending on how you can include the beasts what you bring as well

I understand what you mean, but I think my worry has to do with my great love for Necromunda and anything else that crosses the Line between strategy game and pen and paper RPG. Warhammer Underworlds completely turned me off because I felt limited in what kind of story I wanted to tell when I played. Kill Team had juuuust enough customization for it to click with my tastes, AOS skirmish doesn’t have enough depth, Necromunda is perfect, and the regular AOS armies I play (all the duardin) have plenty of options for poses and loadouts. Hardly any monopose there. So I’m just saying: please let this game have some depth that isn’t just walled off in a card system. The best GW to me is the GW where part of making the narrative takes place with a list building sheet, clippers, a bit box and a lot of plastic glue.

My own feeling is that we're going to see something mid-way between Underworlds and Necromunda.  So models will have pre-set configurations rather than almost a free-for-all.  Probably for things like the Ogor you'll only get one or two variants, but the rank and files you may get a larger selection.

Gut feeling is an airbrush/spray gun - quickly get those base colours on.  It could equally be a new line of washes that act as a dip.  Could see both of those as solid extensions to the Citadel Paint System.

I could accept that - customization for “gangers” and preset characters for Champions. Fingers crossed. The models are lovely though.

All the models are single pose would be my guess. The arm to body is usually the bit where it's visible if it's multi pose. Looks to be mono pose. Still very cool though!

I don’t want to complain, but doesn’t that mean we’re all going to have the same six warbands unless there’s a card game component where we Can differentiate?

So, i'm as anybody a little disappointed for fyreslayer and i think the new models for slaanesh looks good. The spells en the KoS are the best imho.

And for Warcry its a good news to see that there will be 9 non chaos faction available. But do they will have new models? Thats another real question.

And on the models for warcry, i want to make a comment over... THE NEW PLASTIC OGOR !!

So ok it is a chaos ogor, but still! Is it a hint to whats next for ogor / gutbusters? Because he looks different. He's more ripped, have less fat and more muscle than the "normal"  ogor who looks more like Homer Simpson than schwarzeneger...

Has anyone been able to figure out If Warcry is multipart multiloadout skirmish models or monopose named characters like Underworlds? As a Necromunda player this is the only thing I need to know to decide whether or not I’m on board - and the Ogor has me worried a bit in this regard.

  13. Do we have any indication of whether the models in Warcry will be monopose. If they're "Necromunda" as in highly customizable multipart kits where you can economize with how you're equipping your warband, then I almost can't breathe for sheer ecitement.

My experience is 9 Riggers was enough to take down the hero and mawkrusher. Was also able to keep the rest of the army at bay with my ranged shooting and boats for cover. It took a few turns but -2 rend from skyhooks and d3 damage was key!

[reason for edit: got spoiler tags added to the images so they didn't clog the loading of the thread]

thank you, that sounds like a good idea. I've been working on different ideas for a wall between my gunline and the Ironjawz (the player is one of my best friends so I've played against his army many times, but he's recently bought a mountain of Gruntas so I have to adjust) for a while, including:

    - allying in my Skybreakers (Ironbreakers) and Pan-Duardin Relations Diplomatic Officer (Warden King)
    - Fielding an Ironclad with Gunhauler(s) to distribute damage done to it

But I think what is suggested by you with the Riggers for cc and what is otherwise talked about here with actually taking second turn, if given the option,  might really help!
