Yeah unless there's a 2nd head or 2nd helmet, nothing is different except the weapon? And it doesn't make any sense to lock out a weapon choice from a generic hero...

The generic Knight in gold is shown with both heads and both weapons, and the character with just the spear and helmet. So no difference at all - and that does suggest to me it will just be a name for a generic hero rather than a special character.

And they introduce the Knight first, and then say

"The kit can also be used to represent Tornus the Redeemed".

If it was a named character I think they'd have led with that. Represent suggests it's just a name not a separate warscroll.

  2. Underworlds has been brilliant for minis. I've never played the game, but have loads of the warbands, mostly to use in Warcry. I really hope they keep up the small team units. Love the black library minis and units too, but Underworlds is much better value.

    Hummmmm

But none of the clanrats have these things...

It'll be the Eshin Underworlds team Skittershank’s Clawpack - modern sculpts, neat little spruce to giveaway, sewer bases and glowing weapons. And they're really fun to paint, fantastic minis.

  4. I think we've heard that there will be a shared command phase at the start of the battle round, before the first turn play moves. So going first or second may be less impactful when 2nd player can still have buffs up.

  5. Lore on the black Anvils of Heldenhammer is super interesting. They were present in Anvilguard but I think their main base is Shyish.

Mostly heros from the Old World, souls rescued from Nagash rather than plucked from battles - and Nagash wants them back, sending Mrs Grief at them.

So perhaps a new character with hints to the old world. Lord Felix?

They have a cult to Morrda an old raven image death god. I wonder if related to the elf lass.

And - I'm curious to see if Mrs Ruin is the one who wipes Phoenicium.

  6. "two cities will rise, but one will fall before the end"

and that shadow over the city reference from vol2

Are we wondering if neither of the crusades will fail, but it's actually the city of Phoenicium that will fall?

Taking with it the last remains of the old High Elf range, which will all return in TOW.

The ogor scale is great, but I still cant get over the human sized crow's nest on their backs. It would take a quadruped the size of an elephant to move comfortably with that, and the leverage of having it up on a pole is even worse.  I can imagine the horrid grinding sounds that Ogor's knees are making as it tries to walk under that load. :)

Are these ogors the same scale as the Hero Ogor from cursed City? I think he may be a bit smaller than these guys. I really like that sculpt, he appears regularly in my D&D campaign as a half-ogre mercenary.

I can carry a kid and some toys on a backpack easily enough, that's about the scale difference, so doesn't seem too bad.

But yeah, the pole would make this tough to balance, even if the weight sits low down the back.
