Well that's no fun at all. So we may end up with 6 months of nothing for mainline AOS? I hope they plan on extending the Edition because that means we are gunna have to steamroller out Battletomes in 2023.

not it will end like DLC or yearly versions of Video games .. Fifa or Call of Duty or Battlefield (not yearly but 3-4 years of beta test and when everything is release you change version)

  2. based on the poor work/choices of the current AoS team i'm not surprised about the no release after skaven/sylvaneth. Poor staff look way understrength for what we need and they choosed to rely on physical superiority over digital and it's slowing them.

The second is likely to be the printed GHB though so not "skipping" just putting something out that wont invalidate a product they are going to charge their customers for. Look at how often in 40k that a new Codex has come out and the points have been adjusted either before the Codex or immediately after, it doesn't feel good to buy something physically and it's out of date already. If they just kept points in the apps and got rid of the paywall for building armies it would make things easier as they're not restricted to selling print updates but like others have said, selling copy is their entire business model.

and they don't know their audience because we would still buy the books even if the rules were available online.

  4. Nowadays it's only about being able to delete the opponent in one turn or wistand the damage, no place for in the middle units/faction/allegeances. A bit repetitive. A few tweaks could solve it but they just don't bother. There is power creep toward new things as "we wan't you to buy this" and don't come to me saying i don't have to play competitive : the new battletome unit won't become less powerfull if i say it's not a competition and we can't ask our opponent always take bad units. There is some old warscrolls and factions that are still about rolling dices. And there is all the meta armies that are just here trying to be the less subjected to dice roll and only wan't to steamroll without letting the opponent any chance. Ah and chaos sucks but you'll say i'm not objective. Just look at the poor advertising toward Nurgle and all the rest we got, it's even true for 40k. But there is no point discussing it because we don't have the right to be angry because "it's a game". Well just looks at the stats, hopefully they never put the tourneys outcomes for the lore because there will only be Order in the mortal realms.

I think they should have put those army updates on their site for free to be honest. I dont buy white dwarfs and i am not planning to do so every month. Whenever there was an issue i wanted to buy it was always sold out in a few days here. I am already buying battletomes and those white dwarfs are just another paywall. Do these updates go on the app for free or are they behind a paywall at the moment?

they are forcing people finding leaks and sources and eventually find illegal ways ^^

so every time it gets sniped or too far behind, all our glorious warriors drop their axes and start using pillows.

just typing here to say you made me laugh and cry at the same time.

To answer the rest, all of our warscrolls are in bad shape and we need a battletome. Yeah we are able to win sometime but only by stretching the rules and using some warscroll from another book. I just hope we won't end in summoning army.

  7. i'm having fun in TTS because i have the minis i ordered in December prior to the Nurgle BT release ... TTS beats GW shitttty logistic and you can't say anything against that ^^

But i'm pretty sure TTS doesn't help people clearing their pile of shame

I would like to know your opinion about the state of acceptance due to specific points:

    1. Prices increasing with each new release.

    2. Rules bloated. It sometimes takes more than 4 books / releases to have all of the rules together.

    3. Power level increasing with new releases, leaving older armies behind.

    4. GW basically neglecting certain factions, wich just don't get anything new and up to date.

    5. Models being locked behind paywalls, or big box sets, for a long period of time.

    6. FAQ debacle.

    7. Massive FOMO

Why do you accept this mess? Looking for individual opinions here.

    cheers///

I personnaly don't but i wasted so much money in it that i'm trapped and almost everyone else makes me feel bad because i don't accept it.

  9. A good battletome is a battletome that makes current unplayable miniatures very powerfull.

A good battletome is a battletome that makes current playable miniatures useless.

A good battletome is a battletome that makes old battletomes feel bad and you have to buy the new one and start an army again.

In a good battletome you just have to drop new overpowered miniatures without a lot of testing.

I'm sure a certain company thinks that way.

  11. most important question : in the rules there is nothing about the pieces that you can't put on scenery without falling. And you can't put a miniature without her base parallel to the ground. So if i'm going to any event i will ask if it's allowed and if it's not then i won't go.

Most of my strenght is within using bloothirsters. So if terrain shenanigan cancel my strentgh i won't enjoy.

Unrelated, but I was looking at Pegasoworld for sculpts, 200mm models would easily make more detailed alternate options for mega gargants, and while expensive, are more detailed and not yet mega gargant priced.

It depends on what you are looking for .. sometimes other brand sculpts are nightmare to paint and it has always bothered me.. but it's rumour threads here and our poor moderators wants us to talk about rumours ^^

Warhammer became an exclusive niche hobby. Exclusive meaning, that people, who are not able to pay the ridiculous prices, are being excluded.

"Warhammer is for everyone" refers clearly to the political context, but not to the personal.

People who should not be buying cigarets because they have other things more important where they sould spend their are still buying cigarets. Life finds a way.
