  1. Talking to my local gaming shop, he was assigned 10 copies at launch, however, talking to GW he was informed at the time there would be a second print around 6 to 8 weeks later. A few days after the preorder weekend he received an email informing him that Cursed City was no longer available. I suspect there were plans for a reprint, but for some reason the game is no longer going to be produced. Releasing the models on their own is probably to allow GW to make back the money spent on the molds.

I was under the impression that GW is going back to weekly releases starting in march, but I don't have a source on that besides "everyone is saying".

I tried to figure out when Mr. With Hat and Mr. With Black Axe were released, but could not find any definitive info quickly.

I believe they were updates for Kemmler and Krell from late Fantasy (7th, 8th or End Times), but I could well be wrong. Does anyone know for sure?

EDIT: As far as I can tell, the Necromancer with Hat is from 2010, and the Wight King with Black Axe is newer than that.

I believe the Heinrich Kemmler model dates back to 1994, remember it coming out, and pretty sure it has never been updated.

The Krell model is much more recent, think it was from the last refresh of the range before the End Times, at the same time as the newer vampire lords, like the Von Carsteins.

  3. Hi all,

    Greetings from Middlesbrough.

I started with the Warhammer world with 4th edition Warhammer, Rogue Trader, Heroquest, Talisman and Space Crusade back in the late 80's, although I drifted away from fantasy around 6th edition, mostly focussing on 40k. Over the years I have made some attempts to return and have been checking up on the Mortal Realms from time to time to see if there is anything to keep me interested. The Idoneth release definitely got my attention, and now that I have limited options for my free time, a month or so ago I took the plunge and bought a starter set to get me going.

I am currently planning a Namarti-heavy list for the Idoneth Deepkin and working out how to translate my old Warhammer Skaven army into something fun and interesting. Particularly interested in the Anvil of Apotheosis stuff,  as I used to love creating my own characters in the Old World.

I've been checking this website for a few months now, and hoping to get a bit more involved in the hobby again, even though I seem to be very short on free time at the moment.

Will try and get some pictures up here when I can.

    Adam
