  1. Anybody got good solutions how to make round-based models usable?

I bought a pretty neat pile of Lost Kingdom Bretonians and based them on AoS legal round bases - now I wish I'd stuck with the rectangle bases...
The resin models are so brittle, that I don't think I can rebase them without losing at least half of the models legs.

Saw a Chapter Master Valrak vid today, he claims that there will be 2 big boxes, the Bretonian one will be something like 70 models, but mostly old ones outside of a new Lord on Pegasus. Tomb King one will be about 90 models, again mostly old models (though Necropolis Knights will apparently be in and they are 8th Ed. at least), with a new Liche Priest on some form of undead Dragon (think from Warmaster.

Apparently it is a source he trusts as reliable. Was supposed to release this year but got pushed back as LI got moved back into its slot or something. Sorry if this has already been posted but I think it is new info!

I got some kind of a urge two years ago and bought a boatload of "last kingdom" bretonnian look alikes from a 3d printing company.

The models are brittle af, so I might get tempted to buy even more bretonnians.
    Can't wait...

Ok. After looking at the rumour engines, I'm calling it now. Next year we are getting fairly sizable  updates, as in at least Sylvaneth sized,  for Seraphon and FEC. This year has been a bit of a dud minis wise to the extent that I've put my money into non gw minis for the first time in a long time. Next year, however, is looking a lot more promising even if it is a 40k new edition year.

Is the 40k new edition thing a fact?

  4. Hi there,

since I had the chance to get some AoS games in (thanks to tabletop simulator) and my strong affection towards those pale heroes, I'd like to get into the SBGL ranks.

I'd like to focus on vampires, so I thought picking "legion of night" for the vargheist battleline would fit in well...
But I'm not sure where to go from there.
Bloodknights seem to be a standard pick.
Vampire Lords start to shine when paired with some of the summonable stuff.
Crimson Court seems to be a bit flat-chested (ruleswise).

Anyone got any tipps for a noob (maybe I can avoid buying stuff that doesn't work well)?

  5. Hi there,

I'm quite new here and I miss the function to go to the first unread post in a thread.
Clicking the thread title brings me to the first page and I can find no option to change that...

It's probably a small thing, that I didn't recognize and I hope I didn't violate the rules, by opening this topic.

have a nice day you all...

  6. Hi there,

I'm a long time 40k player and decided to get some AoS action.  I'm from germany (bavaria) and bring almost 17 years of tabletop "experience" (b&b player all the way).

I bought a small Lumineth Box and I'm looking forward to get some inspiration and playing tipps from this community...

And maybe I'll get around to field my first fully painted army (yeah, I have to admit, I'm not a good painter and therefore only moderately motivated).

    also:

Merry Christmas and festive days to all of you!
