As i said many times, smith is 100% useless. The ward cant be used by hg and we have many others wards in our book.

The rally is useless being only out of melle, and 150 points is as 50 overcosted.also no chance to defend him.

Same reason than flamekeeper is bad also, but he cost only 90 points so isnt big if we loose him.

And vulkites have too much low damage to even consider bringing them to a competitive game.

Only father\son + retinue of hg is close to competitive, any other unit of our book isnt competitive.

Even runesmitter and runemaster dont worth his points when gonna be killed in one turn of shooting but we need bring them if we want  any buff because now that we havent any cp only they can give us any buff.

Loosing two priest to first alpha double shooting of sc isnt big deal, better than loose nagash, teclis, maw krusha as other armys

Just sell your army and go to another thread. Thanks and nice a a day.

Of course we're getting a new tome soon but thought I might give this sillyness a try.  Just a bunch of whackos with axes running around aside from the very durable debuffing Magmadroth general.  Probably not as good as Cockatrice spam in Beasts of Chaos, but still, something fun :)

You need 6 leaders for two Warlord battalions and you only have 1 (Grimwrath Berserker and Gotrek are not leader, just heroes but even if they were, you would only have 5 heroes).

I can honestly only think of two explanations for every unit in the army being treated this bad, either:

    1. Bonesplittered, deliberately nerfed down to irrelevance as part of a soup army they don't actually want anyone to play, or

    2. Actually getting new units, so they needed to make the old stuff look bad. I don't believe that at this point, so I'm sticking with theory#1 until otherwise proven.

I play Bonesplittez and Fyreslayers so I hear ya :(

So unit variation at FS means like... 3 "different" units, that look basically the same.

We now have 33% more units warscrolls !

...Vulkite are two warscrolls now 🤬

Hi just want to know can you have 2 units strike before your opponent in your phase with Hermdar? If you can how do does it work

You cannot in AoS v3 because you cannot use the same command ability in the same phase!

The waagh won't help the mask sadly, as the waaagh only takes place in the combat phase and the Mask is used in the Hero phase in place of spell casting. A 4+ ward is still nice. It basically is a suicide vest vs heroes and monsters. Again the problem is that it has to live through a combat phase for it to work.

You are totally right, didn’t saw the combat only in the Waagh!

The lost of the +1 to hit for Savage Orruk on charge wasn’t necessary

How is he getting a 2+ save? The item ads +2 to the bearer. The Wurrgog lost his 4+ ward, so the item would make it a 3+, which is still pretty good.

Over all I agree. Icebones are the winners. I am not happy with the changes. We aren't unplayable, but it feels like we lost a lot of very important stuff for very small gains here and there.

    6+ base ward

    4+ with artefact

2+ with Waaagh (for one turn)

  8. Hey guys!

Got a 100 players V2  tournament this weekend and I challenged a local Podcast host for the first game. I don’t know what will be the exact composition of his army but the only thing I know is that it’s gonna bring Archaon and will be Tzeentch heavy.

I don’t have a lot of tournament experience and would like to have pointers 😉.

    Thanks in advance!

My army list is the following:

    (Clan: Icebone)

    Wurrgog Prophet

         General

         Artefact: Kattanak Pelt

         Command Trait: Great Hunter Spell:

          Spell: Breath of Gorkamorka

    Savage Big Boss

    Savage Big Boss

    Wardokk Spell: Brutal Beast Spirits

    Wardokk Spell: Kunnin' Beast Spirits

    15x Savage Boarboys (Stikka)

    30x Savage Orruk Arrowboys

    30x Savage Orruks (Stikka)

    1x Rogue Idol

First impressions of Fyreslayers from my game today:

Unleash Hell with a Runeson on Magmadroth followed by Stomp is great fun. It's even better if a MONSTER charged you and you also hit them with your javelin for D3+2 damage.

Lofnir tunneling in 15 Auric Hearthguard with either the Lofnir command ability or All-Out Attack and the rune to reroll hit1 is still really good, but it's incredible in a MONSTER meta.

10man squads of Hearthguard Berzerkers are definitely worth their 250 points, even without double fight or fight first. They're still effectively 40 wounds and usually on a 4+ save, and their damage output is good enough that they can't just be ignored. I could definitely imagine myself using a 15man unit with a Lifeswarm and Rally bringing them back

Speaking of magic, Arcane Tome is spectacular. Give it to a Magmadroth to add Arcane Bolt into your charge/countercharge combo, or cast Flaming Weapon on your Claws & Horns to pump up their damage. Turn a foot HERO into a MONSTER to help score Battle Tactics or just count as 5 models on an objective. Greyfyrd can bring so many Arcane Tomes it might as well be known as the WIZARD lodge from now on.

Thanks you for this post, it really cool to finally have some positive input! 👍🏻

    Here's their quote:

"Mangler Squig, Skarbrand are NOT the things to engage with. Also the Magmadroth from the Fyreslayers has a 3d6 MW shooting attack at it's lowest bracket. Can't be reckless."

Looking at it they're likely referring to the Roaring Fyrestream though that only does D6 MW's so it's either a mistake with the 3D6 targets or something

That guy just looked at the table and saw 3d6 and assume it’s was the damage? 😂😂😂

The Guerilla Miniatures playtesters are speaking well for them at least. They listed the magmadroth dropping 3D6 mortal wounds as their top monsters to watch out for in the new edition.

Sorry for the noob question as I’m fairly new with the Fyreslayers but how can Magmadroth do 3d6 MW ?
