    I'm currently running this list:

Thunderer Leader -good stats and can use the bird Double -175
Skywarden - 2" melee is nice and no minimum range on pistol -mobile -200
Endrinrigger -slightly better melee and no minimum range on pistol -mobile -205
    Thunderer with aethercannon - great damage-dealer -175
Arkanaut with skypike - 2" melee, but no range - helps block and clear models within 3" of the shooters  -85
Arkanaut with volleygun - low Str, but many shots!    -105

Though only having 6 models can be tough as you'll be out-activated, two balloons is worth it for mobility and almost everyone can shoot.  Will likely add more Arkanauts with volleyguns as I get a territory, but having some low-cost Arkanauts may be helpful for controlling objectives and having activations.

Do you find that 6 guys is decent even against more hoard armies?

Personally, I don’t think the volleygun is worth it on such an expensive model as (either of) the balloonrider(s). However, for almost the same price, you can get 2x arkanauts with volleyguns, for double the shots. I’d also upgrade the skyhook to a drill cannon, since you have the points spare. Will still leave you a very elite list.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it

  3. Hi! Can I pick your brain? I have two lists, one more elite. Do you think this elite one will work?

    Decksweeper (130)

Volley Pistol and Arkanaut Cutter (170)

the 195 guy w/ bird (sorry I don’t know the name!)

    drill cannon (220)

    skypike (260)

  4. Thanks so much for the replies. Good point about incremental rule additions as I learn that will probably help. These decks are larger and more intimidating than the last ones. I don’t have much time to experiment with a bunch of different warbands but melee does seem to have less to focus on in the beginning. When I build my teams, what should I focus on? Like speed, toughness, attack? I mean I’m trying to figure out how to compare how teams play and how they will play for a beginner. I was thinking speed seems awfully important, but I’m not sure if it is in practice. Sorry for the thousand questions, I just really don’t have a ton of time to customize my band and learn and still have a really bad team. Lol

  5. Appreciate the input! I think that’s my problem... lol. I really like how both look, and I’m unsure if I’d like a shootier band or a run up and smash them warband. Lol. Do you think one would be easier to learn with or more forgiving for a newbie?

  6. Hi everyone! I am trying to pick my first warband and am trying to decide between Beasts of Chaos and the Kharadron Overlords.  Which are easier to learn and start playing with? I found some info on the Beasts of Chaos in Warcry but not much, if any, on the KOs. I am not sure where to even begin with them, to be honest. Any help would be appreciated!
