The Dracoth mounted one is pretty good though
But I'd like to see viable extremis chamber list, with Drakesworn Templar, dracothian guard and celestant on dragon.
Or better yet dracothian guard lead by Vandus Hammerhand.
Too bad that they're so pricy (how in the world Vandus is worth 280 points?) both by terms of points and cash. It would be welcome change if two dracoths wouldn't be so expensive, but this would never happened unfortunately.

Imho, if they are battleline, at 180pts they are fine
Yeah, please do that. Palladors could be conditional battleline with aquilor as general. I always dreamed about having big cavalry, lead by aquilor. That would be neat.

Prosecutors and Palladors are easily my favorite models in the game. Such good sculpts. With enough of a points decrease, Palladors would have a strong tactical use, even if they aren't the best in a fight.
But nothing short of a complete overhaul will make our poor angel-spartans practical on the tabletop.
Maybe if they would've cost as much as Aetherwings, they could've become great screen. Well, maybe 60 points, they have armor save after all

The greatest insult is prosecutors. I have 6 of these converted and painted up with shield and javelin. They look like super human spartans with wings. In combat they are 1 attack, 4+, 4+ no rend 1 dam... serious GW? And they had three attempts at the warscroll. Three!
Grimbok
Don't forget they have two wounds each and slightly worse special weapons than Liberators and paladins combined. Prosecutors are real MVP

Would make a nice terrain piece indeed for Blades of Khorne!
Or kharadron overlords.
I feel like whole idea of creating dedicated terrain pieces, which are part of yours Allegiance ability can be summarized as money altar. No wonder that chaos destroyed old world.

Nope, it's about you sacrificing yourself on GW's money altar 😛
Sorry, my bad. Aos setting is indeed grimdark.
I guess that would be fitting terrain piece for SCE.

I agree with Yondaime. Od course it is tempting to be the best army, but I personally aim to be on par with newer releases. For example NH (which is not in the best spot as well) have the same deep strike like ours, but on 10+ charge automatically attacks. Retributors on paper looks good, but in reality they never was game changer for me. 1 protector can technically kill frost lord, but it's too gimmicky. SCE is cool army, with cool lore and cool models. I just like that their rules would be on par with lore, especially older, forgotten units.
It's really no fun to play my vanguards or paladins against Tzeentch and be obliterated in second turn, or get stuck in fight with 20 pink horrors for whole battle. I know, I can play other army, or better list, but then what is the purpose for the most of SCE range? Don't get me wrong. I'm not ranting, I will play them no matter what. It would be nice to have some more fun. Isn't it what is all about?

Well lightning usually misses the things I wish it would hit, so sounds realistic to me 💁♀️
Does it make us the most realistic army in aos?

Absolutely this. They need to do for SCE what they did for space marines. One moment SM were terrible- weapons that were uninteresting and a troop unit that was unremarkable compared to any other troop unit. Now they're much closer to how they're portrayed in the narrative. Their weapons can be AP/Rend -2 on a standard unit!
When you read about stormcast, the armous is made FROM SIGMARITE ORE HARVESTED FROM THE HEART OF THE OLD WORLD THAT FLOATS ABOVE AZYR, CRAFTED BY THE DUARDIN DEMIGODS THE SIX SMITHS. THEIR WEAPONS ARE INFUSED WITH THE ENERGIES OF ONE OF THE SENTIENT STORMS OF AZYR. Hmm, what should their stat line be? 4+ save, 2 attacks 4+/3+/rend 0/1 damage, bravery 6. These guys should be incredibly powerful. 3+ save minimum. 2 attacks, 3+/3+/rend -1/1dmg minimum, bravery 8 minimum.
Yeah. We are the storm incarnate, we will strike with all our might and inflict one wound
-
Well, maybe it's not competitive, but sounds fun. Kinda. I guess. 😛
-
Yeah, I'll take any improvement for SCE. Let's start with point reduction, and then make us demigods we supposed to be with new battletome.

I'm a bit disappointed that they are lowering the points on Stormcasts. I would have much rather seen improvements to the warscrolls so they are worth their points. And if that was happening anytime soon they would probably not be lowering the points just to bring them up again. So we're probably stuck with the current warscrolls longer that at least I hoped.
Not necessarily. For instance, with winter update KO got some points lowering and next month they got new battletome. GHB was assembled and printed long ago. Don't lose hope

Yups, and im gonna help you.

i really hope GW will make our life just a little bit easier. Are you thinking they will really rise tax for any of our units? It’s not like they’re competitive or something.

Where?
Warhammer community page. There are no point values, just tease, but man I hope it will be more than 5 points.

I’ve read new GHB2020 preview. Finally, liberators will be cheaper. I’m wondering how much. Sigmar be praised.

Oh sorry, should have been more clear.
This was meant specifically with this list. It would have two fun* platforms in the form of 10 thunderers in a frigate, twice.
but no endrinriggers to fly high alongside of it. So I would probably end up setting the frigate 17,6 inches away and the gunhaulers in between to screen if need be.i definitely feel other units would be better for it, but they didn’t fit with two escort wings 😅
* autocorrect changed it twice from gun, so I’m just owning it. It works 😂
Man, I fell like “fun platform” should be official term for flying thunderers.

Yeah always full rifle for me. One that’s how I modelled most of them 😂
second. I want the option of shooting over screens, keeping my distance and setting up (in this case) gunhaulers as my own screen in between.
Hm, screening thunderers with gunhaulers sounds interesting. I usually put them inside the ship and create shooting platform. I will check it out.

Haha I would try it vs Stormcast.... so yeah everything is possible then 😅
You just reminded me of my poor SCE. Let us know how double escort wing works. I’m exited about 20 thuderers, I guess they’re my favourite KO unit. What load out you take for them? I prefer full rifle, because it seem most reliable for me.

yeah you're right. Technically I can. But not within what I was trying to achieve. Low drop with 10 thunderers in a frigate.
Yeah, this one looks pretty pathetic, but nothing is impossible for opportunistic privateers. Am I right?

Thanks!
That's a shame. Can't combine it with a escort wing for a two drop 1,5k army then, Back to the drawing board.
Well, technically you can do it, but I guess this is not what you’re aiming for. It doesn’t look very strong.

I guess that is because they are poster boys, and usually first army ppl start collecting. Even now SE can be intimidating to the new players.

I'm looking to get back into Sigmar with the KO army I started, but I am having trouble making a 1,000 point list. I want to run Barak-Zilfin because I love the ships but I don't know what to really put in the list because everything is so expensive. Any help is appreciated.
Maybe try something like that:
Allegiance: Kharadron Overlords
- Sky Port: Barak Zilfin
Leaders
Endrinmaster with Endrinharness (100)
- General
- Command Trait: Great Tinkerer
- Artefact: Staff of Ocular Optimisation
Aether-Khemist (90)
Battleline
10 x Arkanaut Company (90)
- 1x Skypikes
- 1x Light Skyhooks
- 1x Aethermatic Volley Guns
Arkanaut Frigate (250)
- Main Gun: Heavy Sky Cannon
- Great Endrinworks: Prudency Chutes
Units
5 x Grundstok Thunderers (120)
1 x Grundstok Gunhauler (150)
- Main Gun: Sky Cannon
- Great Endrinworks: Coalbeard's Collapsible Compartments
3 x Endrinriggers (100)
3 x Endrinriggers (100)
Total: 1000
Wounds: 67it is pretty flexible, you can change load out on your units to match your play style, put whoever you want into both ships, and it’s pretty easy to build around start collecting box.
-
So they would be regular paladins then?
-
Well, all of us wait for new tome, and I bet it’s gonna be awesome. Almost all new releases are great. Tbh, I hope they will not open new chamber, because that means they most certainly do nothing to improve older units. Man, I’d love to be able to do something with my vanguards and paladins.

You're my idol.
Can you share some list? How many dracoths and stardrakes you own? How much kidney costs, because I feel like I need to sell one to make it possible.
