Hey All,
Anyone have much experience running Drakkfoot? I'm tempted to give them a go, mainly because I hate Hearthguard Bezerkers with a passion, but worry the ability is only useful against a handful of other armies.
Well resume
When you face another kind of army, you play a clan without any use -

The next time I will play an Idol list. How many dudez prefer the Idol to the Maw?
If you play Idol you have to use a prophet and let him do big damages with all +1 to cast he can have.
i like the MK and particularly with the same command ability, artefact and mount trait. It makes him very resilient.

If it’s for taking objectives or block enemy units why don’t you use a bataillon to have less drops and take the table first round 1?

So I don't actually have a spell portal painted 😅 it's kinda hard to fit into my list the way I'm running it. The balewind I can fit in with only a little bit of tweaking.
The Wardokk ?

Icebonez, 30 Arrows, Brutal Rukk with 2x30 Spears, Rogue Idol. Surprisingly fast, reasonable killing power, and 180 chump wounds is just hard to shift off of objectives.
I want to try Big Waaagh, but losing Warpaint against alpha strikes, the pre-game move, and monster hunting feels like a steep price. Trading early game power for mid/late game power, not sure how much I like it personally.
That’s basically what I play in a drakkfoot clan. What I love the most in BW is the way we improve casting. When the prophet has a +4/5 to cast spell this is a big opportunity to remove 10-12 models of mortek 😅
In BW you need 12 pts to have a FNP 6+. With the BW command ability you can generate 7/8 more points for 1 CP, then a wardokk and prophet give you each one point, warchanter 2 and your général à D6. Easy way to reach 12 turn 1.

Everyone seems to be favoring Big Waaagh, but I'm 12-2-1 across 3 tournaments with just straight up Bonesplitterz at the moment. I might try BW at some point, but I don't have any Ironjawz units and I can't see myself playing just Bonesplitterz in it without something like a Mawkrusha or some Pigs to make use of the combination.
Which clan do you play? What’s your list focused on?
I play bones’ but I want to try BW why a Megaboss on MK to see how powerful it is.

Guys, I need your opinion about my Big Waaagh! list.
I'm a bonesplitterz player and I'd like to keep most of them on the list. Of course IJ brings us rend and this is not inconsiderable.... but I love my bones' and they lore. I'de like to know if this kind of list works well or if it's not a little bit pricey to play only a Mega Boss on MK.
The goal is to let the MK use his command ability Brutish Cunning to move at my 1st hero phase and then let the boarboys run and charge with brutal rukk. The Prophet is definitely the man in every big waaagh list because he can cast spell with +3/4/5 (with big waaagh and different bonuses). Last game against 3x30 phoenix guards (FNP 4+) he killed them in every phase of magic between 8 and 12 in a pack...and it would be better against Mortek guards (FNP 6+) ... WTF 😅Behind then, 3x30 savage will block the enemy units and protect heroes from some deep strikes or invocations.
Let me know

Is that your list?
how does the Wurgogg get +5 to cast?+2 with master of the weird and Mork artefact, +1 from the wardokk and +2 from the big waaagh for D6 points.

How has everyone found Bonesplitters go in a Big Waaaagh? What combinations are good?
Warchanter + Maniac Weirdnob + Rogue Idol = FUN
I play Bonesplitterz with only one Warchanter. This is absolutely insane too. The Rogue Idole is a fire bomb who can be buffed as hell +2 save, +1 dmg, hit and wound, reroll 1s to hit after charging, etc... then +5 to cast spell with the wurgogg, tons of savage orruk who do 90 hits on 3/3+, charge at +3, .... damn hell Bonesplitterz can do their magic too 🔥

So technically, I just need my 3 units of 10 models to ''touch'' the 12in radius in order to get 3 Waaagh points, correct?
In a bubble of 12" around your Hero or 18" if it's a Warchanter, count any models you have (not wholly it means a small peace of the base is OK) then for each 10 models it gives you 1 point of Waaagh

Hi guys,
Quick question about the mechanic of 'Ere We Go, 'Ere We Go, in Big Waaagh. So it says that I choose 1 friendly Orruk Hero and then I receive 1 Waaagh point for every 10 Orruk models that are within 12'' of that hero. (or 18 if warchanter). Let's say I have 3 units of 10 and I want to profit from this, do they need to all be inside the 12in range (like wholly within) or my units only need to be touching the 12in radius (like any normal ''within'' wording).
That ''model'' part of the description really confuses me. Could you help out?
I think this is only "within" and not "wholly within". I've checked the errata and nothing says it's wholly.
Btw, we're talking here about models and not units.- 1

Honestly it's an interesting list. Not many armies will be able to kill all your boyz. I think like you said you'll have trouble killing tough units, especially if your Idol goes down, but to me this list is more about playing objectives then killing. In some matchups you'll be able to chop up your opponents but the really strength in this army in particular is sitting on objectives and not moving. If that's your style than this list is pretty good.
Outside of the Idol it's biggest weaknesses are lack of Mortals wounds, lack of rend, lack of ranged output and lack of mobility. A unit of Arrowboyz would give you some reach, and if you put it behind one of your 30 orruk units it would make your opponent have to do something about it. If you go 30 Arrowboyz I would consider a Maniak Weirdnob. With a full 30 man unit his spell is nice.
I think it could win a lot of games but it will be matchup dependent and it would be a very grindy. If that's your style it could definitely work! There may be a more balanced list with only 2 30 man units, more buffs (Wardokks) and some ranged/mobility but taking it to the extreme with 90 boyz could work!
Thanks for the reply !
Indeed, I can imagine to change a full pack of 30 savage by boarboys ? I don't think I really have a lack of move because I can easily cast the breath and also the Brutal Rukk let me run and charge so if I do it well I can charge round 1. Last game, I cast the breath on the Rogue Idol and then he flies 20" and then charge with +1, and this is basically the deal round 1. Then round 2, one or two packs of 30 savage charge with the Savage Big Boss. The rest stay behind on objectives. Now sure it depends of the matchup, the scenario, etc...Do you have a suggestion ? I need as few drops as I can that's why I'm going to prioritize units from Brutal Rukk's battalion...

I tried this army list last Friday and the Beasts of Chaos got run over at the end of round two...
I like the ability to add +1/+1 to hit and wound, that's crazy wth big packs of Bonesplitterz. With a bit of luck (6 on my D6 waagh points) and the command ability to add 1 pt of Big Waaagh each 10 miniatures 18" around the Warchanter I easily reached the cap to have all bonuses I need round 1 after charge.Special mention to my Rogue Idol boosted like never before 2+ save, mystic shield, hit and wound on 2+/2+ minus 2 damage D6+1 and 2+1 (thanks warchanter 😍) and reroll 1s to hit after charging (haha).
Other interesting stuff in this list was my Wurrgog Prophet boosted by a +3 to cast spells. (+1 with Master of the Weird, +1 with Mork's Boney Bitz & +1 with the Rogue Idol). Put him on a Vortex and this guy will do serious damages with a decent save at 4+.
Finally, this is a 5 drops army list with 220 wounds, 2 extra command points and a list that automatically generates 13 + 1D6 points for a CP round 1.
Ok bonesplitterz have a lack of rend but my savage orruks are clearly point-of-life bags who have 90 hits range 2" on 3+/3+ . Perhaps I should switch a savage orruk pack and a CP for a Arrowboyz full pack but it would add me one more drop to the list. Or 10/15 boarboys....that's another good option.Let me know what do you think about this list and how I can improve it ?

Would love to have your point of view about this list in a competitive orientation.
Basically, I'm focused on making a lot of wounds and 6 with the minus 1 width the Icebone Clan.
242 wounds, 3 poses, 3 artefacts and 2 CPs, 240 shots in a round with the arrowboys. -

I have a quick question. How many big stabbas can I make out of a 20 boyz box if I have several boxes of big stabbas bits left over? Are the arms unique to the model or can I double up (or more).
In a basic box of 20 boyz you can make 2 because you also need different bases (2 in a box. If you bought some boxes you should have some ^^).
I think there's a simple way to adapt some hands but yes, basically, hands for stabbas are unique. -

With GM's Warcry you can take 2-3 boar units into one unit and combo kill if needed
Indeed, that's a good point.
46 minutes ago, Oreaper84 said:A battalion may help too that way you get an extra artifact for the handy +1 to cast on the Prophet
I can go snaga rukk, because this one doesn't bring the savage big boss.
we'll check -

Maniaks are best in large units
I though they were better in small units.
15 maniaks in one unit range 1" with no save will be easy to get down, no ? Ok they'll have 8 attacks each and I can buff them as much as possible. What's your vision about that ? Should I play them with save bonuses and breath and let them engage 2/3 units and let them strike everything they can ? Split them in 3x5 units to grab objectives ? Split them 1x10 (go hit and have a better immune for battle shock ?) & 1x5 (go to objectives) -
What do you guys think about this 2k list for a tournament next Saturday ?
Main goal is to buff Arrowboys for explode on 6, reroll 1s on hit and +1 to hit.
Give +2 save with the Wardokk and breath spell to my Rogue Idol or my 15 boars to impact Round 1 and tank with a mystic shield.Keep objectives as long as possible with my savage and arrow and cast some anti-horde spells with the Wurrgog.

So has anyone had any experience with the new Bonesplitterz army and fighting against Ossiarch Bone Reapers? A friend of mine from the days of Warhammer Fantasy has finally decided to come around to AoS and he picked up the new Bone Reapers army because he thought the models look cool (I can't ever argue with that line of thinking). So far I have only played a quick & dirty 1000pt battle with him to show him the rules. I did not bring a very optimized force and we only played the basic kill each other starter scenario - but it did not go well for Bonesplitterz. Does anyone have experience playing against OBR with Bonesplitterz? Our overall lack of rend seems like in general this is just going to be a pretty unpleasant match-up.
First play Drakkfoot. No feel no pain for enemy on wounds.
I personally use Rogue Idol boosted by the Wardokk pray and kunnin spell. It bring it to 2+ save, own feel no pain at 5+ and Bonesplitterz 6+. You can give it a +1 damage on melee weapon with a Warchanter.
last time it broke 40 mortek guard petriflex in 2 rounds.
You can also use 30 Arrowboyz boosted with brutal spell. It gives you 90 shots 4+/4+. Last time Ive one shot a catapult.
of course there’s also Stabbas but I never tried.
the stuff is also to play some boarboys to rush objectives and block ossiarch units with some others and the Rogue Idol.

I think his list is correct. Perhaps he can switch for savage boarboys only and put another 30 orruks in a brutal rukk ? It could make sense with his great hunter ability which would be definitely a "kick & run" style. I would suggest in this case to use the Gorkamorka war cry + Breath spells in priority.
