  1. With the idea to use Morathi, I've made a list around her. Let me know what do you guys think about it.

The main goal, is to put pressure on the ennemies with the Lauchon but also with the ability to run & shoot + charge with the Sorceress. I imagine 80% of the time, I'll have turn 1 because the opponent will certainly try to get the double turn on me. With Vitriolic and the Lauchon + the Sorceress CA I can put this pressure on turn 1. I chose Steed of Shadows for the Morathi-Khaine because to my mind, the combo with her spell is a really way to snipe heroes. We have to remember she does 3x 3+/3+/-1/D3 and also 6x 3+/3+/-1/1 which is for me a thing to not denied. I will use the lauchon turn 1 with the 20 shards and do the CA of the Sorceress on the 30 shard with the Har Kuron prayer on them. I have the option to use the launchon with a 20 guards unit also, it will depend on the game.

This city finally has me excited to rebase my old dark elves and maybe even expand my 1K of DoK.

trying to make the most of the prayer and the models I like best I ended up with these two lists.

    *

I struggle with two things.  So help an elfy  brother out

one is MW outpUt. Love my executioner models. But they aren’t as good as I need them to be to fill this hole.

second is objective play.  Nothing is really holding its own in that regard.  I like the Corsair + prayer + fleet master combo. Same for the dark shards.
but maybe I need to drop one for some screens/anvils. But what would function like that?

You're not allowed to use COS city roules in Har Kuron

Surely Morathi can't take an artefact?
Oh or is that on the SQ? Traitor's Banner such a nice fitting item!!

Good question, I'm waiting for the BT to know it if we can put an artefact on the Morathi-Khaine new model.

Spellportal is 18"range so I wonder how useful Vitriolic spray would be. I guess Morathi would be up front blocking access to squishy darkshards somewhat?

It will be, with the balewind vortex for improving the range by 6, and btw, vitriolic is 6".
The thing would be to cast balewind and gain some inches by putting the endless spell in front of the sorceress and then put her on it. Then cast the umbrall with the Morathi-Khaine and put the first one at 1" of the sorceress in front of the balewind vortex. By this little glitch you can gain some inches and also use the 6" improved range from the balewind by the umbrall spellportal.

What spell would you put on Morathi?

I'll certainly put the -1 to hit or +1 to wound spell.

I made this video analysis of the PB list. I hope you like it and if you want, we can discuss it in order to improve analysis on the future.

This is currently 99% my tournament list mate !
Just a thing, I prefer to give the LoB the full reroll of its save and the endless gift to the harbinger. Last big tournament here in France (32 players) I did 4/1 and finish at the 4th place. Only lose again Fyreslayers because it was impossible to snipe his heroes for the FNP. Then, won against Idoneth, Tzeentch, Sylvaneth and Ossiarch

Hello, I beg your pardon, i'm not a native english speaker(german).

What does "spam" means in this context?

It certainly means play with a lot of marauder units. Marauders....Marauders everywhereeeee (ref to a ToyStory GIF ^^)

    Hello,
with the new costs changes the thricefold is again highlighted
Munificent Wanderers can make Plaguebearers even more resistant and allow to put mortal wounds
    What do you think?

    4 drops

    Allegiance: Nurgle
    - Host of Chaos: Munificent Wanderers

    Leaders
    Great Unclean One (320)
    - General
    - Plague Flail & Massive Bilesword
    - Command Trait: Pestilent Breath
    Great Unclean One (320)
    - Bile Blade & Doomsday Bell
    - Artefact: Tome of a Thousand Poxes
    Rotigus (320)

    Battleline
    30 x Plaguebearers (300)
    30 x Plaguebearers (300)
    30 x Plaguebearers (300)

    Battalions
    Thricefold Befoulment (60)

Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs
    Umbral Spellportal (70)

    Total: 1990 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 1
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 138

If you play munificent you have to take the command trait and artefact of the host before all.

Another good option is to use belakor ability on the important front objective taking unit. In this case you have a 2/3 chance that you will get that mid objective first even if your opponent decides to begin.

Fair point. I'll adjust my choice when I'll have my opponent army in front of mine ;)
Other option is to do it on a big unit used as a rope to protect all the army without any flying units. On a 1, 2, 3, 4 they block all the army move 😛

And btw, sure i'll keep you update.

I've played a quite similar list for the last year even before our new hosts...

One advise from my side: try to squeeze a LoB in for his command ability. I know it's an extra drop but believe me in this list with this strategy he is worth it.

Indeed. I hesitated for a long time but I've considered 1 less drop is a must have when you want to sit on objectives R1.
My list is already validated so I can't change and we'll see if my opponents will have more than 3 drops :)

The only problem with that list is that you're sort of hoping the enemy will kill itself hitting you while you play the mission, since you have low damage. At least it's low in drops, though.

    Indeed.
I'll try this "competitive" 2 drops tallyband list in a good local tournament :

    - GUO 340
    - Be'Lakor 240
    - Poxbringer 120
    - 3x30 Plaguebearers 960

    -1x10 Plaguebearers 120
    - Tallyband 160
    - Geminids 60
    *************
    2000 pts / 1 extra CP

it will not be really funny to play but it could be a great combo with the Be'Lakor aptitude to take the 1st turn, use its aptitude on a big enemy unit (Alarielle, Changelord, etc ...) and then sit on objectives. After, let the 2nd turn to my opponent to still have the Be'Lakor's aptitude on. Then hope to get the lead on turn 3 and gain more points than my opponent.

Actually for 70 pts. Beasts of Nurgle seem playable with thriceshold, especially taking Munificent Wanderers subfaction under consideration.

I would try something with Hoticulous and 3 units of BoN around him and integrated in a Tallyband with the Munificent Wanderers host it's 2 drops and 2 Feculent at the start of the game.

    Something like that :

    - GUO 320
    - Horticulous 220
    - Poxbringer 120
    - 3x30 Plaguebearers 900

    -1x10 Plaguebearers 110
    - 2x1 Beast of Nurgle 140 (up to 3 in tallyband)
    - Tallyband 160
    - Prismatic palissade 30
    *************
    2000 pts / 1 extra CP

Somebody can confirm either 100 or 110 for Plaguebearers? Would make a different in a list with 80 of them :D

the 110/300 is a bit weird because it means we only gain 30 pts (27% off from the last 120 pts) when the current reduction is 40 pts (33% off from the last 120 pts). One of my friend told me it's 100 pts (He saw it...but can't take photos or else so perhaps it's 110 ^^).

Honestly.  Nurgle last advantage was resilience.  Meta will shift but IMO it will turn into more powerful hammers and armies with stronger warscrolls/traits. Simply as that - hard hitting units will decimate Nurgle even easier meanwhile Nurgle, even with more models on the table still have 0 hard hitting units (if you want to make blightkings your hammer you must invest into hero, artefact, battalion etc to give them rend at least)

But New BT is certainly around the corner in the next 6 months. Then, we can expect real changes and models like Epidemus or bloab, etc... playable again....

For example Epidemus warscroll is to my mind the perfect Nurgle play style. They just have to update it and give some more resilience to the army.
