    Ok, here goes:

    Khelt Nar

160 Bloodwrack Shrine - General - Shadow Stone - Mindrazor

    220 HQoCoB - (KN artefact on the Avatar’s Sword if that’s legal? Don’t think he’s a mount)

    110 Ironscale

360 Sisters of Slaughter x30 (with blades for rule of cool, I know they aren’t as good)

    390 Blood Sisters x15

    260 Blood Sisters x10

    140 Bloodstalkers x5

    100 Khainite Shadowstalkers

    120 Doomfire Warlocks

    140 Scathcoven

    5 free Heartrenders

    2k

So I’m going for a combined arms list that’s flexible and mobile but also has some spiky blocks. The KN CA can make the SoS and BS an unappetising target as it’ll take a lot of wounds to sink but 1s to hit bounce back. Will have a few CPs in hand as Battleshock won’t be a massive issue. Retreat and charge can help me dictate combats, especially with the smaller units, which can screen or block out the backfield on deployment and then move or deep strike to harass enemy objectives early doors.

I have played it, 1-2 vs. a brutal Fuethan IDK list, which is a pretty big counter pick for the list as screens are useless, their movement is obscene and reroll 1s is awarded merely for existing. The list is fun to play though and has all my fave units in so I’m enjoying it.

Feel free to rip it to shreds!!

I am having a hard time figuring out the retreat and charge for KN and how its useful. Maybe I am just missing the obvious, but can you give me an instance in which that ability would be useful?

  2. Having bought both the Original and the Catacombs set, I have a real difficult time recommending anyone buy Catacombs useless they absolutely can not find an original copy. The original set has a significantly higher value. More terrain, the chaotic beasts warbands, the battleplan cards. If you can find an original set for anything less than $250, grab it.

More so, the variable height from the terrain in the original set makes the games much more fun in my opinion. I have played warcry on boards that are mostly flat or lack height changes and they just seem dull. In my opinion the level of strategy is greatly reduced. The games quickly turn into mostly run at each other and bash one another. The height is a key component to the games in my opinion and its why I just haven't enjoyed the catacombs set as of yet.

Lastly, for a final opinion, although the battleplan cards are in the core book, the cards are very welcome to have if you prefer to play your game with a clean tabletop and not wanting to always reference books and thumbing through pages. For me it just makes life easier to have a few cards out versus a couple books.

    Just my opinions though.

Since december I played 20+ games with different dok lists (including two 1dayer tornaments) and thats true - it’s hard to play against this.

If you have everything it’s gas, realy powerfull and lot of tricks. If you planing to buy something, propably better to wiat for new book.

Thankfully I have all pieces for it. DoK has been my primary army so I have been going all in on releases like a fool.

Tonight will just have to be a building frenzy to get them all built in time haha.

Thank you guys for the info as well!

Yeah, mirrordance is pretty crucial to the whole concept. It allows you to nearly guarantee the shadow queen to be right up in your opponent's army, pretty much wherever you want turn 1. It also gives your snakes more flexibility in where you teleport them off to with the command ability, since you can move little morathi up in the boat and project her 24inch range on her command ability much wider before you switch her with the shadow queen. Honestly, I think the mirror dance spell is pretty important with that particular build.

I'll have to give that list a try. When it comes to theory crafting and understanding the subtleties of list, I am admittedly bad haha.

Nice list, now I’m playing similar

    Morathi w Mindrazor

    Shadow Queen

    Medusa w Mirror Dance

    20 Blood Stalkers

    10 Blood Sisters
10 Sisters of Slaughter w bucklets

    9 Khanite Shadowstalkers

    Lauchon

    Vyperic Guard

3 drop list with lot of muvement tricks

W’ll se how it survivalu new book and how add endless spelle

Looking at building a list for an upcoming game. What is the significance of mirror dance? In what instances would you break that spell out? Wouldn't The Wintering be a better option? Or is the goal of the this list literally just to keep shifting units on the board so much so that its a total pain in the butt for the enemy to pin down a unit to attack?

  6. Quick question.

Would both Morathi-Khaine and the Shadow Queen get normal save roll and the fanatical faith save?

Or would only the SQ get the FF roll if she was directly targeted?

Any clarity on this as I have not rolled a game since the update and I have an upcoming match and would like to be on my A-game.

    lol that is my army!

    Temple: Hagg Nar
    Realm: Ghur

    Slaughterqueen on Cauldron - General
Gryph-feather charm, Blessings of khaine, Devoted Disciples,

    Bloodwrack Medusa
    Mind Razor, Shadowstone

    Hag Queen
    Catechisms of murder

    Hag Queen
    Sacrament of blood

    30 Witch Aelves (buckler)

    10 sisters of slaughter

    10 sisters of slaughter

    20 Blood Sisters

    5 Khinerai HeartRenders

    5 Khinerai HeartRenders

    Slaughter Troupe

SoS run naked unless I need them to perform. WE and Snakes get witch Brew, as SQ holds back a bit for buffs and only gets into combat when she really needs to

I usually put Catachism and Mind Razor on the Snakes, and sacrament depending who needs it more that turn, but usually the witch aelves

The snakes are my solid unit and can take a beating, so depending what the enemy is targetting, Blessing will usually go on the snakes. I like to try and engage with the snakes.

Sometimes I will throw everything onto the witch aelves and throw them in to do as much damage as they can do, holding out till wiped out due to Witch Brew, then cleaning up with the snakes.

The snake unit has never failed yet. WE have been wiped out twice

I ran a modified version of this list this weekend. I only have 5 heartrenders, so I added 5 doomfires with the withering and took the extra command point to be at 1970pts.

The one major downfall is not having the second artefact on the medusa, which could have helped significantly with casting of mindrazor, I missed by one a few times when rolling for it.

As for who got which buffs, that depended on where my opponent places some drops. Sometimes it was the snakes with Catachism, other times, it was the WE.

Overall, I went 2-3. I would like to point out that is was the first time I played this list at all, and the first real time I have used SoS since the battletome dropped.

I am confident that I could have gone 3-2 if I would have deployed better, and possibly 4-1 if better deployed and slightly more lucky with buff rolls. I was about 50/50 for prayers throughout the weekend, so it was a little difficult.

    Tournament Question Topic:

Keeping an eye on top DoK, it seems every list has Morathi. This inc ETC lists.

Does this mean Morathi is a must to be highly competitive? or is she just a crutch

The top DOK lists this weekend all had Morathi. I think her Sorceress Supreme ability shines here. The double of spell distances means you can hang her back and drop spells all over the board, this is especially useful if you are playing in a specific realm like Chamon with and Rule of Burning Iron, only really useful against hordes. The ability to attempt 3 spells and unbind 2 is huge if you don't have other magic support. Once you get past the early rounds, then you can transform her and push her up to add some combat support if needed.

These are just my thoughts and I am hardly a top tier player.

Yes, But the idea is the SoS are a support unit for Snakes or the Block of WE. So, if they choose to debuff the Bigger unit, this unit can jump in before hand and try and do some damage 1st, as Sisters have a 2" range on their whips can can hit over the other unit

So if I understand you correctly, you would charge with the Blood Sisters or WE, then with the SoS, attack with the SoS in the hopes to mitigate damage to the Snakes or WE?

I need to ask because I am a terrible DoK player that loses the majority of my games since I moved to a 2k list. Granted, its a terrible list.
