Although it is negative, it’s hard not to be! GW clearly aren’t giving Dispossessed any consideration in terms of balance. Reducing the cost of heroes is great but we needed reductions in points across the army for it to be balanced with the other battletome factions.  Ironjaws have seen a massive change in fortunes with new spells and changes to allegiance abilities and we’ve had nothing. 

The only thing I can see as a positive is that if a book is coming out soonish then they could have already finished writing new rules for us. If that is the case you wouldn’t want to spoil it in the GHB. Beastmen got a book soon after the GHB last year and still had rules in it. Also the books go off to printers 6-8 months in advance so it is possible new rules have been worked on already, so they’ve had to make just minor changes in GHB.

So they essentially confirmed that dispossessed will be covered by a battle tome within the next few years. That could be as part of a different faction (free cities etc.) or as a dispossessed book.

This makes sense because under no circumstances would they say that dispossessed would be rolled into a larger book, they don't actually reveal that level of information in these Q&As. Despite it being fairly obvious that they don't answer questions about specific releases, half of the questions at these events are "Will we get space marine bikes?" etc. It gets quite infuriating.

So they give us some vague ideas of long plans:

• This year (2019) there is still at least one release for each grand alliance.
• Over the next few years, all existing factions will be covered by a battletome. In fairness, they haven't ruled out achieving this by removing a faction, I don't think.

Yeah it’s just what they said came out of the UK games expo preview, but if you were there too that fair enough :). Sounds a lot like what they said at Adepticon

Yeah it came from a couple of people who attended the preview. One being a dispossessed player so I’m willing to believe it, good to finally get some news at least!

Check out the Honest Wargamers most recent show fellow dawi, I think the AoS 6 nations one at 9 minutes in they talk about some Dispossessed news. 

The Dispossessed battletome question was asked at the Games expo preview and GW said actually said yes! But the book wouldn’t be named Dispossessed. They feature inside the book though. Check it out though as I can’t remember all the information they gave. 

Could fit with the fluff from the fyreslayers book. With the new grungni dwarves and then the dispossessed being included in the book too, like spiderfang was in Gloomspite. Exciting times!
