  1. Hey, this is a post I never thought I'd have to make:

So I've recently inherited a massive supply of Idoneth stuff and I'm not sure how best to use it all. Could someone help me make a list/lists with all this stuff?

    1 x Eidolon of Mathlann

1 x Lotann, Warden of the Soul Ledgers

1 x Volturnos, High King of the Deep

    2 x Isharaan Soulscryers

    2 x Isharaan Tidecasters

    2 x Ishaaran Soulrenders

    2 x Akhelian Allopexes

    9 x Akhelian Guard

    50 x Namarti Thralls

    40 x Namarti Reavers

So this looks like a good list, but you aren't going to have too many bodies on the table. If you can kill enough of your opponents units with your ships you should be fine, especially with the purple sun of shyish applying some extra damage. I will give you that the thunderers will bash in the faces of anyone they come across, especially if you screen them with those arkanauts, that's essentially all your infantry except for 3 riggers. Could work, but your gonna have to kill some o the enemies units before you can contest more than one objective at once.

Do you think it's worth dropping the frigate to run more foot slogging Arkanauts?

  3. So this is the list I think I'm going to run but still a little unsure. Here's my thinking:

    1. Urbaz because Aether gold is awesome. Every single unit receives one (except the riggers) plus D3.

    2. Thunderers in the Ironclad for mass shooting. Riggers for the healing (not sure if to kit them out for shooting or melee).

    3. Dirigible Endrinmaster with Phosphorite bomblets  can deal out insane damage on key target.

    4. Arkanaut company in the Frigate for mobile objective camping.

    5. Gunhaulers can zip around and provide flexible support where needed. Can also take charges/wounds for the Ironclad.

    6. Khemist with Spell in a Bottle. Honestly, not sure what spell to give him. Maybe Geminids?

Anyway, all critique is welcome. Help me learn!

    Spoiler

    Sky Port: Barak Urbaz

Endrinmaster with Dirigible Suit (220) - General - Command Trait : Grudgebearer - Artefact : Phosphorite Bomblets

    Aether-Khemist (90) - Artefact : Spell in a Bottle

Grundstok Gunhauler (150) - Main Gun : Sky Cannon - Great Endrinworks : Breath of Morgrim

Grundstok Gunhauler (150) - Main Gun : Sky Cannon

    10 x Arkanaut Company (90) - 1 x Skypikes - 1 x Light Skyhooks - 1 x Aethermatic Volley Guns

    10 x Grundstok Thunderers (240)

    3 x Endrinriggers (100) - 1 x Aethermatic Volley Guns - 1 x Drill Launcher

Arkanaut Ironclad (510) - Main Gun : Great Sky Cannon - Great Endrinworks : The Last Word

Arkanaut Frigate (250) - Main Gun : Heavy Sky Cannon

    Grundstok Escort Wing (140)

    Purple Sun of Shyish (50)

    TOTAL: 1990/2000

Do Cypher Lords really come with 28 mm bases (one of 3 base sizes included)?

I wanted to use the AoS shattered bases... :(

I can confirm. 3x25mm bases, 4x28mm bases and 1x32mm base.

The Luminate and  3 Mirrorblades are on 28mm.

  5. I'm thinking about basing each warband in the realm they're from.

Green vegetation for Splintered Fang, metallic for Iron Golems etc.

Should be okay as long as you include dog screen. Crushers and knights both rely on the charge and are not fast enough to pull turn 1 charges. You'll have to tie things up with dogs.

Crushers are strictly better than knights, but cost more.

Also don't forget obligatory priest with skulls and bloodsecrator, cavalry scales really well from him.

When you say dogs, do you mean Flesh Hounds or Warhounds?

Is it better just to go all Crushers and forget the Knights?

I think a huge Brass Stampede is a very viable Khorne build.  Chaos Knights probably are too but should have that mounted Lord of Chaos with them too.  And Bloodstokers!  Bloodstoking all over the place.  I'm hoping that the Slaves to Dankness tome gives some battalions with the various god keywords like the Beasts of Chaos did; that would give many an old Warrior and Knight something new and exciting to be a part of.

Just a draft but how does this look? Not sure the battalion is needed to be honest.

There's so much more I'd want to add to this: Flesh Hounds, more Slaughterpriests, a Warshrine, more Bloodstokers, Chaos Lord on Manticore etc.

No relics or traits yet because I really don't know what would be best suited.

How bad would this list get stomped? Tactics are pretty much charge with Skullcrushers then Charge with Glaive Knights. Anivil and anvil?

    Edit: forgot standards on Knights

  8. So I've snagged a couple of Khorne start collecting boxes and the new battletome.

I've made posts on other forums but a kind stranger said this is the best place for advice.
I'm currently reading throught the Khorne mega-thread and I'm a bit overwhelmed.

What sort of lists can I play at around 1000pts? Any tactical advice? What should I buy next?

Command traits and relics are especially confusing for me.

    The models I have are:
1 x Mighty Lord of Khorne
    1 x Bloodsecrator
    1 x Bloodstoker
    1 x Slaughterpriest with Hack-blade and Wrath-hammer
    1 x Khorgorath
    3 x Mighty Skullcrushers
    15 x Blood Warriors
    10 x Bloodreavers
    1 x Karanak
    5 x Flesh Hounds
