[Do artefacts have to be chosen before the game starts?]

So could I say what artefact I want at the beginning  and then summon a hero to use it?

When playing death vs death and both are using gravesites do both players place their four gravesites so they’ll be 8 on the table? Also can both players use the enemy’s for summoning, healing and placing units ‘in the grave’?
