Today at 16:00 UK time the topic of the WarhammerTV stream is "Duardins of the mortal realms"!

A reminder if someone of you ia interested.

(You can find them on twitch, search foe warhammertv, should pop)

I'll sadly miss that more then likely. Keep us posted....and all you venerable Longbeards, be sure to grumble about Dispossesed so they know we're itching for support!

Lads I'm not here to sell miniatures but we should focus on what we have.

Not going to call you a liar and say we're top tier but I cannot believe that anyone here bought Dispossessed for their competitive shot.

We waited since August 2018, in 3 months now the gh19 should be out and a couple more tome announced!

Let AT LEAST wait to see those allegiance abilities on the gh19, than, if they suck, I'll bring my pitchfork with you. Until then we chill and act like f***ing Longbeards, not beardling.

Wait, don't don't Longbeards grumble and moan all the time? >.>

I wish my local store had terrain like that. My small (three people) group is forced to use 40k terrain.

I think this is stuff the owner has had a long time. He's been playing since fantasy. In fact, he used to be a Dwarf player. They have 40k terrain there as well.

Awesome looks like a lot of fun. It’s almost always the same weakness I see in every battle report though.... we’re just too slow.

Yea, I feel you. Still, win or lose, I had a lot of fun. And I'm getting better with each game. One thing I will say though is that block of 30 Hammerers is SCARY. Especially if backed by a hero, they just refuse to budge

  4. Battle Report! I was at a doubles Tourney tonight. Played some weird tag teams and a casual game. I showed up and had no duo, so while the store owner tried to match everyone by Grand Alliance, I and another player had to make due wity the strange pairing  of Dispossesed and Beast Claw Raiderz. Rules were 1500 points per person.

    My list was as follows:

1 Warden King 120 (Trait: Siegemaster)

1 Runelord 100 (Relic: Ancestral Pickaxe)

    1 Runelordx100

    30 Hammerers 420

    20 Ironbreakers 280

    20 Irondrakes 360

    Total Points 1480

1st game was vs my roomate and another person lending him models, Nighthaunt vs Legion of Nagash. The objective was a moving one, and we managed to cap it before it moved to our side of the field. My roomate tried screening with Chain Radps, but even without rend the Irondrakes cleared them quickly. It was a slow slog, and sadly we ran out of time before my roomate coukd deepstrike with their Night Haunt elites. I tried teleporting with my Hammerers into the vampire lord but failed the charge even with the +2 to move and charge my partner gave with his endless spell. In fact, Dispossesed suffered no casualties Victory for Dispossesed and Beastclaw.

2nd round was Sylvaneth vs Grand Alliance Order with mostly Freeguild General and Crossbowmen, but also took a Hurricanum and a Luminark. Mode was 3 middle objectives with switching values. First time playing the trees and their terrain is a PAIN. This led to a slow but sure defeat ad our numbers were slowly hut surely whittled down and my opponents sufferes lityle casualties, as we had to deal with th e woods doing mortal wounds on very lucky rolls.

Sadly after that I was out of the tourney, but my duo partner and I played a 2k game after. Same list as above, but I added the following:

    1 Cogsmith 100

    1 Cannon 160

    30 Warriors 280

Game mode was simple: we both had an objective on our side of the field, and had to mstch forward to take our opponents. My opponent went first and managed to charge my Ironbreakers, who took the charge like champions and lost 2 men, killing one of his larger models in retaliation. From there, I marched my right flank of Warriors up, who screened my Irondrakes and Warden King. My Runelords buffed my Irondrakes and Ironbreakers before the one with the pickaxe grabbed my 30 block of Hammerers. The cannon sadly missed  almost every shot, in one instance my opponent getting a lucky save on a 6 when I did hit.

Next combat I charged his general with my Warriors screening him and locking him in place (This was right aftertye teleport). From there I hold the line, and my Hammers came in after I won the next turn, charged the units he had left on guard duty, and capped the objective by turn 3, winning me the game.

Next post has pictures taken by the owner of the Silver Dragon Tavern of Miami Florida.

  5. Very true! I have to hold myself back a bit though. I've bought quite a bit, and I'm now trying not to just buy a whole bunch of Kharadron Overlords all at once to expand my Dwarfversity (I am not sorry)

I may have to buy some Fyreslayers, but as a standalone faction they bore me. Whose bright idea was it to name the leader of each unit the Karl? Every. Single. One.

    • Haha 1
  6. I'd be curious to see the sales figures vs the amount of boxes produced for Dispossesed. The models seem to sell out quickly on GW, but it's hard to tell if people are buying large quantities or if it's just a small restock each time. It hasn't even been a full week since Longbeards/Hammerers, Quarrelers/Thunderers, and all their heroes restocked, and already the Runelord and Hammerers/Longbeards kits are unavailable again.

Thankfully I'm all set for the melee front for now, though I would love to get a few more boxes of Warriors in the future, and I just ordered two more boxes of Thunders, which will put my collection at 30 for both guns and crossbows, and I have all the heroes I need.

  7. I actually bought a start collecting box, so I have that all set. To clarify, the two Companies would be at 10 men each?

The Runelord would be an interesting pick, though sadly the only real use  I would get from him is spell unbinding, since his buffs very specifically target Dispossesed. Maybe a Grimwrath Berserker if I don't end up buffing the number of Thunderers (Which more likely)

Also, in people's opinion, are Skywardens worth it over Endrinriggers?

  8. I have a question for you all. I am a dwarf enthusiast who has been collecting Dispossesed models for some time now (I actually just finished getting my 2k list together).

I'm mainly a Dispossesed player at heart, but I really like the overall look and concept for Kharadron Overlords. To start with, what would be viable to include in a 1k army? The faction seems a bit difficult to build around points wise for me.

  9. I also don't feel like sacrificing the flavor that is the Dispossessed allegiance. I play as someone righting grudges and seeking to reestablish  my clan's hold to prominence. The "Free City" allegiance kind of dampens tgat for me.

  10. In response to a previous question I have no idea who my partner will be. That said I have thrown together a quick list.

    Warden King 120
    Runelord 100 (Pickaxe)
    100 Point Hero of Choice

    20 Ironbreakers 280
    30 Hammerers 420
    20 Irondrakes 360
    10 Longbeards 100

    Total 1480

Plan is to just go elite, go straightforward, and use pickaxe to cap objectives. The role or use of pickaxe may change. The unnamed hero will PROBABLY be a Runelord, but I have an Unforged on the way and I'm toying with the idea since we do have a Chaos player as well as someone that runs Beastclaw Raiders

That, to me, is a tournament list. But every Dispossessed player tend to have his personal idea about that and a lot revolve around the player playstyle.
First of all you need to play the objective game, few things in this game are going to remove in one turn 20 brakers+ Cannon from your objective. The cannon can help contest a middle of far objective and it force the opponent to move toward us.
The warden king command ability is beautifull to clear units. Runelord I think all of us know.

30 Hammerers, 30 Warriors and 20 Irondrakes are my pickaxe target for 3 reasons:
1- I need to contest objective and be present and resilent about it (Hammerers)
2- I need to snipe Heroes, a big monster, Nagash, LoN general etc (Irondrakes)
3- I need to put a brick of stone on an objective and hold it for 3 turn (Warriors)

That said we autolose a lot of battleplans (3 place of arcane power, the moving objective one is hard and the list goes on and on) but very few things we can do about it.

    Allegiance: Dispossessed

    Leaders
    Warden King (120)
    - General
    - Trait: Grudgebearer
    Runelord (100)
    - Artefact: Ancestral Pickaxe
    Runelord (100)
    Runelord (100)

    Battleline
    30 x Hammerers (420)
    20 x Ironbreakers (280)
    30 x Warriors (240)
    - Axes or Hammers
    10 x Longbeards (100)
    - Axes or Hammers

    Units
    20 x Irondrakes (360)

    War Machines
    Cannon (160)

    Total: 1980 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 0
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 134

Always remember that whatever i say come frome MY experience and the army I play against. I always invite you to build your list and test it cause it's the only way to find a good one for YOU. We've a VERY little representation at tournaments and that make very hard to discuss competitive listbuilding.

Fun fact, I just finished my 2k list for assembly and this is the EXACT list I'll be running. I was thinking, as an option, of swapping one Runelord with a Cogsmith for the cannon. Thoughts?

The concept is interesting but too onedimensional. What if no magic is on the table, lets say we face khorne or KO or fyreslayer or some low magic opponent like Stormcast, Idoneth, BoC etc? Could be good against 4 spells/round but what about the 0-2 spells/round army?

Seems like a mechanic that buff our units the more the opponent shoot at them. What if the opponent dosn't have shooting? Is magic really that heavy right now? What if in an year from now magic isn't that strong cause shooting is on the rise and wizards get sniped?

I agree, though the base concept would be interesting. Perhaps we get these runes in place of spells? Something to help even the playing field or make us stand out a bit. Or maybe we get something that benefits ys whenever we fulfill a grudge on the table in some way?

  13. I uploaded this on reddit but I figured I would share this little guy here. His name is Sergeant Svenson. I wanted one of my Hammerers to looka little different, and act as a second in command to the unit fluff wise. I was thinking of digging out a tray from the Quarrelers/Thunders that I had laying around and giving him a pipe as well. Also still need to add his shoulder plate

I much prefer cannon, when i see random value in the "attacks" i kinda freek out. I always try to do math while planning the turn, and those random numbers...not my thing.

Endrinrigger are way overcosted out of kharadron, such as even KO players start to play Evocators instead (in our allegiance they are high mobility, in KO heavy hitters. Kinda different role)

Still like fulminators more, to add mobility. But still, if you want to keep the duardin theme a couple of gyrobombers should do the job!(16 points x wound instead of the 30 points x wound of the endrinriggers)

I see. Dropping a unit of Longbeards and about 10 Ironbreakers would put it in a good place. That way I still have three large infantry blobs to work with and plenty of support from the Runelords and Warden King

    I like that list !

But it's quite slow. I would try to get some space for some fast moving allies like 6 endrinriggers/skywardens for instance (add more shooting and great mobility). Maybe by removing 1 runelords, 10 hammerers, 10 ironbreakers or 10 longbeards (maybe try different setups to see what's better).

A good point. I have Endrinriggers laying around from the KO Get Started Box, though I hope I haven't misplaced the little stands that prop them up

  16. The original list includes a cannon and a gun master, but doesn't have the warriors. What would be your opinion on an organ gun vs a cannon? I have a box that can make either that hasn't been assembled yet

  17. I've come up with a slight variation of the 2k list I've been planning. Lemme know what you all think. It foregoes artillery and focuses on a simple forward march.

    1 Warden King 120

    3 Runelords 300

    30 Dwarf Warriors 240

    30 Ironbreakers 360

    30 Hammerers 420

    20 Irondrakes 360

    10 Longbeards 100

    10 Longbeards 100

    Total Point Value 2000/2000

    Thank Valaya! :D

This is excellent news actually.  Not only will they stay as a stand alone faction, but they're getting their warmachines back!  I was convinced the latter would never happen, but here we are!  Question is, it the Dispossessed keyword replacing Ironweld Arsenal, or is it simply being added to their warscroll?  I would hope it's the latter.

It certainly means that cannon I bought wasn't a waste of money

Awesome, losing is honestly just as fun sometimes, and creates plenty more grudges. Play enough and you’ll master the army. And by then we’ll likely have a battletome.

Yea, it was a LOT of fun. The Ironbreakers in particular managed to hold a line better then they had any right to, dying to the last man without fleeing to protect their king as long as possible. It was an epic feeling, and the people unfamiliar with Dispossesed seemed to think they were pretty cool

  20. So I played for the first time ever this past Sunday...and got slaughtered each time. I was up againt Demons of Slaanesh, Stormcast hunters, and Ice Ogres. That said, the people that play in the store, as well as the owner, were all super cool people who offered a lot of advice. I feel I learned a lot about the game and how I need to play around my faction pick.
