My friend is in the same situation and when I play against him I always allow him to use all wood elves and wanderer units together as wanderers allegiance.
Main reason is the wanderers are underpower compared to the later battletomes (thanks power creep) so it makes it a bit more fair in friendly games this way.

You'd probably need to be a little more specific, what type of Sylvaneth are you facing? Is it an Alarielle?

I remember seeing a table summarising expected damage output of:
Castigators vs. Judicators vs. Ballista
Can anyone remember where this table was from and link it again?
Also (maths heavy question), how do you even go about calculating the average wounds for a Ballista on rapid fire? I need some maths-hammer experts to teach me the probability calculations, I failed to do it in excel.

I played a few games with my boy and the Lord-Ordinator buffs were appreciated. However, I'm making a "mixed Order pirate aelfy list" that currently has me deciding between Tenebrael Shard + Sword of Judgment and a second Sorceress, vs a converted Lord-Ordinator (Fleetmaster on a 40mm base with a telescope and measuring implements) and Shadowblade Assassin. Both I think suit the list, but if the Lord-Ordinator won't add the value to the two Ballista I'll take, the Shard and a 2nd Sorceress might give me more mileage/cause less issues with counts-as.
I've read countless times on this forum.
3 Ballista > 2 Ballista + Ordinator
4 Ballista ~= 3 Ballista + Ordinator (depending on situation)

Why wouldn't you just take Incantor in Skirmish? He is broken if your playing rules as written since his mortal wound output in Skirmish is absurd both spell and flask-wise.

Is there any reason to play Gors of Ungors?
In the games I've played the 32 mm base is a real deal breaker for them considering you have to take them in 20+ models to be effective. Ungors just seem to outshine them being able to attack in 2 ranks and are cheaper too.
Seriously, in what way can you use Gors so they outperform Ungors? I have yet to work this out.

Liberators vs. Steelhearts Champions?
Cant decide which is better. Both the same cost.
Steelheart has slightly better weapons and +1 save
Liberators have 2 extra models (4 wounds).

I'm new to this hobby, just have Soul Wars + Tempest of Souls + Storm Strike (all the starter sets). So have a lot of general infantry.
I want to paint something larger, but I also want it to be able to compliment my existing stormcast units in an actual game (competitive).
What would you guys recommend I invest in?

I played against them a few days ago. I have to say, with the new tome, they feel significantly faster.
I'd consider deploying a bit back as it isn't unreasonable for them to close a 24" gap in turn 1.
