  1. Does anyone know for how long this special Black Library models will be usually available? I guess those are limited for sales.

Do you believe there is still a chance to get Cado Ezechiar ~mid of October?

I would like to wait for the 10€ voucher from the Warhammer+ subscription 😉

  2. I just had a closer look at the new GHB and have a question. Hopefully it wasn't discussed before...

    In section 27.4 it states:

"If the allegiance abilities for a subfaction include a command trait and the general of your army has the keyword for that subfaction, then that command trait must be the one you give to your general. If the allegiance abilities for a subfaction include an artefact of power and any HEROES in your army have the keyword for that subfaction, then that artefact of power must be the first artefact of power given to one of those HEROES."

Does this mean I can ignore the command traits and artefacts from our glades and use the generic ones, as none of the Sylvaneth models has the glades as a keyword assigned?

So Durthu could always receive Gnarled Warrior (reroll saves of 1) and Amulet of Destiny (5+ ward save) as a general.

Update: Ignore my question. The Battletome clearly states that every model within the glade automatically receives the keyword 😉

I’ve seen variously the insinuation that she’s over costed by 120 points or so. Overpriced by 120 points doesn’t mean very much. What can I get for 120pts? A unit of dryads? A Wtych? Two units of spites to screen locally (since they’re pretty much stuck where you put them). Would any of those options make a difference between wining or losing the battle?  Not really.

I think this a bit too simplified thinking.

I agree, you might not get a great addition for the 120pts alone. But maybe if you can use the 120pts in combination with another ~100pts you just squeezed into your 2k list before for a unit you didn't really need. E.g. you could afford a unit of Kurnoths instead of 10 dryads or something similar. So it always depends on the full context.

  4. Unfortunately I haven't played my Sylvaneth that much since the Covid thing started. But I still like Alarielle's summoning feature and I am happy to spend ~200pts more in her point cost. Even if not all of the summable units are worth 200pts it gives you a lot of flexibility based situations in game, e.g. do I need Kurnoths with bows/swords/scythes, a tree lord, reventants...

As they will come at the end of the movement phase you can even get them in a better position if alarielle moved full 16inch (in theory).

I am always happy to spend those 200points extra, rather than being bound to a specific unit with the start of the game.

However I also think 740 is a bit too much, based on the missing protection against MW no matter how good the healing is.

A +1 to cast would also have been great, at least close to Wyldwoods. E.g. why can a warsong reventant cast a spells easier than her goodness 😄

He refers to 4 from you and 4 from your enemy. So 8 in total per charge phase.

They confirmed some of these rules will have additions in battletomes, so we may see extra monster rampages that allow more than 4 in some armies.

I just don't get, why you get access to the monstrous rampage in the oppenent's charge phase where you actually did not charge 🤔

    I don't like that idea...

  6. It looks like people like the zombie / deathstench drove battalion combo for the +1A on the zombies.

How can we rely on a 6W & 6+SV model (corpse cart) for the buffs that can easily be shut down even by the worst shooters in one round? As part of this battalion the corpse cart will easily get focus.

Maybe there are options I currently just don't see to protect it.

BTW, regarding the new skeletons, as an opponent I would just wait to fight against them up until the very end of the combat phase and let them fight first. They won't do any harm anyway 🙂 So it always depends on the number of activations on each side if the rule to bring them back on a 4+ kicks in.

  7. Not sure if it was mentioned before. But Vanhel's Dance Macabre lasts until your next hero phase. So the affected unit could potentially fight another time twice if it is your oppenents turn afterwards, right?

Might be nice for grave guards even if you only seem to be able to add attacks with the VP lords CA.
