  1. Also, its super easy to magnetize them in a way that will give you at least 4 options, even all 6 with just a little bit more work. You obviously magnetize the heads, always use the double saddle version, you can always put a second rider on there or just put a magnet in something like a treasure chest and put it on the second saddle when used as a frostlord/huskard. Magnetizing the heroes hand is optional imo, You can always give him both the spear and the bird and use him "counts as".

    I'd strongly suggest magnetizing the heads, riders and anything you build vertically such as banners etc. on them, as well as using the short tails instead of the long ones. Without the heads and tails the model is pretty easy to transport in just a carton box with loads of foam pieces inside. Mine is 32x22x20 cm, I filled the bottom with about 3cm layer of expanding foam (the kind you use to fill holes around windows etc), cut 4 120x90 mm "pools" in the foam so they fit in just about. Total cost around 2 euro.

    That would be awesome. I was having this idea that, since we are the ugly child of allegiances so far, maybe we could get another "Stoneklaws Gutstompas" type of thing, lets say for all ogor factions (bcr, gutbuster, maneaters, firebelly, old compendium), or a pure monster one with trolls, gargants, destruction monsters, fimir etc. It gives us something to play with, gives an oportunity for compendium armies to have a place and it doesnt need new models.

    To dispel the endless spell the wizard needs to be within 30inch and be able to see the spell.

    Im kind of new to this AoS stuff so im afraid im missing something here....but isnt this a bit self-contradictory?

     

    EDIT: Oooh i get it now. TIL dispell and unbind are NOT synonyms:)

    I dont have either official model, thankfully my local shop is ok (and even in some way encourages) with alternatives, conversions etc. so its not a problem. My math sucks, but i had a gut feeling that a straight +2 is better then one full reroll on a difficulty of 7 (cogs). Guess im wrong though:)

    That, my friend, is a great tip. Somehow i just looked at all the realm artefacts looking for a way to buff the mournfang a i completly looked over the weapons.

    Just wanted to ask a question about the cogs....line of sight is needed for dispell right? But not for the cogs +movement effect? As in, i can cast cogs behind terrain and it will still work on units that can see the spell model?

    Also, did anyone try running the Overtyrant, Goldtooth and/or Rhinox Riders from the old compendium?

    The idea is to possibly use Cogs turn one and get a cauldron-buffed unit of mournfangs to charge ( or in case of the first list, go for the Rockeye/debuff from the hag in the second turn on the charged unit) and score with grots. Having two units of moonclan seems fun to me on paper as it keeps your oponent guessing which one is holding the fanatics. As for the Pendulum, i just want to try the new offensive endless spells and this one seems like its least likely to backfire.

    any comments or criticizm welcome.

     

  7. What is your opinion on Ironguts? I've been running them as allies in BCR in various combinations (6 ironguts, 3+3maneaters,3+40 grots,3+ironblaster) and everytime they seem underwhelming...most ive gotten from them is the psychological factor of oponents not wanting to fight such "elite" infantry.

  8. Hello everyone, ive been considering a Warherd army as my second one. A battalion called Bullscorch Bulltribe called my eye as it gives them Khorne keyword, but afaik its not allowed in matched play due to lack of points. Any info if such battalions will be viable in 2.0?
