  1. To be honest the meta does not seem that much dominated by shooting. And we have already 2 debuff to shooting armies, with smaller tables and reduced screening (coherency). Add the +1 save command, add all the rumore pointing to smaller unit sizes, I don't get what you want more

Hnnnnn these rules are meh(i dont wanna say the worst rules ever written because gw history is long but they qre close)

A +1 ld only to serpents and harpies as sub faction rules? A 2\10

The warden king comand ability copy pasted? Great a 10\10 but i dont think be worth with that useless faction rules

Citys alegiance is a big useless piece of junk, one time per game ignore rend a hero or a +1hit that dont affect to mounts? A 0\10 and the worst alegiance never done. I would take anvilgard everyday before this ******

Stormcast getting some citys units?with allys are more or less the same so no big chance, and only comand ability working is useless, if every ability relic etc would work in citys as stormcast would be ok but only comands is useless 2\10

Idoneths is only the battallion that only for less drops and extra comand point etc worth but also it isnt so bad 7\10

Khaos is the good,i think is convert a hero in a prayer? If it is then it is a 8\10

In general seems very lacking and a book 100% useless for tournaments or competitive gaming. I hope be better in lore

It really depends on the other parts of the rules, these are only partial

Whether women were warriors historically is actually more debatable than a lot of people think. It really depends on the era. There are some parts of history when they definitely weren't warriors so beyond people like Mulan, Joan of Arc and other similar stories, it would be odd to see a woman on the battle field. That trend continued right into the 20th century, so covers most of the most popular historical wargaming genres.

It has also very much coloured the interpretations of historians and archaeologists. Graves of viking women have been found where they were buried with weapons. This was largely dismissed, as being their husband's weapons or some sort of ritual weapons. But that interpretation derived from the assumption that "women didn't fight, therefore there must be another explanation" . You then get a feed back loop, and the evidence is only now being reassessed. There are also graves where the sex of the deceased cannot be definitively determined from what remains of the body, but they had a sword so were determined to be male. As Archaeology has advanced we now have the technology to do genetic anaylsis, and question the assumptions of those victorian archaeologists whose perception of the evidence was coloured by their own cultures biases about the past.

So where there lady knights? Mostly not. But female vikings? quite possible. Celtic warriors? Boudicca fought in battles quite famously, and the Romans seem to suggest that there were groups where the women fought. The amazons of greek myth may have been inspired by the Scythians, so while we may never be certain its unwise to dismiss anything as unhistorcal. The past was often very different than we think!

If we take in account only history, in some culture (celts, viking,,...) there were some woman warrior, but even there they were vastly a minority. And thats mainly a) most of past cultures were patriarcal and b)because biologically women are (in average) not as strong as men and thats a huge disvantage in melee fight. The second point is what make me be ok with space marine INFANTRY being only male (while pilots should in general be mostly or, if taken to an extreem only, women).

However, AoS is A fantasy setting, with species that are totally different from human biology. Stormcast are infused with holy power and thunder, human biology has basically no more meaning there. Elfs seem to be phisically equal in both gender, undead are powered by necromancy (most of them do not even have muscles anymore). There are so many species in the real world with larger (and then stronger) female that it sould be strange not to have almost one in a "realistic" fantasy setting, if we want to go the route of fantastic-that-has-roots-on-reality.

Interresting changes. I personnally would like to see subfactions within a stormhost similar to the seraphon battletome. Maybe chamber specific allegiance abilities although I m worried that our force get split into 3 or more but it s not like gw has not done that before

It could just be some minor improvement on shock and awe if your army is chamber specific, thematically related to the main flavor of the chamber.

Maybe something like sacrosant can cast a spell like it is the hero phase if they did not already cast , vanguard can be set up 6" instead of 9", warrior get an invulnerability save of 6+, extremis can reroll wound rolls (roughly, i do not pretend these are balanced effect, it's just to give an idea of what i mean for "thematically related". and probably extremis need something different)

Sight - not going to argue with you,  not because I couldn’t, simply because it is a bit disheartening and pointless. My biggest concern is that various governments have chosen to address this issue very differently - there is no one line of thought and no one line of defense/tackling the problem. There is probably not even a 100% right or wrong (just on the basis that almost everything is based on assumptions and probability) where if we get a vaccine soonish - your line of thought will be right and if we don’t then any type of lockdown for a couple of years (not even full but periodical) will be much more disastrous then the possible deaths. Saying that - once again, one should always follow the actual recommendations of your country in question - so if you are in “lockdown” then meetings should be avoided. For those of us where public life is still open/encouraged - then game on (with care and consideration).

Please consider that flock immunity is not guarnteed. Right by now there is no evidence of immunization and, if there is any, we ar not sure how long it can last. Even if you can reach the flock immunity, avoiding social contacts is required to not overload hospitals. In Uk  you have 7 critical care places (beds? sorry, not native english as you can see, i don't know the correct word) every 100K inhabitants. It means that if you have 8 critical COV-19 situations every 100k inhabitants one is guaranteed to die, not considering that critical care  have to deal to all the not COV19 critical situations (heart attack, car crashes,  stokes, other repiratory patologies, ecc. ecc.)

Moreover you cannot just avoid sick people, because the symptoms can manifest several days after contracting coronavirus; so you can contract it from someone apparently healthy.

  8. Do anyone has some feedback about crossbow judicators? How do they perform? Based on my calculation they should do more damage in almost any situation, but is it worth it considering the halved range? And what about the special weapon? The crossbow seem to be more effective VS hordes while the bow performs better against heroes
