Can the Acolytes and Pinks still cast their spells after they drop below 9 models?

The warscrolls say they are wizards at 9+ but this game is new to me so the rules are tricky still.

Awesome that's good to know. I know the normal kit has the option but wasn't sure the Aetherwar ones did.

What about include some StD units? or just go straight Tzeentch

@rockmanko I don't think the disc birds in the box give an option to build them as 6 Skyfires or 6 Enlightened. When I opened mine to pull out the KO stuff I looked the directions over and they're 3 enlightened and 3 skyfires.

EDIT: I’d say drop the Enlightened and an Exalted Flamer and put in 6 more flamers and buy a Command point.

Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out list building being new to AoS and trying to build a good core starting list based on the models I do have. I wasn't set on having the Shaman but tossed him in the list since I had a lot of Tzaangors and thought he could buff them.

However, with that list the only models I actually have are the Tzaangors, Kairics, and the Disc Tzaans.

I have: Tzaangors, 20 Acolytes (NIB), The Changling, 10 Pink Horrors (NIB), 10 Blue Horrors (NIB & 10 Brims), Magister on Disc, 3 Enlightened, and 3 Skyfires, and 3 Screamers.

This is a list I've put together so far. No idea how it will play or if it's even remotely good. I want to avoid broken/annoying stuff to play against but not field a bad army either.

Leaders:

Lord of Change

Tzaangor Shaman

Battleline:

10 x Kairic Acolytes

Good info so far about Tzaangors. What's the consensus on their weapon loadouts?  I'd built 10 a few months back when I was going to put them in a Thousand Sons list.

They're built with the 2 great weapons, the instrument, the leader has a shield and the others have dual swords so I'm not sure of they're usable in this configuration with building out the other box I have or if I need to just ignore them and make 20 fresh ones.

I've been wanting to play Tzeentch for the longest time but being so new to AoS I suck at building lists. Suggestions on a good core list to start with using the models I do have already?

1 box of Acolytes (20)

1 box of Tzaangors (10)

10 x Tzaangors (built with dual blades and only a horn for my Thousand Sons list i was building to mess with 40k but not sure if i want to use these as i can paint better now and i dont like their basing)

1 box of Pink Horrors (10)

1 box of Horrors (10 blues 10 brims)

The Changling

Aetherwar Box (Magister on Disk, 3 Enlightened on Disks, 3 Skyfires, 3 Screamers).

I've been trying to build something with synergy but my lists always look like I randomly throw models into the builder lol.

I figure I'll have multiple lists and will buy more models but I'd like to get an actual army on the table and playing sooner rather than later without having to keep change everything all the time.
