  1. So reading the Liber Bubonicus "The bearer can use the Plague Prayer ability from the Plague Priest(Not bold) warscroll. If the bearer is a Plague Priest(Bold), then it can use the Plague Prayers ability twice in you hero phase." So notably the plague furnace has the Noxious Prayers ability meaning this does not allow him to use those prayers twice, BUT with how the item is worded given he has the Plague Priest keyword(which when something is referred to in bold it is referring to the keyword) this means he can use his Noxious Prayers ability once and use the Plague Prayers ability twice. Any thoughts on this? I'm not saying this is intentional just that this is how it reads, but todays FAQ didn't say anything about it.

    1. Am I wrong in assuming suspicious stone 5+ reroll stacks with warpseers native 5+ reroll?

    2. Ogors seem good with a MM babysitter: He heals them, buffs bravery/ hit and battle trait gives them D3 extra wounds EACH MODEL, and rerolling hits of 1. Depending on how reliable gnaw holes are (havent played with them yet) they could be a fairly mobile threat.  Anyone play around with these guys yet?

    3. Are double engineers baby-sittting cannons overkill? Double dice on the cannons seems so incredibly strong, especially considering the cannons were very strong without the new ability. BUCKETS of MW. Considering taking one engineer out for extra command points.

    4. Gutter runners for some sneaky shenanigans? Considering we will rarely if ever go first, these guys offer some deepstrike support and now benefit from +1 to hit while 20+. So You have to get the charge off for that bonus to matter, but they stay hidden until your first movement phase and the alternate list has an extra command point for rerolling that charge. I had a lot of success with them as wizard/hero bullies before skaventide. 🐀

    1. From what I understand that's how it works, but I'm not sure.

    2. I'd rather have a hellpit abomination

    3. I don't think it's overkill at all. I actually think it's near mandatory.

I also think the Screaming Bell is very strong and you should try to include it.

Any thoughts on if a minimum sized claw horde is worth it? I'm planning on having 2x40 clanrats and 40 stormvermin with a claw lord to be the core of my army. It seems like a lot of points for the benefit of maybe saving a command point in the combat phase because I doubt I will consistently keep all 3 units within 13" of the clawlord and I'm heavily considering a warpseer so I should have a decent number of command points to use the clawlord's ability multiple times anyway.

Honestly I think the way to go is 40 40 10. You mostly want this for the extra artifact and a slightly smaller drop. The occasional times that you use the bonus command is just extra really. It's the only battalion that mixed skaventide can realistically run.

Before: Note which unit the assassin is hiding in, if it is destroyed, he dies.

Now: Set him aside. Deploy him within 1 of ANY skaven unit of 5 or more models at the start of any combat phase.

That's a straight up buff to me, combat activation be damned. Now any of your infantry units could be hiding an assassin, and your opponent knows it. That's an extremely powerful mindgame tool, and allows you to reveal him exactly when, and where you want him. Slap a powerful artifact on top of that, and you'll be forcing costly positioning mistakes from an opponent as he's forced to protect himself from even a handful of useless clanrats :) Simply because the assassin could pop out of them if you got the opening.

Might have turned the assassin into an auto-include for me actually.

But it doesn't say he attacks before everyone else. Now sure if it's your turn you can attack with him first, but you don't get to attack again with another unit after anymore.

At least it seems more thematic than hiding it in the robe of some arch warlock :)

Do you guys think that if we have several warlords we could still buff one jbit several time? Does the "this command ability" refers to the specific warlord's one, or to gnash gnash their bone ?

    Refers to gnash gnash

  6. What do you guys think about the assassin nerf? It pretty much makes him useless now right? He doesn't even attack before everything else anymore and the limit on where you can set him up ruins him. I don't know why they didn't just make him the same as that order assassin. I guess they didn't like the skitterleap combo....really strange to change it after the original faqs

Pestilens are Nurgle models and can be a part of a nurgle army but if you had a pure pestilens army, it would be a pestilens army and not a nurgle army. Its kind of like having a Slaves army that was all marked nurgle, but taken as a slaves allegiance rather than nurgle. So all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares kind of thing.

Edit: Oh wait you mean a slaves army taking petsilens as allies? That I can't remember!

Sorry my wording was weird. I didn't mean to take them as battle line for pestilens, just using it as a bad example. I just mean purely as allies. Since pestilens can take nurgle as allies.

  8. Can clan pestilens take slaves to darkness as allies if they're marked as nurgle? They say you can mark them when you first set them up. Does that still count for list building? I assume it does if they can be taken as battleline for nurgle. Just want to make sure.

  9. Question about Redmaw Plague, does it last the rest of the game? Like every time the enemy hero is near other enemy units and not near yours do you get to take it over for the combat phase? Or just once and then it's done.

Regarding the Stormvermin 30/500  topic from Friday: The new Warscroll-Builder is online and Stormvermin are-cost 30/420 and 40/500 it says …

I wouldn't read too much into it. There are still some that haven't been updated. Warpgrinder team is still 100 on there even tho ghb says 80. I assume they still meant to change them. Errata will be final say whenever it comes. I would use the old stormvermin points till its fixed.

  11. Ya I don't get the point increase. I honestly don't even think the battalion is that great. In the new edition you can reroll charges with cp anyway and the 6+ save is helpful in keeping rats alive at range, but you kind of want your rats to die in combat phase so they can blow up. I've been thinking of dropping it after the point changes, but the extra artifact could be very strong in the new edition.
