Would seem like an odd teaser for fluor paints... the video made it look more like those old kids' pictures where you just add water and it paints itself - which clearly it isn't! But I'm intrigued at least.

It's clear to me this is part of the new Cities of Sigmar/Dawnbringer Crusade. The unit is the Defenders Librarius, and this is the weapon choice for the somewhat ambitious Book Launcher...

Interesting. My inital response to the AoS segment was that it was a bit underwhelming - some scenery, a narrative book and yet another endless spell (effectively) didn't seem like much of a step forward in the context of what we've had for AoS 3.0 in the past 9 months. Though I didn't have big expectations of something like a new faction, so I certainly wouldn't say I felt disappointed.
That said, now I've seen the new NH hero - which is gorgeous - I'm more upbeat.
- Scenery: Some cool bits in there, I especially like the mini-Shrine and statue, though I already have plenty of scenery and these days (cost of living plus new pricing) I probably won't go for it.
- The Incarnate: I don't really like the model much, but this may just be endless spell fatigue. I realise there's apparently more to it than that, and it could be that with more context/rules it's really cool. So I'll withold judgement until there's a bit more info.
- Thondia book: I buy all of the narrative books, so I'm sure this one won't be an exception. I'm still a bit unsure of how the Season of War thing will work - if GHB is coming in the normal time, and it will change to a new realm, this does seem a bit late in the year to introduce, and would have been more logical alongside Dominion? Maybe it was COVID delays.

Overall it's great to see a substantial new unit for Nighthaunt - and along with the Scriptor and Crossbows, that's encouraging to see. I guess at the same time, I can't help but wonder why Fyreslayers - arguably much more in need of something substantial to boost variety... and not just another foot character - didn't get anything.
I'm sureI hope we'll see plenty more for AoS 3.0 this year, so far since new Stormcast and Kruleboyz I think it's just 2 new hero models (Idoneth and Fyreslayers), with 3 new heroes (NH and DoK) plus one unit (NH) to come.

While I'd love to see more AoS (in the year of a new edition, it's been really quiet), I don't begrudge Eldar getting a big place in the spotlight. Although I don't play 40k any more, Eldar were one of my first loves in 40k back in the day, and they've had a long time without any love.
Still, I hope AoS will get some great releases early in 2022!

Yeah that's a fair point. With the models I have, I could make this list:
- Liege-Kavalos
- Soulreaper
- 10 x Mortek Guard
- 10 x Mortek Guard
- 5 x Kavalos Deathriders
- 4 x Harbingers
- 6 x Necropolis Stalkers
That comes to exactly 1500pts.

I've played a few games of AoS3 with OBR, and I'm struggling for consistency. We play at 1500pts, and the last game was against a heavily shielded Idoneth eels list. I struggled to make any kind of dent, with general lack of rend of mortal wounds.
Any advice?

Personally, applause to those people who refused to play the person. If you've paid EUR60 to attend, it's not a small thing to know you're ruining any chance of a victory, to make the protest - for me, that action is really commendable.
I hope that, in future, tournaments can find a way to legally include rules in the sign-up terms and conditions to enable/empower TOs to take a stand as well.

As do I - but I'm not familiar as to whether or not it was posted in relation to something specific? Normally when big companies post something like this (unfortunately) it's only in reponse to something.

So over the weekend the app wiped all my Stormforge lists. Has this happened to anybody else, or am I just lucky?

At least they've clarified September for the battletomes; I don't take that to mean any particular week, so I'll chill and just wait for the preview as and when.

They don't even need to go deep into reasons; even if that's the case, just a line in the article saying "Oh by the way, we know we said August for the battletomes, but the nurglings have messed up some of the wires, and it'll be a little longer now. Sorry about that!"

I hate being treated like I'm stupid... retro-editing the dates and trying to pretend "it never happened..." - it was the thing that really annoyed me about Cursed City. Just be straight with us...

I would settle for a pale grey that didn't turn into chewing gum in 9 seconds.
Or, generally, a different pot design/dropper bottle alternatives.
But I don't think it will be either of those.
