I mean they definitely went up in points but against non rending units they're an absolute brick wall. The change to their fortress of boughs from "didn't move in the last movement phase" to "didn't move this turn" means they will almost always be getting that buff. Terrain or the discounted sisters of the thorn turn them into a 2+ bouncing mortals on 6's. If you look at those two as a package they actually got 20 points cheaper (for a 10/5 split)

Looking at them with their buff active (which again it will always be unless you charge or get charged on your turn after moving?) Then they've got 21 attacks at 2+/3+/-/1 and a 3+ save at worst. That's a fairly elite unit for a 130 point battleline. They're probably in general not as good as Pheonix guard but comparing them against sequitors they're only marginally less killy while being more durable and better at area and objective control.

I for one don't consider them nerfed because I like my elves to be expensive and good rather than chaff.

    Isn’t piling in considered a “move” ?
cause if they only lose their buff on a charge or normal move/run then they are way better than most battlines :)

I am wondering am i the only one who thinks the living city is going to be  one hell of a army to fight?  Between  hidden path, shadow warriors and tree revenants. A living city army can just deploy or redeploy in reaction to the enemies battle plan. That seems verry powerfull.  More so since a lot of  cities of sigmar units get bonuses if they don't move. And placement is not movement.

    I believe that too

but I don’t know what could be our best options for the shoot and melt away ability of our army . What units should we place for the maximum utility of our command ability ?

I am thinking a 30 units of sisters of the watch firing and then moving away and maybe Durthu for a killer charge but I don’t know what to think else for both a shooting attack and the a killer charge .

  3. Help me out a bit my trusty grove ,

i have 1 spirit of Durthu  , 1 treelord ancient and 1 treelord . And I have 1 more in the sprue

given the new battle tome what do you think I should build him ? Durthu , treelord or ancient ?

    (I don’t really like magnets )

I don’t think so. Rules say 6” for faction terrain pieces deployed by an allegiance ability. A mystical rock is just... a mystical rock.

Right now, the default terain is one of like 8 kits and you have to use the warcrolls. If you want to sub in something use you can (dreadstone blight for example), you just have to use it’s warscroll. If it doesn’t have one, you have to roll for mystical terrain

But wait a frigging minute. does that say 10” tall at its tallest point? Is this from the new GHB?

    Yup

  5. Noobie question :

Can a unit that has “fly” keyword see my unit that is inside a Sylvaneth Wyldwood ? (All the models on the terrain)

can the flying unit make a spell against my covered unit if the spell say “must me visible” ?

  6. Hi all !

I am struggling to deal with the night haunts :( he usually has a unit of 9 spirit hosts (!) and something about 30 the unit with the shyths.

we are playing at 1750 points

can you advise me as how I can counter him ?

Cool, I think I'll make a blog about our campaign then to keep the updates for it in one place (and also put some translation in it, since I don't think many people here know Russian)

Don’t forget to tell us the link ;)
