[AoS abandoned by my gaming group. Would like to see more QoL improvments for the game!]

My gaming group all ended up swapping from exclusive sigmar to now exclusive 40k. The third edition rules proved too complex and irritating, the seasons changing how everything played for no reason, we all just missed 2nd ed and talks were had to go back. However we all rather move forward, so we climbed on board 40k and have been having a blast.

Having said that, we all keep tabs on model / army releases for sigmar and get excited for the lore and what's coming, so I think if the rules were more palatable we would probably all come back overnight.

 

For context, none of us are tournament players / competitive, purely beer and pretzel sigmar players

Yea it could do with some spicing up. We get hints at things like Fimir, Grotbag Scuttlers and Drogrukh that could happen for destruction. Or perhaps something as yet unknown in the narrative, to be revealed in the new campaign tome fluff.

So if it wasn't Ogors and Gits (which it will be) then I would love to see the Grot Sky Pirates.  They've been mentioned quite frequently in the fluff and the sky's the limit (GEDDIT) for the minis and theme.  Would be so cool.

The other one would be Drogrukh (Kragnos's kin), he still has the keyword on his warscroll but it currently does nothing.  In the fluff they've died out but if they wanted to do the army they could easily shoe-horn them back in with some superficial justification, like they did with Morathi and dragons. 

But yeah.  It'll be Ogors and Gits.  I just hope they're good.

 

Agree with this assessment. Most likely if they added a new army it would be tied to Kragnos in a heavy way, as it's his season, much like NH and OBR in the Nagash one. The Drogrukh or a variation of would make the most sense for a new army this edition.

Warscroll for Horns of Hashutt has been leaked, picture on it is NOT a chaos dwarf, its a human with a horned helmet, and the scroll is a generic warcry warband one, the special move being a charge causes mortal wounds on 6's for every model in the unit. I'm assuming meant to be as they stab you with their helmets.

Looks like new demon prince box, named guy Eternus plus prob new regular demon prince. Is that a new chaos sorc in the top right? New Chaos Lord on demonic mount on the left. I'm guessing separate box for the new chaos warriors coming then. Ogroid unit, centaur hero, chaos dwarf warband of some description. What is a chaos legionnaire? Pretty huge reveal  here and we haven't even gotten to the sylvaneth stuff lol.

I'd like better incentives to the double turn choice. I think endless spell control was really not enough of a decision against taking the double turn. I think the best space for double turn incentives is with mission objectives. Second turn player gets bonus points for objectives etc. Enough points to make fighting back from getting double turned a possible game changer. Just a spitball idea but I think could be refined into something fun.

They aren't counting the heroes in both scenarios. Its 80 for just the sylv troops, not including new hero, so 50 for gitz plus whatever new squig boss is worth.

I don't see any of the typical markings on any of those "khorne" models. They are painted red, otherwise look like an entirely new thing? The darkoath looking guys seem to line up pretty well aesthetically. Those new Furies are awesome. Looks like a bunch of new terrain too, which is neat.

I would 100% bank on demon replacements for the finecast Masque and Herald along with a new Keeper, as they tie in with 40k. They seem really happy to add demon units as they can sell them in both game systems.

Interesting thing I noticed in the back of the new Lifestone kids book for sigmar that just released is it has an appendix, which has some blurb about the factions in the book. Darkoath is mentioned there and says they roam with troll packs. Could be the return of chaos trolls? 👌🏻

I'm used to MMO's so I expect this completely. Its kinda like "hey the game is doing great and growing at a massive rate, there must be something wrong with it! quick change the core rules!"
