  1. Hey guys, me and a couple of my friends are having a mini tournament and I'm going up against OBR in the first round.

    My list is:

    Zaitrec

    Teclis

2x Cathallar (Silver wand on one, Fast learner and Gift of Cellenar on general

    2x20 Wardens

    2x10 Sentinels

    1x5 Dawnriders

    Aurulan legion

    Emerald lifeswarm

    I'm going up against:

    Null Myriad

    Arkhan

    Liege Kavalos

    Boneshaper

    2x20 Mortek guards w. blades

    1x5 deathriders

    1x3 Immortis guards

    1 Mortek crawler

    1 Gothizzar harvester

    Bone-tithe Shrieker

We are playing Scorched earth, I've had trouble against this kind of list in the past. I've usually been very defensive therefore I think I'll have to be more aggressive. I will get to use the new spell lore as well so my idea is to advance quite aggressivly, teleport one unit of wardens, speed of hysh the other and then walk all the other units up. When I'm in unbind range I'll probably use two spells from teclis to make sure to get protection off, then try to force one flank. I think the death riders are my #1 target just to hamper his mobility.

What do the fine people of TGA think?

Do you fine people have any tips or tactics?

Nice!  You might want to add a small dot or two of warmer color in there to help make the other colors pop a little more.  Your color transitions are really good though!

Thank you! I agree they look a bit cold atm, the bases will probably feature some warmer browns and lots of different colour flowers. Furthermore I'll try for some warm yellow on the blades of the weapons etc, colour wheel tells me turquoise, pink and yellow goes together ^^

Well do remember that Staunch + Ethereal is an anti-combo, since he can't benefit from both (though yes he can buff nearby dudes).

Mathematically Staunch is better than Ethereal against Rend- and the same against Rend-1, then better if you get the Warding Lantern on him. Most of the game is Rend- or Rend-1, with only a few big things being -2. Current wisdom would say drop the Amulet for Ignax's Scales and then use the ranged abilities to kill anything with high Rend before he gets there.

    Thank's for the insight!

Yeah staunch as mainly been there to buff the dracoths in the past but I'll try put Ignax's :) Guess I'll have learn to always keep the Castellant 12" behind the stardrake.

  4. Hi all, been running this list:

    Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals
    Mortal Realm: Shyish

    Leaders
    Lord-Celestant on Stardrake (560)
    - General
    - Celestine Hammer
    - Trait: Staunch Defender
    - Artefact: Ethereal Amulet
    - Mount Trait: Keen-clawed
    Lord-Castellant (100)
    Knight-Incantor (140)
    - Spell: Celestial Blades

    Battleline
    5 x Judicators (160)
    - Skybolt Bows
    - 1x Shockbolt Bows
    5 x Judicators (160)
    - Skybolt Bows
    - 1x Shockbolt Bows
    5 x Liberators (100)
    - Warhammers

    Units
    2 x Fulminators (240)
    2 x Fulminators (240)
    2 x Tempestors (220)

    Endless Spells
    Chronomantic Cogs (60)

    Total: 1980 / 2000
    Extra Command Points: 0
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 87

This list has done well the few games I've played and I like the Etheral amulet on the Stardrake but it is vulnerable against MW  and I'm not really feeling trading the Castellant for a relictor, so I'm looking for your advice,

Should I keep the Ethereal amulett and switch Staunch Defender for the 5+ MW-save or would he become tankier with Staunch defender and Ignax's scales? My thinking is that with staunch and then the Castellant buff the Stardrake will most often be at a 1+ save (+1 from staunch +1 from castelant )  rerolling 1's and since rend 3 is rare the save should not go below 3+ very often and the 4+ MW-save just seems so good.

What are your thoughts or experiences?

  5. Hi guys, sorry if this has been asked before bit I was wondering if you guys have any tacticts and tips fpr how to play the Glottkin. I've played a few games and I can't figure out if I should use him as support or as a wreacking ball. For all his wounds he seems to die rather quickly and is hard to protect from shooting.

How do you play the Glottkin?

  6. Hi, I'm going to a tournament in a couple of weeks and would like your input on my list:

    Allegiance: Sylvaneth

    Leaders
    Alarielle the Everqueen (600)
    - Deepwood Spell: Regrowth
    Treelord Ancient (300)
    - General
    - Trait: Gnarled Warrior
    - Artefact: Briarsheath
    - Deepwood Spell: The Dwellers Below
    Branchwych (80)
    - Artefact: Ranu's Lamentiri
    - Deepwood Spell: Verdant Blessing
    Branchwraith (80)
    - Artefact: Acorn of the Ages
    - Deepwood Spell: Throne of Vines

    Battleline
    10 x Dryads (100)
    5 x Tree-Revenants (80)
    5 x Tree-Revenants (80)

    Units
    3 x Kurnoth Hunters (200)
    - Scythes
    3 x Kurnoth Hunters (200)
    - Greatbows

    Battalions
    Household (100)
    Gnarlroot Wargrove (130)

    Total: 1950 / 20000
    Extra Command Points: 3

So the idea is to summon hunters or treelord with Alarielle depending on scenario prob first turn to not get blocket by opponent. Then the Wraith will cast Throne to help with summoning dryads, I'll have enough models for 2 extra 10man units of dryads. So the T-revs will cap objectives until I can get more dryads on them and then go of and be annoying. And with Gnarlroot I should be able to shut down most enemy magic phases. What do you think?
